An appeal to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Louise Arbour, from the Association for World Education, the World Union for Progressive Judaism, and the International Humanist and Ethical Union:
Palais des Nations, Geneva, Monday, 16 April 2007 (11:00 a.m.) Appeal to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Louise Arbour To speak out unequivocally to the PA against any “direct and public incitement to commit genocide”(IIIc)Madam, on 30 March 2007 – the last day of the fourth session of the Human Rights Council – Hamas spokesman Dr. Ismail Radwan ended his “prayers to Allah” in a sermon with these words, broadcast on the Palestinian Authority’s TV:
“The Hour [Resurrection] will not come until the Muslims will fight the Jews and the Muslims will kill them, and the rock and the tree will say: ‘Oh, Muslim, servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, kill him!’”And he concluded, to a packed mosque audience, with a call for “Jihad-fighting worshippers”:
“We must remind our Arab and Muslim nation, its leaders and people, its scholars and students, remind them that Palestine and the Al Aqsa mosque will not be liberated through summits nor by international resolutions, but it will be liberated through the rifle. It will not be liberated through negotiations, but through the rifle, since this occupation knows no language but the language of force…O Allah, strengthen Islam and Muslims, and bring victory to your Jihad-fighting worshippers, in Palestine and everywhere… Allah take the oppressor Jews and Americans and their supporters!” (Cf. Madam, we wish to draw your attention again to article III (c) of the Genocide Convention, which states clearly that: “Direct and public incitement to commit genocide” shall be punishable. Since 1989 we have frequently warned the Commission on Human Rights, the Sub-Commission on Human Rights, and for the past decade the HCHR, that the 1988 Charter of Hamas is genocidal.
As noted in written statement E/CN.4/Sub.2/2003/NGO/41, HAMAS is committed to an eternal jihad against “the Jews” – until Allah's victory is implemented. The land of Palestine must be cleansed from their impurity and viciousness. Muslims are obliged to fight and kill the Jews wherever they find them.
The HAMAS Charter’s Article 7, in its conclusion, states: “HAMAS aspires to implement Allah's promise, whatever time it may take. The Prophet, prayer and peace be upon him, said: ‘The Hour [Day of Judgment] will not come until the Muslims will fight the Jews (and kill them); until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: Oh Muslim! Oh Abdullah! [Slave of Allah], there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. This will not apply to the Gharqad tree, which is a Jewish tree.’”
This genocidal call is justified by a hadith, a controversial ‘saying’ attributed to the Prophet Muhammad and described by the authoritative 9th century compilers al-Bukhari and Muslim – that since 1988 has become a commonplace belief among Islamists. On 12 April 2002, the PA-nominated Sheikh Ibrahim Madhi delivered a Friday sermon at Gaza City’s main Sheikh Ijlin Mosque, broadcast live on the PA’s TV. He quoted extensively from this hadith – even including the curious reference to the "Jewish" Gharqad tree, in preaching his specific genocide against “Jews” – and a global Jihad for all humanity.
“We believe in this hadith. We are convinced also that this hadith heralds the spread of Islam and its rule over all the lands (...) ‘from the ocean to the ocean ’.” Sheikh Madhi concluded: “Oh Allah, accept our martyrs in the highest heaven (...) Oh Allah, show the Jews a black day (...) Oh Allah, annihilate the Jews and their supporters (...) Oh Allah, raise the flag of Jihad across the land (...) Oh Allah, forgive our sins.” And, on 13 July 2003, a Palestinian academic, Dr. Hassan Khader, founder of the Al Quds Encyclopaedia, quoted this hadith during a lecture on the PA’s TV. Madam, we ask you, as High Commissioner of Human Rights, to speak out unequivocally to the Palestinian Government and the Organisation of the Islamic Conference against this incitement to commit genocide. It should be made clear that this culture of hate and death – a “direct and public incitement to commit genocide” – is condemned by the OHCHR and the international community.

I will always remember the first time I heard this hadith. I was sitting on an airplane next to a medical student from Patterson NJ. The kid was born in the USA as first generation Syrian American. We were talking about 9/11 and he brought the topic around to US support for Israel. At that point he mentioned the hadith and also that the Jews were planting all those trees in Israel just for the festivities.
Needless to say I thought this kid to be somewhat of a creep at that point. But just to make his point clear I was astonished to have him explain that "we" are going to use "our" oil weapon against the US. HelllOOOO, you are a native born American or did you forget that. Or did he have some other identity?

I don't think they'll withdraw from the UN, but it would be good if the true democracies (USA, UK, Australia, 'old' and 'new' Europe, most South American countries, India, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Israel, South Africa etc) set up an organisation which co-ordinated strategy/action.
1st step is clear guidelines of what defines a true human rights based democracy:
. forcing press outlets to close (Russia, Venezuela),
. punishing people for changing religion/philosophy (e.g. Malaysia or any country with Sharia),
. treating males & females differently in the legal system (Malaysia again or any country with Sharia) etc
would all be grounds for non-admittance/expulsion.
2nd step is to declare Sharia equivalent to Apartheid because of the discrimination and violence inherent in the system. Impose sanctions on any country where Sharia exists:
. Restrict technology transfers,
. stop tourism to/from them,
. don't allow entry of students from that country,
. don't allow temporary or permanent immigration from those countries unless it is clear that the individual has given up their own personal pursuit of political Islam/Jihad/Sharia (deport them if it turns out they were lying).
. Don't trade with those countries or if you do only under our terms (similar to during the Cold War against the Soviets), companies or individuals conducting unauthorised breaching of any such sanctins should be charged and imprisoned with treason.
While the PA needs to be addressed, the greater worry in my opinion is all those countries like Malaysia which seemed to be heading down the Western path during the Cold War but which are now moving down the Islamic Sharia path. To me, this is as great a threat to our democracies as the takeover of governments by communists was during the Cold War, and yet our governments take no action.
I'm pretty sure that if Malaysia faced a total ban on exports and imports they'd start winding Sharia back very quickly. China and others may publicly bleat about interfering in internal affairs but privately they know we'd be doing the ethnic chinese in South East Asia a favour.
We need to start asking our Govt representatives to formulate strategies to fight back around the world economically, socially, intellectually, not just militarily.
If the UN is unwilling to condemn the Hamas Charter for Genocide.. The we should join in the love fest with them. Change our Constitution to include the Killing of Muslims where ever we find them. We will not waver from this until our Constitutional Goals are met.

It's probably not in the history books so people forget that the Arab nationalists were the ONLY non-Communist regimes to side with Russia during the Cold War. They didn't feel threatened by Russia then, and they don't now.
Our "allies" in that time were those who were threatened by the atheist dictates of the USSR. Now that threat is gone and all Muslims can show their true colors.
The threat has probably been there since the end of WW1, but we had more immediate worries and so we let it slide. Now the dictates of a global village mean we must all play nice.

I doubt if this appeal would be taken seriously by UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, or anyone in the UN for that matter.
The whole world it seems is turning against Israel. The National Union of Journalists in Britain has voted to boycott all Israeli goods for “aggression” in Palestinian territories.
So now it is official what we have known for ages: British press is against the state of Israel, favours the PA and its Hamas led government and therefore cannot be trusted as being neutral.
The said appeal to Louise Arbour is probably in the bin.
The reason such a large majority of the Western public, MSM, governments, etc., remain convinced that the Muslims are the blue ribbon victims is because their national leaders have not joined the imamoid chorus of death-and-destruction-to-all speak. They are pseudo-secular figures who can scoff at or ignore the rantings of the religious class. The Soviets had no such aparatus and so the jig was up from day one.
