Diana West notes the American indifference to the Islamization of Europe -- an indifference we will surely come to regret.
Without attracting much attention, representatives of the Belgian political party Vlaams Belang recently visited Washington, D.C. Frank Vanhecke and Filip Dewinter hoped to meet members of Congress; but Congress was in recess. They hoped to engender some understanding of their program to reverse the Islamization of Belgium; but the media were strip-mining the tinsel life and tawdry times of Anna Nicole Smith.Maybe they should have known that Tabloid America doesn't care about the likely transformation of Europe into an Islamic continent, let alone the fate of a French- and Dutch-speaking country of 10 million people. And while Literary America does write books about the transformation -- "While Europe Slept" by Bruce Bawer, "The War for the West" by Tony Blankley, and "America Alone" by Mark Steyn come to mind -- Political America has yet to acknowledge or even notice this colossal, epoch-defining shift now taking place.
Why don't our leaders face it? This may be one of those questions our children will ask some day. But if such natural curiosity isn't expressed until the next generation, the civilizational struggle for Europe will certainly have been lost. Better to question our politicians now. Better to examine the issue today.
Read it all.
The best way to help Europe is to support candidates like Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter. We need to show the pathway to freedom by following it ourselves.
Paul Begala should apologize to Bay Buchanan, Pat and Virgil Goode
We need to fill our local papers online comment sections with quotes from Jihad Watch or others. These are watched by the staff of local pols especially if their Congressman or Senator's name is also mentioned. Know your Senator or Congressman's position on these issues, and quote them on the local webpages with a fact story that illustrates it or shows its wrong.
PC framed with a contrary fact event is the best way to discredit PC. Do this to the local MSM PCer as well. This discredits them.
When they call you an insult, your reply should be
in the following format:
quote insult
quote some fact
You never actually respond to the insult, you leave it there to discredit the person who made it. When someone insults you, others will open their ears to hear your reply.
At this point of maximum listening, you want to feed in your best fact from the most authoritative source. That's what people will take away.
If you respond to the insult any other way, you lose your best chance to get facts into the audience's mind. Memory experts say that you can't remember what you never knew. To get people to remember, you want to put the most important fact in their head at the moment they are must tuned to listen, which is the first words you write or speak in response to an insult. Those words should be a hard fact quotation that proves your point. Then you should just stop, if you can. Anything more tends to be counter-productive.
Another technique is that after a lot of other quotes are added after your reply to quote the same insult again, but with another fact. Many readers just look at the first and last comment. You can also quote someone on your side after a number of other quotes to refresh a particularly good one in that list.
Its important to go into the PC lion's den. But its also important to recognize that its done to accomplish a purpose as Robert points out many times. The point is not to trade insults, but to win over the undecided or those who know we are right, but are not ready to speak out.
Why don't our leaders face it?
_____________
Because our "leaders" are more interested in their own political power; than the very survival of Western Civilization and their own country.
Europe, after WWII, with the exception of Russia; seemed to be seen as that other world somewhere outside of the US. There was a lot of "live, and let live" attitude during the 60's and beyond.
Plus, history IS NOT taught anymore in schools. This is why more than half of the American public can't recognize a modern day "Adolf Hitler" anymore than they can recognize a war that has been declared on them.
Thank our educational indoctrination for the lack of public awareness. Your tax dollars at work my friends.
This goes to my point in a later article on Bernard Lewis: Get the points we learn here out into the light of day. I have also been called a bigot and yet it was by liberal nobody without any knowledge of history or current events who pass themselves off as being 'fair'.
Diana West notes the American indifference to the Islamization of Europe -- an indifference we will surely come to regret.
I don't mean this disrespectfully, but how can we help Europe if they won't help themselves???
It's like trying to help someone with alcoholism who won't admit they have a problem.
Europe can begin the self-help process by ceasing to vote in elitist liberal politicans and stop pretending that America is the bad guy. I don't see either of these happening.....
How can we blame Europe for not recognizing a problem regarding Islam when we fail to recognize it here?
If Europeans want to reverse the Islamization in Europe, they should do the following: 1)restrict immigration, 2) retain their Judeo-Christian heritage, and 3) become pro-life by having more children.
Yes, it is simple as that.
On a demographic level, native Europeans are not having as many children as they once did in the past.
Today, it is a fact that Muslim immigrants are out-breeding native Europeans, resulting in unforseen consequences that will alter the political and religious landscape of Europe.
The pope has attempted to address the topic of falling birthrates in Europe:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070324/ap_on_re_eu/vatican_pope_europe
They can not see because they do not want to see because it is the thing which makes them quake in terror. But they see just the same and so they pull their little blankies up over their heads just to keep the monsters away.
Religious war = Armeggedon = Too Scary = Run Away...Run Away....
believe it or don't

When you use facts and rational arguments, are respectful of others, and are called a bigot, then you win.
Things they say when they fear you are getting
away with telling the truth:
No one listens to you.
No one reads your rants.
(These are some of the most self invalidating comments possible. How could any one sitting at a computer console know which comments in a thread people are reading and which ones not? Or which ones will be read later in the future? Its especially good when 2 or more people write that in the same thread.)
You are a bigot and an idiot. Begala of Virgil Goode.
That was disproven ...
Self conceited put downs of any kind.
etc.
The way to reply to this is
quote their statement
quote facts that are on point to the main issue or disprove some additional comment they make besides their statement no one listens to you.
I always love Jonathans's pro-silly superstition agenda.
His answer to everything is, become as primitive ant uncritical as the Muslim community and everything will be alright.
Full churches on Sunday: pre Darwin, pre industrialisation, pre a humane society.
Pro-life: Dead kids and women, but hey why not, that's Christ for you.
Why not go the whole hog and have the Church of Rome rule the place.
How can we hope to win by being as primitive and backwards as they are. We can't. You'd need to be religious not to be able to see that.
“America's eyes should look to Europe"
Europe is beginning to see the danger because it is in their faces every day, it affects their lives. The masses here in the US cannot see. Our politically correct culture has left us hamstrung, weak, unable to pull the curtain from that dark stage.
Do you think when one watches a lion rip flesh and lick blood from the muzzle it registers in the mind that lions should probably be avoided? I believe human beings have a ‘genetic’ sense of survival. All they need is to see.
On that same note let me say that those on the ‘straight path’ cannot see either, for different reasons. They do not fear the lion and they should.
Guys.. do you remember how nice and wonderful life was for you BEFORE you became aware of islam?
I know there were things like Nazism and Fascism and Stalinism..
But.. I never had the feeling that I stared the devil in the face - UNIL the day that I realized, truly realized, what islam is all about.
Since that day on I see these scraggly beard and those wild flickering eyes.. those raging expressions.. and I am reminded daily that the devil indeed is among us.
Reverse conclusion for an agnostic like myself: If there is a devil then there must also be a God. That does NOT mean I accept any particular religious *version* thereof.
All this means is that if there was only the devil - of which islam is the miving manifestation - then we wouldn't even be here discussing all of these things.
We'd already be in the hell that the followers of Baal/Mahomet are in. It would indeed be too late for us all since there;d be no force opposing the devil but ourselves.
Since we cannot all be divine.. there IS a God.
i hope this is somewhat logical. Imagine I could prove the existence of God by using the greatest evil on Earth to prove it!
I will take my licks if this sounds like blather!
At least I am trying to make sense of it all. While downing a few Friendly Ones!
In the words of the immortal Homer Simpson: Ahhh.. Beer!!
Ian called me pro-silly and superstitious because I am a practicing Roman Catholic.
I am flattered.
"Atheist" Ian believes that having faith in a higher power is superstitious and primitive.
To Ian, posessing religious faith is the equivalent to becoming a "primative"
???
The problem with Ian's atheist argument is that modernity hasn't evolved to the stage where religion, or dependence on God, is no longer needed.
Religion is not just for primatives of the ancient past. Religion is for people of all eras who genuinely desire to establish a relationship with the God of the universe. To a religious person, a life devoid of a relationship with God is a life devoid of meaning and purpose.
Contrary to what Ian believes, religion is here to stay. The majority of people in the world do believe in God and practice some form of religion.
I can tell that Ian doesn't like like my Roman Catholic perspective. Too bad Ian. I don't like your atheist perspective either. Regardless of our backgrounds and religious persepectives, we can still post on this website and share our opinions in a respectful manner.
In the late 1990's, I lived in Europe and visited many European countries. During my time in Europe I witnessed many empty churches on Sundays. In a secularist society, worldly values tend to dominate and crowd out spiritual ones. I see this occurring in some countries of Europe and believe that falling birthrates is one of its consequences.
My ancestors were European and took their Christian faith seriously.
I can trace one of my Dutch ancestors all the way back to the 1300's. He was a courageous man of faith who sacrificed much to participate in the crusades. I discovered that he was quite the Christian warrior on the battle field and helped to defeat a Muslim army in Rhodes. After he left the battlefield, he journeyed to Jerusalem to pray for his wife who was sick back in the Netherlands. He was later knighted by an English King for his courage on the battlefield. I believe that his Christian faith was a very large reason for his participation in the crusades.
I know that if he were alive today in the 21st century, he would be shocked to discover that atheism and secularism are ruining the fabric of European society. Although he would not like to see many mosques being built in the cities of Europe, he would be equally dismayed to discover a Europe civilization that is losing its Christian soul (and population) due to secularism.
Oh and the Beeb is on npr in the background.. they're reporting from the mosks of Marocco.. "the political struggle for islam".
Lord! Have Mercy on us all!
Earlier they had a report on bLiar in Ghana [Yes in Ghana while 15 of his sailors are hostages in iran!!] attending some kind of a former-slavery conference!
I mean it's ALL GOOD! But.. bLiar.. You NEED to go HOME the MINUTE you hear of 15 British sailors held [like former slaves] as illegal captives to islamic former slavers!!
Same for the Beeb.. WHAT are they doing reporting on ANYTHING BUT the situation of these 15 brave hostages??!!!
That is an OUTRAGE!!!
They should be interviewing the families.. the politicans.. what do you intend to do to get them back home safely?
They need to conjure possible rescue / retaliation missions.
ANYTHING else must cease off their radar until these hostages are free!!
They can also draw the paralells with the American Embassy hostages who were illegally detained for 444 days!!
THAT is what the BBC should be concerned with - instead of feeding us softball shyte from Morocco and "democratic islam".
Lord I swear this world is going MAD!!

EXCUSE ME!!! Is America aware of the islamisation of AMERICA??!
I think NOT!!! So let's not talk about Europe when All of America is watchin American Idol!! It's so damn easy to Europe-bash. PC was invented on American campuses after all. That's how it spread to Europe. Germans in particular have had it beaten into their heads to STOP being so damn militaristic and "strident". So now you have what you wanted: Germans running away from being German.. English acting mulitcultural.. French.. well.. acting French.. JUST KIDDING, mes amis! Je plaisantes alors!
America in her understandable desire to finally pacify us volatile Eropeans may now be a "victim of her own success".
CLOCKWORK ORANGE!
Germans for one are trying so hard to be accpted they'll do anything - even if it means letting MoFoes in our churches to celebrate Mahomet's bithday - which is shared by none other than ADOLF HITLER.
April 20, I kid you NOT. Look it up if you think I am lying.
So many weird coincidences and things..
Cheers!
We should get all the nukes out of Europe for safe keeping, or they will end up being pointed across the Atlantic at us. A daunting, probably impossible task - what country would release them? Certainly not Russia, probably the most susceptible to Islamization.
Diane West is right, yet again. The USA and Europe are BOTH being islamicized - but it's not over YET.
The only reason why Europe isn't a Nazi colony is because the USA intervened in WWII. Sure, Europe is full of wine-sipping, socialist dhimmi-crats BUT not everyone in Europe likes it.
American politics gets things done. The USA can STILL have a positive effect on Europe in a way that no other nation can. If Uncle Sam can help, he should.
That Belgian delegation needs our assistance. ANYONE who wants to fight Islam needs our assistance. When it comes to fighting Muzzie fascism our response must be global.

US sacrificed 50,000 lives to save Western Europe from USSR - if not for the deployment in Normandy and the agreement with USSR, Germany and France would share the fate of Lituania. Those 50,000 Americans died from German bullets. Was it worth it?
Failure to do so would collaps Communism by 1960s, and much more pro-American mentality after that. Just compare Chech and French attitudes towards US.
I am not sure an effort ot slow down Islamisaiton of Europe will have any positive effect - estecially if it will include compromises to accomodate European anti-Americanism, anti-Semitism and Socialism. The strategy should be to keep non-Islamised part of the world significant and operational, and then win economic and military competition. You have US, Australia, perhaps Denmark, Poland and Chech Republic - the objective should be to keep these coutries safe from Muslim dominance.
As far as France, Spain, Italy or Norway go - if they want to Islamise, let them do it sooner rather then later, and let the rest of the world to learn form their example. It is the responsibility of their population to protect themselves first of all.
The general patterns of history indicate that large groups of men almost never acknowledge a danger or evil until it is at their throats and the outcome is in doubt.
And it is when they finally recognize the beast that has its fangs on their skin that the RS's of the world are finally recognized as intellectual leaders and their words heeded.
We're dumb. It's just how we are.
And 10 men are dumber than 1.
And 100 men are dumber than 10.
And millions, well ... need I say more. Just look at the last century!
America was amazingly lucky in the genius of its founders.
But the millions of ordinary Americans and the political operators that claim to represent us?
Are we really going to bust out of the patterns of history?
If anybody could it would be us, but somehow, well, I'm figuring we won't notice till mohammedan France has nukes aimed at NY.
Then everybody will realize what a bright guy RS is.
Go figure.
There is an entrenched liberal and political elite in the UK who are in command of public institutions and the media - notably the propaganda machine, the BBC. This elite in no way reflects what ordinary people think. They are so far removed from ordinary public opinion that most people are disinclined to vote for them. The bureaucrats who have their cosy positions in local government are, of course, a bigger problem. Outfits like the MCB and the MAB are, of course, very quick to recognise this and to make inroads with their propaganda into these organisations and the media who generally welcome them with open arms.
I feel sorry for people who don't believe in God. This must be a terrifying time for them. As you say Allahfanculo, the existence of evil so boldly striding through our world is does gives even the doubters evidence to question their doubts.
Another bit of evidence that cannot be ignored is this blindness. How, but through a Supernatural force such as God could we not be able to see what is right in our faces.
Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that we have no control, but God has put forth in the Bible that Satan and His Son would have a final battle over who would rule this world.
Islam is so obviously the gathering of his (Satan's)army.
How else could so many people bow to a behavioral sect or cult that is so foreign to all that man has learned in thousands of years of living together and trying to get it right?
Talk about your fifteen minutes of fame? I think the world had it close to right for about fifteen minutes in the last century.
@Allahfunculo
I could have written your words myself:
"Guys.. do you remember how nice and wonderful life was for you BEFORE you became aware of islam?
I know there were things like Nazism and Fascism and Stalinism..
But.. I never had the feeling that I stared the devil in the face - UNIL the day that I realized, truly realized, what islam is all about."

It's sad. I have so much info on the fiend Muhammad in my head that I can disabuse even the most recalcitrant multi-culturists of their illusions. But then, the look of complete horror on their face. I've woken them up from a dream into a nightmare they didn't know existed.
auntbea:
I feel sorry for people who don't believe in God. This must be a terrifying time for them.
Errr ... no. But what is terrifying is that people in 2007 AD (yes, I realise the irony of having to use the standard protocol for numbering the years!) still believe in a benevolent God, despite all the suffering and death humanity has endured over the last 2000 years. Where is God when a baby is still-born? What sin did that baby commit?
I am not saying that we have no control, but God has put forth in the Bible that Satan and His Son would have a final battle over who would rule this world. Islam is so obviously the gathering of his (Satan's)army.
Are you sure you're not getting confused with Lord of the Rings? Do you really believe that a load of ancient stories written by human beings can somehow represent the thoughts of a mysterious deity who has never provided any evidence for his existence?
