Fitzgerald: Kavakci, Khomeini, Shapiro

The Imam Yusuf Kavakci, a supporter of Khomeini, recently gave an invocation in the Texas State Senate at the invitation of Senator Florence Shapiro, the Senate's senior Jewish member. And in her self-satisfaction and preening about her own magnificent display of "tolerance," a fool.

A great admirer of Ayatollah Khomeini, is Imam Yusuf Kavakci. He was permitted, he was allowed, he was even encouraged, by various people, including "Jewish leader" Florence Shapiro, to pray in the State Senate. But she and others were apparently too incurious to find out just a little more about this Kavakci and about Islam, and about the Khomeini he so admires.

I'll help her out. Here's a speech by Khomeini, given early (in 1942) and from whose principles, ideas, ideals, Khomeini never wavered in the slightest:

Islam is Not a Religion of Pacifists Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, 1942

"Islam’s jihad is a struggle against idolatry, sexual deviation, plunder, repression, and cruelty. The war waged by [non-Islamic] conquerors, however, aims at promoting lust and animal pleasures. They care not if whole countries are wiped out and many families left homeless. But those who study jihad will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world. All the countries conquered by Islam or to be conquered in the future will be marked for everlasting salvation. For they shall live under [God’s law]. ...

Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those [who say this] are witless. Islam says: Kill all the unbelievers just as they would kill you all! Does that mean that Muslim should sit back until they are devoured by [the unbelievers]? Islam says: Kill the [the non-Muslims], put them to the sword and scatter [their armies]. Does this mean sitting back until [non-Muslims] overcome us? Islam says: Kill in the service of Allah those who may want to kill you! Does this mean that we should surrender [to the enemy]? Islam says: Whatever good there is exists thanks to the sword and in the shadow of the sword! People cannot be made obedient except with the sword! The sword is the key to paradise, which can be opened only for holy warriors!

There are hundreds of other [Koranic] psalms and hadiths [sayings of the prophet] urging Muslims to value war and to fight. Does all that mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging war? I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim."

Florence Shapiro was unaware of what Khomeini, so admired by Kavakci, was all about. But she had a duty to find out. She had a duty to find out a lot more about Islam, about "war is deception" as a guiding principle, about the instruments of Jihad, about taqiyya, about the deliberate attempt to make Islam "seem" (only "seem") in the eyes of Infidels to fit in, at this point, with the legal and political institutions of the United States, while they are still too weak to openly reveal their full agenda -- though some of the hotheaded truth-tellers nicely insist on doing so, which is a good thing for Infidels. What could be better than to have this Imam manage to appear to address the Texas Legislature? Apparently Florence Shapiro and others who supported this terrible and very damaging act had no idea of what the whole thing was about, and probably have never read, or re-read with comprehension, the Qur'an, the Hadith, the Sira. Yet these people, who are used again and again, become indignant when attacked for their useful idiocy.

Such people, the many Florence-shapiros of this world, seem to believe in their sweet, trusting, not-very-intelligent way that of course "all religions mean the same thing" (they don't), and "we are all essentially the same" (we aren't), and Islam is essentially a fine religion (it isn't). And she has been told that Muslims are "fine upstanding citizens," and those she has heard of are not a burden on the state (the usual litany about all those "engineers" and "professors" -- engineers such as "Mike" Hawash? Professors such as Sami al-Arian?). And she may know about the sheer wonderful middle-classness of America's Muslims (yes, we are repeatedly told, the situation is so very different, so very much better, than in Europe, where the Europeans are responsible for the problem because they "won't allow" Muslims to "integrate" the way they do so beautifully here, with our Big Tent and Warm Hearts).

Those who sponsored this speaker were apparently unaware of how Islam, the tenets of Islam, the teachings of Islam, flatly contradict every single principle of Western, and especially American, democracy. It is a faith that abhors the individual; a collective faith, a faith that encourages mental and every other kind of submission, a collective submission, and duties determined by the collective. It does not allow for freedom of conscience: you cannot get out of the Army of Islam. It does not allow for freedom of speech: you must say nothing, ever, critical of Muhammad as a figure, or of Islam. It does not allow for equal treatment of women. It does not allow for equal treatment of non-Muslims, and is against true pluralism, though in lands traditionally ruled by Shari'a or reasonable facsimiles thereof, non-Muslims over the centuries were permitted to survive, but required to live as dhimmis, a permanent status of humiliation (as illustrated, for example, in the required manner of payment of the Jizyah), degradation, and physical insecurity.

It is idiotic to utter phrases about how Muslims are "fine middle-class people who pay their taxes." Even if it were true (and it is a grossly inaccurate remark) what is the relevance of a 1040 to the real attitudes toward Infidels and toward the American system? Islam flatly contradicts every principle of the American Republic. This is not revealed on any 1040.

Yet Florence Shapiro needn't be too embarrassed. Even though Khomeini wrote many things in the same vein, all of them available before he came to power, she shouldn't be too embarrassed. After all, neither Jimmy Carter, nor his "National Security Adviser" Zbigniew Brzezinski, nor his "Iran expert" Gary Sick, apparently had read a word of Khomeini or knew a thing about him, except that he was a "fellow man of faith" (as Carter uriah-heepishly addressed him in his own personal letter, one Pious and Good Man of Faith to another -- Christian or Muslim, what does it matter?). So Florence Shapiro is really no more offending, and possibly more justified in her complete ignorance than were Carter and Sick and Brzezinski.

Oh, there's plenty of blame to go around for this spectacle of an Khomeini-admiring imam man reciting from the Qur'an before the Texas Legislature. Plenty of ignorance, plenty of moral preening. But it should be exposed and mocked. Such negligence, by those who have a duty to know better, is a danger to Western societies and countries. Not imaginary. Real. Present.

She never wants to know. That's too much information for her. Micheal Savage says lots of our politicians are hopped up on prescription medications, making them incapable of clear thought. Add the constant frenzy they are addicted to with cell phones, glad handing constituents, driving to pointless meetings, watching ADD oriented TV news. Florence doesn't know what to think. She's in Plato's cave looking at flickering shadows. That give her no intelligent course of action. So she invites an Imam during the holy season for Christians and Jews.

I bet Flo also didn't inform herself that one of the first acts of Khomeini was to lower the marriageable age of girls to 9.

In shapiro's apology she writes:

"The Freedom and Justice Foundation contacted me with the request for Dr. Kavakci to follow the protocol set two years ago during their legislative day, when Imam Moujahed Bakhach of the Islamic Association of Tarrant County opened the Texas House with a blessing. Having worked with Dr. Kavakci on legislation, and seeing his resume and extensive inter-faith experience, I honored his request."

Kavakci opened by introducing what he would do: "We will pray by reading from first chapter, opening chapter, Al-Fãtehah, from holy Quran, followed by recitation, traditional way of recitation of text from holy Quran, with an addition."

Worked on legislation? Dr. Kavakci work on legislation? What kind of legislation!?

Hello! Anybody listening??? If this doesn't shake you up, nothing will!

This IS an act of war even if shots have not been fired!

Wake up America!

"Islam’s jihad is a struggle against idolatry, sexual deviation, plunder, repression, and cruelty. The war waged by [non-Islamic] conquerors, however, aims at promoting lust and animal pleasures...."
From the article above, quoting Khomeini

Sexual deviancy?

"A man can have sexual pleasure from a child as young as a baby. However, he should not penetrate vaginally, but sodomising the child is acceptable. If a man does penetrate and damage the child then, he should be responsible for her subsistence all her life. This girl will not count as one of his four permanent wives and the man will not be eligible to marry the girl's sister... It is better for a girl to marry at such a time when she would begin menstruation at her husband's house, rather than her father's home. Any father marrying his daughter so young will have a permanent place in heaven. [Khomeini, in Tahrirolvasyleh, fourth edition]

Animal pleasures?

"A man can have sex with animals such as sheep, cows, camels and so on. However, he should kill the animal after he has his orgasm. He should not sell the meat to the people in his own village, but selling the meat to a neighbouring village is reasonable. [Tahrirolvasyleh]

"If one commits the act of sodomy with a cow, a ewe, or a camel, their urine and their excrement become impure and even their milk may no longer be consumed. The animal must then be killed as quickly as possible and burned." ["The Sayings of Ayatollah Khomeini, Political, Philosophical, Social and Religious"]

And this BEAST had the gall to suggest that the West was perverted? What a colossal incomprehensible hypocrite!

Concerned Citizen,

Colossal hypocracy, yes, but quite comprehensible. See discussion of islamic projection on today's JW Frontpage Symposium thread.

"There are hundreds of other [Koranic] psalms and hadiths [sayings of the prophet] urging Muslims to value war and to fight. Does all that mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging war? I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim."

Hey Florence - better wear your raincoat.

Florence Shapiro "means peace" about as effectively as Islam "means peace".

The shear ignorance is astounding! This is a person who should atleast have some kind of a clue as to the enemy we are at war with. My guess is that the political donations of this imam nead to be investigated in order to find out why this Texas state legislator has such a high opinion of him. What do you want to bet that by an amazing coincidence this imam or his mosque donated to her campaign?

Well now that the Texas state legislature was humiliated for the dhimmi's they are, they can now start paying their jizya to their muslim master and imam.

His giving the "blessing" apparently gives allah the sign that he is in charge in the affairs of the government of Texas. (camel, nose, tent)
Stupid,stupid politicians.

Imam Yusuf Kavakci: "In the name of god (not God), allah, the beneficent, the merciful. All praise is for allah (only), our lord (islam's lord), the lord of the worlds (all infidel nations, you will see), the compassionate, the merciful, master of the day of judgments (we will hasten that for you). Oh, god, allah, you alone we worship, and you alone we call on for help (I am here, we are winning). Oh, allah, guide us (you infidels) to the straight path (islam), the path of those whom you have favored (Muslims), not of those who have earned your wrath (Jews) or of those who have lost the way (Christians). (the room is full of those) Our lord, have mercy on us (muslims) from yourself and guide us (muslims) in our (jihadi) efforts, (islamification) strivings, and (subjugation) works"

(We are in your midst and you can't even conceive what we are doing or have the slightest notion what I just said. You will submit).

Infidel33,

Thanks for the redirect. I skipped that article because of its length, but what a treasure trove it is:

"Over the past two centuries, it has been a common phenomenon among members of Western cultural, academic and journalistic elites, and important elements of political elites, to feed their own narcissism by seeing themselves as superior in essential ways to the hoi polloi of their own societies. Significant numbers within all these elites have responded to every totalitarian threat - whether fascist/Nazi, Communist, or Islamist - by comprehending the threat with some variation of the response described above; that is, rationalizing it and construing segments of their own society as the problem, either because those elements have brought about and are failing to appease the threatening party or they are standing in the way of reasonable social/political changes demanded by the threatening party. The alienation of these elites from much of their own society makes them all the more predisposed to dealing with the external danger in such a manner. " Kenneth Levin

As a Texan, I almost vomited when I heard of the imam's prayer at the Texas Senate. It should be noted here that only one Texas Senator refused to listen to the imam's prayer, and walked out before it was given. His name is Sen. Dan Patrick of Houston...kudo's for your walk out Sen Patrick.
Sen. Dhimmi...I mean Shapiro, is beginning to feel the heat of her incredibly stupid endorsement, and has begun issuing "apologies" of sorts...should be interesting to see how she responds Monday when Hannity skewers her ineptitude on his program.

This speech of Khomeini's should be read along with the insightful dialogue on "Jews as Apes and Pigs" in Frontpage, posted in JihadWatch today.

Irrationality, projection, grinding inferiority that rises into bloodlust to kill infidel demons, who represent everything that is evil and hateful. All sanctioned and supported by Islamic scripture and the arbitrary will of Allah that innoculates Muslim psyches against reason and washes away of any guilt or other human misgivings, leaving believers free to kill and feel good about it, happy and confident of promised heavenly rewards.

Off Topic but of some importance to me. After taking a good look at the extraordinary recent events in Italy, I completely withdraw my previous views about the unlikelihood of current Prime Minister Prodi being a former or current KGB "asset". I am not certain of anything any more, and his behaviour might just be that of an ordinary corrupt politician in a stew, but at least he and his government are doing nothing to prove otherwise. If Prodi were a covert Communist agent, he would not act differently from the way he has been acting in the last couple of years, although I still think that his behaviour is best explained by having made a deal with the hard left a couple of years ago.

No! no! no! wild ass guess's will do to protect the blessing of liberty

The Words Of Samuel Adams:

"The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an ever lasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men."

Kavakci? That's a familiar name--to me, from my history.

Kavakci, or spelled alternatively Kaukji or Qaukji (Google-haters all, just like [K|Q|G]a[d|dd|dh]a[f|ff][i|y|iy|iyy]), was the Lebanese Arab leader who presided over the attack of the nascent state of Israel in 1948. He was forced to run back to Lebanon following his defeat.

I don't know if there's a relation between the two Kavakci's, it could be a common name, but it wouldn't be surprising if there was.

Polite? Why? Does she require us to smile meekly and politely, as our heads are being sawed off for the camera in the name of the devil, allah?

Will shapiro be offended if we can't smile in these circumstances?

On that inglorious day in Texas history, I fortuitously received a renewal letter from the Texas Republican Party requesting that I specify my pledge for 2007.

I took the occasion to let my credit card speak for me.

I returned the letter on their dime (postage pre-paid), pledge nothing, and wrote my personal thanks to Shapiro for making my pledge decision so crystal clear.

I encourage others to do likewise until she steps down from the Texas Senate.

Nothing less is acceptable to me.

I wish I could have been there to hand both of them a ham sandwich (on rye, I'm Jewish)!!
BTW-Happy Easter to ALL!

We have similar problems in the UK with our JackAss politicians.

interestinconundrum,

I wrote. I was polite. I asked her to step down from her senate seat.

I encourage every Texan, and non-Texan, to do the same.

Thank you Hugh...

Florence Shapiro spits on the roughly quarter million Persian Jews who live every where but in Iran and the 25,000 or so who remain there in a state of dhimmitude.
