Of course, Iran bears no responsibility for this incident at all. From IRNA, with thanks to Sr. Soph:
Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini Saturday categorically condemned the "illegal entry" into Iranian territorial waters of British forces.Hosseini considered the "illegal and interventionist" entry into Iranian territorial waters of British forces as a "suspicious move and contrary to international rules and regulations." Referring to the "biased nature of such movements", he said, "Violating the sovereign boundaries of other states and illegal entry denote unusual goals in violation of international commitments, the responsibility for which cannot be evaded under any justification."
l guess the border between iran and iraq are still too fuzzy for the iranian military. t
Has Great Britain closed down the Iranian Embassy as yet, and withdrawn its own ambassador? Have the other countries in the E.U. done the same, out of obvious solidarity?
No?
Why not?
I was waiting for an event that would start the ball rolling, we have just had it. I only wish we had a proper government in power and not this bunch of spineless fools.
Hugh, and why not, only weaklings keep talking after a certain point has been reached.
A military strike is not necessary. No Iranian commercial airliner should be allowed to land in any country allied with The UK. No Iranian ship should be permitted to enter any western port. No refined fuel should be sold to Iran. No oil should be purchsed from Iran. A complete economic embargo needs to be enforced until the British hostages are released.
Lies, Lies, Lies, LIES.....all iran and a muslim can do is LIE....there is NO TRUTH IN THEM...no ethics, no morality, no conscience, just darkness, murder, hate, manipulation and filth......time London dropped a few thousand bombs on Tehran to let them know the kidnap of 15 Brits is not acceptable...
It is approaching the time that some illegal nuclear missiles from the UK enter Iranian borders. That will send a message to stop this once and for all.
The time for talking is over. No negotiations with terrorists. Bomb them with maximum firepower.
The Shat al Arab is US territory, as is Abadan. This should be demonstrated in no uncertain terms. After all Iran needs some democracy too.
