I think it was last week that Israel asked the Pentagon for permission to flyover Iraq so they can bomb Iran’s nuke facilities, I cant wait.
Maybe the teeny tiny little nation of Israel will have to kick the crap out of Iran and Co. I just continue to miss Saddam Hussein at moments like this. He could curse these scumbags better than anyone here at the Watch.

Amy good points, all. The US cannot and will not give a green light for overhead flights over Iraq to attack Iran; not while US troops are stationed there. Iran would extract her revenge against Israel through "the US hostages" stationed in Iraq. That is the thinking. The Saudis would probably escort Israel's jets through their own air space as would Jordan, but you have to go through Iraq to hit Iran, unless you did it through via the Sea, but I think that wouldn't work.
A 'slow burn' against Iran is intel and covert action, like the "vanishing" of the Iranian General in recent days. Did he defect, was he lured, kidnapped??? And who is he talking to. Far from projecting strength, our troops stationed in Iraq are but targets, effectively curtailing our actions and the threat of actions.
But Israel is scarred, divided, with a corrupt leadership, inept. Israelis look to Begin as many Americans looked to the Gipper, as unspoiled, honest, patriots for their countries. In a tragic sense, the Camp David accords can be viewed as the beginning of the end for Israel, for after all those peace talks and peace processes, all you have to show is a fractured Israel: the right insisting all was for naught and the left pleading, "if we only give more to the Muslims, they wil put down their guns and study nanotechnology."
Meanwhile a new generation of Arabs have rejected the chimera of "leftism, secularism, Bathism, socialism" for unvarnished Islam, accepting no substitutes. There is no lack of clarity in the Hamas doctrine, and, make no mistake, Hamas is on the rise, while the corrupt bogus Fatah is on the decline. The conflict between Hamas and the PLO is not about ideology, but about who controls the purse strings of Jihad.
Why do we have to put up with his tough talk? If he wants war... give him his jihad!

I think Mahmoud, Assad, Nasrallah and Hamas (you know, all the good ole' boys!) are all planning for a summer offensive against Israel.. A recent Iranian state television special also indicated one of the possible days (without predicting a year) the Mahdi could return on could be the Spring Equinox, March 21st.. who knows, maybe in a couple weeks we'll see if it's this year that the ole' bag of bones himself emerges from the well! (and war against the infidel ensues until Islamic "justice" and "peace" reign over the earth!)
If only there were world leaders declaring that if Iran and its proxies (Syria and the Hezbollah statelet in Lebanon)continues to attack Israel it will be seen as an attack on the entire non-Muslim world and the head of the snake (Iran) will suffer a very serious response.

They could try and they would die....these potential US hostages happen to be heavily armed and well protected...Muslims are good at rounding up unarmed civilians, tieing them up and torturing them and then executing them... I doubt they would seriously want to take the US and coalition military head on....they might, but it would be a serious mistake....they will live longer if they stay in Iran and continue goosesteping down the road shaking their fists and shouting slanderous slogans....they are good at that...

TEHRAN - A top Iranian general is missing in Turkey and Iran is claiming he’s been abducted, while ABC News has reported he may have defected with his family and his knowledge of Iranian secrets.
Iran said yesterday Ali Reza Asghari, a retired Revolutionary Guards general and a former deputy defense minister, disappeared while on a private trip to Turkey, and accused Western intelligence services of possibly kidnapping the official.
“It is likely that Asghari has been abducted by the Western intelligence services,” said Iran’s top police chief, Gen. Esmaeil Ahmadi Moghaddam. He did not elaborate.
ABC News, citing an unnamed analyst with sources in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, reported Asghari has defected and is now in Europe with his entire family, where he is cooperating with the United States.
“This is a fatal blow to Iranian intelligence,” the source told ABC, explaining that Asghari knows sensitive information about Iran’s nuclear and military projects. Iran called dozens of its Revolutionary Guard agents working at embassies and cultural centers in Arab and European countr

As I suspected. Let's hope that Asghari captured GPS coordinates for all of Iran's nuclear R&D sites. Saddam may have been able to relocate his WMDs to Syria, but moving over 3,000 trans-sonic high speed centrifuges poses a significantly greater logistics problem.
Bush may yet be able to salvage his presidential legacy if he can summon the courage to dismantle Iran's nuclear weapons program. Allowing Iran to acquire atomic bombs would go down in history as the single greatest strategic blunder of this new century.
