Australia: Mufti told to quit or leave

Anti-dhimmitude from the Howard government. "Mufti told to quit or leave,' by Richard Kerbaj in The Australian, with thanks to Sr. Soph:

THE Howard Government has intensified its pressure on Australia's most senior Islamic spiritual leader, Taj Din al-Hilali, demanding he consider leaving the country and step down from his position as mufti.

Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews and Foreign Minister Alexander Downer yesterday expressed outrage at Sheik Hilali's weekend visit to Tehran, during which he called on the Islamic world to unite behind the radical Iranian regime.

Muslim leaders from around Australia attacked the Egyptian-born cleric for becoming an "ongoing problem".

And Australian Federal Police are examining whether to involve state-based counter-terrorism agencies in their investigation of allegations that Sheik Hilali diverted Australian-raised charity funds to terrorism supporters in Lebanon last year.

The Australian revealed yesterday that Sheik Hilali had been quoted in the Iranian media as calling on Muslims worldwide to serve in Iran's "trenches" and not "kneel" to its enemies. It was the latest in a series of controversies that have dogged the mufti.

"The Australian community has lost patience with the sheik," Mr Andrews said.

"The sheik needs to say if he wishes to continue as a citizen of Australia or reside in an alternate country."

Seems Australia is at the front of recognizing Islam for what it is.

...just pick him up, put him in cuffs, fly him to a Muslim country and drop him off....

Hrrrmmmm

I would like to read

Australia: Mufti told to quit and,/b> leave

Austrailia, the only country who is getting it.

Im sure he utter he has quit will turn away people from listening to him ,It was a tiny minority anyway wasn't it?

I agree, Australia is the country most aware of the cancer of islam. Still, I would like to see them deport the mufti, not ask him to consider leaving !
His treasonous acts and words surely justify deportation.

We have our own politicians that speak the truth

‘Vito! Vito! Vito!’ the crowd chanted at a Ground Zero rally on a hazy Saturday afternoon in the heart of New York City. This was the chorus of a new movement supporting a candidate that stands alone. A candidate who is unapologetically against the rising tide of Islamic anti-Americanism.

"demanding he consider leaving the country"

Not exactly Churchillian, but better than most of what passes for backbone in the West these days.

Old Man Hilali is acting like John Gotti. I said acting like, John Gotti was a much nicer person and less dangerous. I do not want to upset my Italian friends, this is for illustrative purposes only. Hilali is bringing too much attention to himself and therefor too much attention to the organization.

He should act like Carlo Gambino, keep a low profile, don't draw attention to yourself. John Gotti died in prison; Carlo Gambino died at home in his bed. Hilali should stay, he is the best spokesman Islam ever had.

Preferably without landing the plane. CIA style.

Good move... but next time don't give the guy an option. Free choices are not for muslims anyway.
But this is defininately the way to go. Kudos to Australia and may you be held up as the example for the rest of Western Civilization.

Godspeed.

Looks like John Howard knows that he was a joint winner of our anti-Dhimmi award last year, and is now aggressively campaigning to win it solo this year.

Good going, mate!

This is a thread about knife fighting in the UK and children being unsafe. I said that we were afraid to say the reason, immigration.

I have reposted the posts I made to that thread here:

I had a couple posts on other threads, where I did say we should draft 2 million men and if Iran didn't become more forthcoming, to invade and then surround Pakistan and make it denuke. Perhaps, the Guardian felt I insulted their allies.

I don't like Hilaly. I want him gone.

True, Hilaly harms his cause by calling to much attention to it. And he does so here in Sydney, John Howard's home town, where complaints about the latest scandal involving the mad Mufti reach the Prime Minister's ears immediately, a factor few people note as important, though Australian politics are often very local.

But Hilaly sets a bad example by getting away with it. That influences kids.

A (highly liberal) teacher friend right here in Sydney told me years ago (before 11 September, 2001) that it was no use trying to tell his kids anything about Hitler, World War II or the Holocaust, and he wasn't going to try (any more). (By the way: don't pick on the British. I suspect individual teachers have been making decisions like this for a long time in many countries, without telling anybody but close friends that they've given up.)

The kids were Muslim, and they admired Hitler because he was a mighty Jew-killer. The kids get it from home, that is from their Muslim families and culture, and their community backs them up (and has no problem lying to infidels about this and anything else), and that's that. With Sheikh Taj El-Din Hamid Hilaly to tell them what was right - and worse, to give them "hints" to the right attitudes - they didn't need any non-Muslim teacher to tell them their parents and Allah and "everyone" was wrong. Those kids are completely unteachable, or rather they are all too teachable, but only in accordance with their family, community and religious traditions.

Italian Fascists in Australia weren't anything like this. (For one thing, they didn't have the staying power, and for another Italian kids would marry anyone, so they blended into Australia and let the old country's political drivel go, to our mutual benefit.)

This new, different, much more stubborn threat is really bad.

And this is in Australia, where we get an unrepresentative sample of good and moderate Muslims. By global standards - even by comparatively moderate Muslim Indonesian standards - Sheikh Hilaly really is a moderate.

But he's not the kind of moderate I want in Australian, influencing kids here. Not in my town.

WAY TO GO, AUSSIES.

They can censor, but the good news is that the younger generation, the ones who watched 9/11 and 7/7 while sitting in diapers in front of the TV, are more likely to see contemporary history for what it is.

I for one have an entire high school baseball team ready to fight. They realize full well that we adults are now deep into the process of squandering their future.

Me, I'm a big believer in walking up to Moslems and telling them, nose-to-nose that they're unwelcome, and that in their arrogance they have no inkling of the fight to come.

2nd Amendment. Freedom of speech.

One thing to never, ever, forget about Moslems. Well, two things, actually:

1) All Moslems are insane.

2) All Moslems are pussies.

Explosive combo, but something to work with.

Anybody got any film of Cronulla? It's a fun watch.

"The sheik needs to say if he wishes to continue as a citizen of Australia or reside in an alternate country."

I think he already made himself clear. What more does he need to say?

"And Australian Federal Police are examining whether to involve state-based counter-terrorism agencies in their investigation of allegations that Sheik Hilali diverted Australian-raised charity funds to terrorism supporters in Lebanon last year."

... from the article above.

What's delaying things here, why haven't charges been laid yet? Why isn't cat-meat in gaol already?

Just remember it was LABOR who let Hilali into the country. LABOR, you know, the guys who want to be the federal government? It was Labor Immigration Minister in the 1980s who said NO to Hilali when he applied for asylum, but he was OVERRULED by Paul Keating. Then when Hilali applied for citizenship, it was refused by Immigration, but guess what? Paul Keating OVERRULED again. He did it because he wanted the Muslim vote. Remember his seat? Bankstown!

Just remember all this history, when you see what Hilali will say leading up to election day sometime around the end of the year. And remember, that LABOR could once again let in MORE Hilalis to keep the Muslim vote in place.

Good to hear. Its always a question though whether the adults know that, and if they are liberals whether its intentional.

i grew up in bankstown.. i moved out of the area as soon as i turned 18...

rudd, the new labor leader, APPEARS to have a handle on this goose as well as on the threat of terrorism and other related issues. it looks like he'll get in.. i suspect though, that he isn't going to have the same backbone as little johnny has.. which isn't enough as it is.. still, muslims have caused so much mayhem and violence here (brutal rape is the biggy, but drug dealing, protection, the whole bit) with total impunity, for so long, that the distrust and disdain for these people, along with a new surge of aussie pride amongst teenagers (last years "big day out" festival was an eye opener.. every second kid had a variation of the southern cross tattooed on them)it gives me hope.

let me clarify the broad/sweeping phrase
"muslims have caused so much mayhem and violence here (brutal rape is the biggy, but drug dealing, protection, the whole bit) with total impunity, for so long"...

in reading articles related to this sight, articles, and local news stories, a lot of the guys are called "mohammed" or one of the common variations of this.. i ASSUME theyre muslims.

by the whole bit, i mean everything from the drive by shootings on police stations a few years ago to pack rapes targeting anglo saxon descent women, to the latest posting on you tube, all in rap, by sydney highscool students of lebanese muslim descent, lauding these feats of heroism and saying they want to grow up to be just like them..

it is good to be telling a mufi something, rather than the usual other way around...
