Balkan Muslim Gratitude

Julia Gorin writes about the larger implications of the Fort Dix Jihad case at FrontPage:

Since 1999, I have been screaming from the rooftops both about the injustice and hoax of our Balkans intervention, and about the security risk posed to us by it — warning that it would come back to bite us. Because when you don’t stop to figure out the historical context of a conflict that will tell you who the actual aggressor is; when you don’t corroborate horror stories by the complainant; when you don’t try to figure out which belligerent happens to also be hostile to your own society; and you instead go full throttle for a cheap moral victory and a Pulitzer, the bad guys will get you next.

Par for the course.

Read it all.

..stop the Jizyah, not one more dime....

As I wrote, just prior to the Bosnia and Kosovo conflict, we were supporting wrong side.

Hezbollah builds a Western base:
From inside South America’s Tri-border area, Iran-linked militia targets U.S.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17874369/

hey this is Clinton's war, and still going on. when this was happening, l thought why is the US involved this is a European conflict let them clean it up. but of course the Europeans (gov't) have proven again they cannot even clean up their own backyard. l remember Mrs Dole with the tissues along with Mrs.Clinton. full support from the Dems, as this was okay when the Democrats wanted to bomb "Christians".
they dont fight back like those head hunting islamists.

oh yeah...and wonder boy Clinton bombed without Congressional approval....

My personal apology to the Serbs.

No matter that I had nothing direct to do with it. I just can't get over the fact that I believed the MSM and ended up rooting for the wrong side.

Just one problem with Gorin's account of "Balkan blowback": at least three of the four Albanians aren't from Kosova. The three Duka brothers are from Debar, Macedonia, and as has been repeatedly mentioned in the press yesterday, they have been in the US (illegally) for more than two decades. They were radicalized right here in the US, and not at the local Albanian mosque, but at one dominated by Pakistanis and Arabs.

And while not much detail has been released about the other ethnic Albanian involved, Agron Abdullahu, most media outlets have got it wrong when they claim that "authorities say he was a sniper in Kosovo". In fact, the indictment doesn't say that; what it does say is that the other plotters "believed" he was a sniper. At this point, there's no evidence that he was Kosovar, or that he's even been to Kosova, let alone was a sniper there.

But Gorin (along with Srdja Trifkovic) can't let the facts get in the way of grinding the axes of their 600 year old Serbian grievances.

oh yeah...and wonder boy Clinton bombed without Congressional approval....

REPLY: Don't ya know, it's always different when you are a democrat! The party of compassion, and love, and a helping hand, at the risk of selling out your own country!

The failure to understand the significance of Izetbegovic's published intention to bring back the Shari'a to the Balkans, and how such a threat would resonate in the minds of non-Muslims but especially of the Serbs, and the moral preening that went on about the terrible Serbs and the splendid inoffensive Muslims (the pictures of Serbian atrocities are all over; the pictures of Muslim atrocities known only to a small circle of Serbs and sympathizers with them), until everyone was convinced that the Serbs did not have a case, that Milosevich represented all the Serbs (he did not; he was a temporary sport, and would not have been possible without the failure of the West to recognize, and be sympathetic to, Serbian fears, based on centuries of oppression from Muslim Ottoman masters -- see Ivo Andric's doctoral thesis, or find out, if you do not know, what the word "devshirme" means, and don't believe Bernard Lewis when he describes it as a means -- envied by Muslim parents -- for Christian children to gain advancement in Ottoman society).

Those who are so proud of their role in the NATO (i.e., American) bombing of Serbia should think again. They should think carefully about what has happened in Bosnia and Kosovo in the years since the Serbs were smashed into submission (see the Dayton Accords), and the southeast of Europe made safe not only for Muslim states, but for the continued islamization of the area, with Arabs and Muslims, and Saudi money, having established a real beachhead in the area for the "real Islam" from which it has not been possible to dislodge them, and even suave Paddy Ashdown, he who loves to hear his own mellifluous voice, who is the local viceroy for the West, may eventually begin to realize what is going on. But it may already be too late --- and it is certainly too late for tens of thousands of Serbs, and for hundreds of ancient Serbian monasteries and churches.

I have just seen your webpage, and from my deepest heart I thank you and salute you for your courage to say that 'so hard to say' words. Its honesty realy moved me, and I would like if some of local Serbian newspaper publish it (with your permition). Julia Gorin and other jews like her is a only hope that we can fulfill those recently publish headline 'jihad, we are all in it' instead, even on this website proclaimed by some persons 'antiserbdom, we are all in it' (persona to whom I point will reckognize herself).

Meantime to Hugh and all who may concern. Here is a intereting story taken from croatian site: http://www.vecernji.hr/newsroom/news/bih/796095/index.do
and published one week ago.In its own microcosm its shows who are fighting whom, and who are supporting antijihad struggle of us army in Iraq. Since Iam unawared of any english translation, I translate it for jw public from croatian.

Because of fighting of bosnian deminers (or defusers-I dont know proper english noun) in Iraq, Americans reacted.

The multiculturalism of 36 members of bosnian special unit for demining in Iraq is seriously damaged because of act of one of its commanders few months ago, so that even americans must reacted.
By testimony of one member of special unit which was deployed near Iraqy city of Al Divania south of Bagdad, incident happened when soldiers worked more than a two hours on temperature higher than 40 Celsius.
American regulations, at least by saying of our source which indentity we cannot disclouse, strictly allow that in high air temperature deminer may work only 10 minutes maximally. After that 10 min. deminer goes to pause for 50 minites before taking shift again.
But commander of the unit, who happens to be a bosnian muslim, ordered the continous work for more than two hours.Sweat bite the eyes, but we cannot stop without a command. But when american commanders of american unit, which was in charge over our unit, found that we were at work for more than a two hours, they get enraged and ordered immidiate withdrawal from the minefield. Since it was bosnian muslim commander who ordered continous two hour work, and most of deminers were Serbs, incident immidiatly turn into nationalistic strife.
The rest of croatian article deals with bosnian army officials with state of denial and assurances that muslims, Serbs and Croats all work together in 'peace and harmony'
Such peace. Some harmony.

This, "not from Kosovo, but from Macedonia" maneuver is ridiculous for anyone versed in Balkans demographics. They are the same people, same families, land, language and culture. They are known as "Shiptars" - common name for Albanians in former Yugoslavia. They even started terrorist rebellion in Macedonia in 2000-2001. obviously in hope to repeat Kosovo scenario year before. This is the same.

@ZionistYoungster - long live Israel!

Hugh, they will never understand. Their hubris simply won't let them. They have a mindset of yesteryear NKVD officials who started to believe the propaganda on how they are never wrong and so when they do happen to arrest wrong people they keep them on any trumped-up charge so that the myth of their infailability is preserved even if this means that death of the poor soul that fell into their hands.

Firstly:
I have to admit that Youngerzionist isn't alone - I believed the MSM too and viewed the Serbs as unprovoked agressors. I still think much of what they did was unjustified but I now understand that atrocities were being carried out by both sides - something which the MSM conspicuously failed to advise us of throughout that conflict.
Since 9/11 I've learnt to use the net in conjunction with the MSM to see through the veil of half-truths we're fed with our morning paper and TV news and woken to how we're getting a sanitised and misleading picture of Jihadist activity around the world.

Secondly:
I found this quote in the article quite disturbing:
"While authorities are glad to have arrested them, the individuals are “hardly hard core terrorists,” one law enforcement source said.

Another source said that while the allegations are “troubling,” they are “not the type that made the hair on the back of your neck stand up.”"
I hope a 'law enforcement source' didn't really say that but if they did then I'd expect the military brass have had some strong words with the police chief, or made moves to use the military tribunals for those involved in attacks on any US military base.

Lazare, Plava Legijo...Contact me at nazgulbg@hotmail.com

Plava Legija,

When I hear people say things about Israel that are completely out of whack with what I (lifelong citizen) know, I just ask myself, "Where the blazes did they get those crazy notions?!" But I know the answer: the MSM. The Left-leaning Western TreasonMedia. So when I recall how I believed the same MSM about what was going on in the Balkans in 1992-5, I'm just overcome with shame. Just shameful that I believed those lying liars. And sided with those who are, no matter how far they are from Israel, Israel's sworn enemies. Insane. Simply insane. Amazing how people can assume such irrational positions all because of having the wrong information.

I give you my permission to publish it.

LazarOfSerbia,

G-d give victory to all those who resist Islamic imperialism!

News and commentary about Serbia and the Balkans from the Christian Serb point of view. Highly recommended.

veil416: I found this quote in the article quite disturbing:
"While authorities are glad to have arrested them, the individuals are “hardly hard core terrorists,” one law enforcement source said.

That's disturbing to me too. It points to the fact that we have some unknown number of people, with no connection to any known terrorist organization beyond their local imam, who may some day, without warning, decide to commit an act of jihad on US soil

Gentlemen,

The proper name of the province is KOSOVO, not "Kosova" - as the poster Scanderbeg and Albanian invaders insist on calling it.

The name derives from Serbian “kos” – ( blackbird in English) and has been in use ages before the first Albanian trespasser set his foot on that ancient Serbian soil.
It is Kosovo in English, French, German, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Danish, Italian, Greek and, of course, Serbo-Croatian. In fact, only Albanians and those who wish Kosovo torn away from Serbia call it Kosova.
Altering a name of a place is an important part of a conquest - a powerful symbolic statement – very much like planting your banner over a conquered capitol and building a mosque over an erased church. Although it does seem that Kosovo will be ripped from Serbia and given to Albanians, those who welcome that historical crime should wait with renaming the place - at least until the crime is completed and sanctified by the “international community”.
After all, the name Constantinople was dropped in favour of Istanbul long after it fell to the Turks.

Correct!

It did not stop at Bosnia and Kosovo. It will not stop until somebody uses force to stop it. History has proven that. When has muslim aggression ever been stopped by diplomacy or land exchanges? Look back over 1400 years and you will see none.

So lets support the Serbs. Ask yourself what is best for non-muslims...

Notice that the Duka brothers have now disappeared from all discourse on this subject. Why?

Because they were born of Albanian parents in MONTENEGRO and arrived in the United States illegally when they were 1,4 and 6 years old.

I guess is that's good old jihadist training they got at Montenegrin preschool, no?

No, these guys are home grown. But you won't find any mention of the error in blaming Albania for this anywhere on any of the sites that have smeared Albania with the result.

What still needs to be proved -- and nobody can yet establish anything of the kind -- is that any Albanian training WHATSOEVER had anything to do with Abdullah being a part of this.

Likely, all this jihad stuff on the part of the four "Albanians" is pure USA born and bred, which is actually much MORE of a problem for us.

All that remains to be seen, but so does an Albanian "jihad connection" which certainly no one has established.

But that hasn't stopped anybody on the Serb side from a conviction. All over the internet from Nebojsa Malic at antiwar.com to those who write for this website or FPM from crucifying Albania for political purposes for what is very likely a born-in-the-USA terror plot.

But hey, it's the stuff of magic (black) for the Serbs, just as Talovic (and his family) were convicted of jihad in the Salt Lake City Cho-style meltdown of a disturbed teenager -- an allegation that months later shows now indication whatsoever of being true.

It will not matter that the entire Albanian population in this country condemns the plot. And it will not matter that the Duka brothers cannot remember ever living in Montenegro. Because the conviction of Albania in this case, as with Bosnia in Talovic's case, is already a done thing.

It is unlikely, however, that the Europeans will buy so quickly what the Americans can't wait to put in the history books, ably assisted by the Serb propaganda machine in America, spread out as they are (quite cleverly, actually) from the Far Left to the Far Right and every place they can invegle themselves into in between.

Nope, the Europeans watched a war started by the Serb assassin of Archduke Ferdinand, an assassin on a land-grab jihad that has never ended. They also watched the Serbs go to war agaisnt every ethnic group in the Balkans and watched people starving, shelled without the ability to defend themselves (they had been disarmed), tortured, murdered and raped for crime of voting themselves independent of a supremacist ethnic group that believes all the land in the Balkans is their own personal "ancestral lands" -- despite the fact it is the ancestral lands of Albananians who preceded Serbs to the area 4,000 years before them, the Jews who've been there for 500 years, and the Slavs, Romanians, Croats, and Bosnians who all hold equal claim to the land.

So we will now stop talking about the Duka as it's been established that they were all under 7 and have no memory of any Balkan homeland. But we will not erase the lies we've told and the aspersions that we've cast.

We will now blame the 800,000 Albanians living in this country peacefully, respectfully and gratefully and tolerate the Serb Master Race War in America when it is they who should probably lose their little green cards for trying to set my country up once again. As one Serb said on the FPM boards: there'll be another war, and this time Serbs will win it, and they'll do it American money, American weapons, and American soldiers.

So sign up for Army service now, and see beautiful, destroyed Sarajevo and the great historical sites of Pristina and Srebrenica. When the Serbs take them over, I expect to see monuments erected to Mladic and Karadzic, the butchers of Srebrenica and the ones who ran a sniper war against unarmed civilians. When I posted the list of children killed by these snipers, age 2 and up, one of our dear JW posters said,:

Gee, I thought that Karadzic was a politician; how nice to find out he was also an excellent shot.

Meanwhile, Albania serves in the U.S. coalition in Iraq. In fact there are 21 coalition members, and they are these:

Albania
Armenia
Australia
Azerbaijan
Bosnia-Herzegovina
Bulgaria
Czech Republic
Denmark
El Salvador
Estonia
Georgia
Kazakhstan
Latvia
Lithuania
Macedonia
Moldova
Mongolia
Poland
Romania
South Korea
United Kingdom

Now, the War in Iraq was a mistake, but the list above tells you who your friends.

And how come Albania, Azerbaijan (94% Muslim), Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kazakhstan (47% Muslim, highest % of any religion) are in there helping us FIGHT JIHAD and the Serbs aren't???

The answer to that question is that the Serbs aren't really interested in fight jihad worldwide. They are interested in creating a perception of the Muslims in the Balkans as OVERWHELMINGLY jihadist so they can continue a war for absolute supremacy in the Balkans -- and, having completely ruined their reputation in Europe and the rest of the world -- see the false conflation of all things non-Serb in the Balkans with radical jihad the fastest, easiest way to suck America into another war, this time on their side.

Or, we can Bleed for their Greed once again.

No. The conflation of Albanian Islam with jihad is vastly false. They are fighting it all the time, and with a better record, frankly, than we have.

Bosnia-Herzegovina is expelling every hate-preacher it can find.

In Montenegro, there is open, violent skirmish to prevent Wahhabists from taking mosques.

Frankly, these Muslims stand up against radical jihad every day of their lives. It's American Muslims who don't by and large (acknowledging a few wonderful examples like Zudhi Jasser).

So, you won't hear about the Duka boys again, except for a blanket assertion that they are jihadists because someone Albanian blood makes you so. They will be used -- these boys 1, 4 and 6 -- to fatten the Serb claim that ethnicity and jihad are joined at the chromosome.

And nobody who has written about the DUKA family name being ALBANIAN will withdraw the claim.

Is it a Muslim thing? Yeah, it is. And my guess is we're going to find an Wahhabi imam, probably foreign-born, probably Egyptian or Pakistani imam (the Saudi financiers cover it by using imams of other nationalities in the United States, not their own people) behind this.

You will likely find a SUNNI source for this, not a Shi'a one. And the vast majority of Albanians are not Sunni. They are Bektashi Sufis, and that's Shi'a.

There are many on this site that believe that the ends justify all means, even destroying the models of moderacy which are the bearers of a peaceful Islam of the future.

I am not one of them.

@ ZionistYoungster

Thank you for Your permission.
Considering MSM, I must admit that I stik to those budist rule: in every evil there is some good, in every good there is some evil. Watching the lies of MSM during 90'ies, where we Serbs were presented to average man on the west as nothing but uncontroled beasts, at least helped me to realize power of antijewish propagana specially in nazi germany. Since I studied history for a while, I always wonder why have germans hated jews so immensely, when at least jews never invaded or terrorized germany. Civilized nation like germans, were invaded many times in history, but never from the jews. Than, latter, I have heared for one anecdote. When somene ask hitler why he so pasionately hated jews, he answered: people need something to hate, so I gave them jews. Attach that with thoes goebels saying: the bigger the lie, more people will accept it.
For over 4 millenia, your nation gives a lot of prominent figures and contributed to all mankind. But in exchange, you were usually suspiciaosly accused for conspiracyes, mamonia, simonia, nepothism and even for eating childs in some grotesque rituals in some secret basements. Every eventual scum who would be found among you were used as master proof for antijewish histeria. On the contrary, every jew who contributed to all mankinde, those like Moses, Isaiah, Jesus, Maimonides, Gabirol or in recent times Spinoza, Einstein or others, were usualy strippen from their jewish heritage, and proclamaited as global treasure with some undefined semite, spanish, france or german origin.
Simmilary, as a Serb, I begin to understand that colosal injustice done to us. Names like Nikola Tesla becames uiversal figures without any mentioning of their Serbian nationalistic aspires, and Tesla was Serb nationalist. Not to mention names like Pupin or Milankovic. Or first wife of Albert Einstein- Mileva Maric, who with her matematician skills contributed, at last on some level, to Einstein relativity theory. BUT, for a different kind, every Serbian scum, namely Miloshevic, are wery well welcomed for a 'true-serb' medal. They are not part of mankind, even those dark side of it, they are exclusively Serb proper, and more welcomed by that than it was Miloshevic arrival at Daiton airfoce base in 1995 (my cinical comment on inscription 'welcome president miloshevic').Thus are MSM.
So I can go on and on. But anyway, I can promise to you and anyone else: till there is a life in me I'll fight jihadist on any possible means:AK 47, keyboard, praying,...anything.And I can bet, that for majority of Serbs, the same applies. And even if we fell, it will be like in one defiant verse in our Serbian poem:
If nothing elese left from us but graves,
even that graves will fight against you.
Cheers

"And how come Albania, Azerbaijan (94% Muslim), Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kazakhstan (47% Muslim, highest % of any religion) are in there helping us FIGHT JIHAD and the Serbs aren't???"

Could it possibly be because the US bombed the Serbs? Duh! Interesting how despite that we have not seen Serbian terrorists attacking and plotting to attack us. However, despite the US rescue of Muslims in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Kosovo, and despite our attempt to feed starving Muslims in Somalia and despite our support for Chechens and Pakistanis in their conflicts with "infidels", there is no end to Muslim plots to kill as many Americans as they can.

Great points Morgan. Anyone who has lived out here in the Balkans(I live in Montenegro, and have lived in Sarajevo, Skopje, Prishtina, and Albania) knows the truth of what you wrote. This article by Gorin is an unworthy addition to the rest on this site.

... models of moderacy which are the bearers of a peaceful Islam of the future.

As 1400 years of history amply demonstrates; the only way to ensure "peaceful islam of the future" is to break its legs today.

Plava Legija,

And of course, you can drop the bit I added to the post, the link to the article about the Khazar Myth, under the horizontal separator line. It's there because I wanted to add it quickly and that was the best available place, but it's clearly not part of the post.

It seems to me that so many things the Jews were blamed for conspiratorially--the wish to dominate the whole world, poisoning drinking sources, imposing our cultural precepts and customs upon others, and so on--the Muslims do in plain sight. And they're given a free multicultural pass to do that!

It will be well in the end. That's a promise from G-d in His Torah. In it, He describes Himself as the G-d of Justice, Bože Pravde, who waits patiently, both expecting the wicked to repent and collecting their transgressions until they do so, to that final day when the wait is over and He dispenses the whole measure of justice to all His creations. Mecca will not forever keep usurping Jerusalem.

RBLA,

Interesting how despite that we have not seen Serbian terrorists attacking and plotting to attack us. However, despite the US rescue of Muslims in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Kosovo, and despite our attempt to feed starving Muslims in Somalia and despite our support for Chechens and Pakistanis in their conflicts with "infidels", there is no end to Muslim plots to kill as many Americans as they can.

Because it deserves being repeated. More than once. More than twice. On and on again.

Great post Mr. Spencer..

Keep it up becuase this is a critical battle ground in the War of Islamic Aggression!

People have to realize that in:

(1) Israel
(2) Sudan
(3) Ethiopia/Somalia
(4) Philippines
(5) Thailand
(6) Nigeria (Sub-Saharan Africa)
(7) Chechnya/Southern Russia in general
(8) Lebanon
(9) Balkans

Are all open fronts in this war. They are all driven for the same reasons which is jihad to establish Islamic rule. Also combine that with the immigration of muslims into the west and we are in real danger of having other open fronts break out internally.

To single out the Balkans and convince yourself that is any different then those jihadist fronts in Thailand or southern Lebanon is true folly.

It is the ultimate not seeing the forest for the trees!

Two doors up a former sniper (of Serb officers) has a beer with my friend from Germany. Below my window, a former Serb officer (wanted for war crimes) does the tile work on our balcony. My friends from Kosova(o) recall their fighting alongside Middle Eastern Jihadists until the day their friend was murdered in cold blood for disrespecting Allah. They all have this in common:
Their disgust for mujahedeen. The answer is not to justify war crimes or judge all Albanians as "the same." That is as unfair to them as it is to the Serbs. The answer is to bring Christ to them all, as He is revealed in the Bible. He is the only hope. No amount of war can stop Jihad. It will only increase the fervor. The beards will be shaven when the hearts are renewed by the love of Christ.

Could you be more specific? What does the help consist of? Do name the contribution of these countries in terms of committed resources, troops, participation in battles, casualties, material and financial burden etc…

After all, it is rather easy to specify the elements of the enormous Serb contribution to the victory over Nazi Germany. Just as easy and obvious as the Balkan Moslem contribution to the German war effort.

MACEDONIAN ALBANIAN DUKA FAMILY CONDEMN ATTACKS:

Family of Macedonian Albanians in US Terror Plot Shocked

10 05 2007 Debar_ Family members of three Macedonian Albanians accused of plotting a terrorist attack against the Fort Dix barracks in United States said Friday they were shocked by the news.

Dritan, Sahin and Elvir Duka, the three Albanians arrested on Monday for plotting an attack on a military base, are all from the village of Spas, near the town of Debar, a predominantly ethnic Albanian town close to the border with Albania. The brothers left Macedonia 22 years ago and never came back.

Elez Duka, a cousin of the three, who owns an internet café in Debar, told Balkan Insight that "what has happened is unacceptable”. ”We are a family that has never had any problems," he said. >B>"If this is true, nobody could support them for what they did."

Naze Duka, the grandmother of the three brothers, visited them in the US in October 2006. "They were working non stop and were coming home after work. I cannot believe they have done something like this - America is feeding us," she said.

The mayor of Debar has also said he was dismayed after he saw reports. "We live from the support of our immigrants. Almost every family has the US flag next to the Albanian flag. There are some 15,000 local people in America," Argtim Fida told Balkan Insight.

While yesterday Pristina officials and NGOs rushed to condemn the alleged plot and express Albanian loyalty to the US, Skopje officials seemed unruffled by the fact that three of the suspected terrorists were from Macedonia.

"Macedonia stays firmly on course in the global war against terror. We strongly condemn this act as well as all acts of terrorsim," government spokesperson Ivica Bocevski told Balkan Insight. Macedonia is an US ally with troops deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq.

"We condemn terrorist plots against the US which has proven to be the biggest partner of the Albanians. We hope this case will be treated as an isolated one, and will not create a negative image of Albanians in Macedonia. We do not expect that this will affect Macedonia`s relations with the US as, at the end of the day, we are talking about members of one family that did not live here for a long time," Ermira Mehmeti, spokesperson for the Albanian opposition party, the Democratic Union for Integration, told Balkan Insight.

Bravo!!!

I've always argued that Balkans, for it's specific and unique place, was always one step in front of us in comprehending the huge historical turmoils. Problems always surface there first. That's why I love it so much.

BTW, Hugh,

I totaly agree with your point from your first post (at May 10, 2007 07:59 AM).

Morgaan, you are still here, you still have face to speak here??? For Christ sake, woman, understand that your resistance is futile, prepare to be DEJIHADED!!! How much are they paying you? In which regional Dhimmi NGO are you these days?

Keep your eyes on Balkans people, this is where main battleground is. Whole Serbian army died to save Europe in battle of Kosovo in 1389. and jihad was stopped then. Serb knights sacrified their lives but killed twice as many mojahedin and muslim sultan Murat in that battle.

Westerners should support Israel, Greece and Serbia, this is their shield against barbarians. Otherwise they will reach Vienna again.

Exactly! Every concession to the advance of Islam anywhere only encourages more expansion. Kosovo, Bosnia, Chechnya, Palestine, Kashmir, Pattani, Mindanao, Nigeria etc. are all fronts in the same war against the same aggressor.

Likewise, any rollback of Islam anywhere weakens the whole beast. That's why the Muslims have not forgotten the loss of Spain to this day. Everytime a territory is removed from the rule of the Umma, we should be bold enough to take the next step and advance further. If the Muslims impose dhimmitude on any captive population, then we should impose the same measures on the Muslims living in our territories. We should meet Islamic oppression with equal measures and meet jihad with superior force.

ZionistYoungster

I've been guilty of a similar attitude during the 90s - not during Kosovo, which I opposed (mainly due to the wag the dog aspect), but during the Bosnia war.

Witch King, Plevia, other Serbs...

You are right that at the time, there weren't alternate sources of information that there are today. But at the time, I, as a college student, was on usenet, and ought to have visited Serb newsgroups - maybe soc.culture.serb or soc.culture.yugoslav and learnt about the Serb POV before supporting Muslim petitions condemning genocides by Serbs. Problem with me is that being an anti-Communist, I rejoiced at the disintegration of the Soviet Union, and I wasn't too unhappy at the same happening to Yugoslavia. Also, I believed - on the basis of zero evidence other than how they looked - that Bosnians and Albanians were Muslim-lite, and that their friction with Serbs was ethnic rather than religious - similar to Croats. On that basis, I used to support Bosnian independence.

However, on Kosovo, I read a National Geographic article on the region some years ago, and determined - if this was a succession war between the Serbs and the Ottoman empire, the Serbs deserve to be supported. And while I did support the disintegration of Yugoslavia, my hatred of Communism didn't extend to the Serbs. Therefore, I decided - regardless of where I stand on Bosnia, I would be on Serbia's side on Kosovo, no matter what.

After 9/11, I decided that it was a mistake to have sympathized with Muslims anywhere - after all, since 1991, the US can claim to have done what it could for Muslims in Kuwait, Somalia, Bosnia, and later, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq. Based on these acts, there should be no Jihad terrorism, right? But then Muslims got their Pakistan in 1947, but that hasn't prevented them from desiring the re-conquest of India and the conversion/obliteration of Hindus from India proper, not just Pakistan, not just Bangladesh, not just Kashmir...

Since then, I read Robert's edited book 'Myth of Islamic tolerance', and read about Izetbegovic's declaration. That completed my turn-around on Bosnia as well. Why was I being such a 'humanitarian' - it's not like I was supporting Chechnya against Russia! As a Hindu, what was I doing supporting Muslims against anybody, regardless of whether they are wronged or not? My resolution since the 2000 hijacking of an Indian plane to Kandahar - never again!

I am on record as apologizing to Serbs on a few occasions on this site. Trust me - I, for one, do owe you at least that. And here it is again.

Am still getting a chuckle out of the Clinton war room going ballistic and going on steroids as they see the chickens coming home to roost.

Chucklehead Clinton got us into the Balkans to help keep the events under his president desk out of the headlines.

He put us on the wrong side. We bombed our former WWII allies !

Now Misses Chucklehead gets a story into CNN yesterday that 'we must give long promised and withheld recognition to the Albanian Kosovars '(can you say muslim umma jihadis in the soft underbelly of Europe ?)

The Clinton war room know that if the story is told truthfully it could seriously and badly reflect on Mrs Chucklehead.

Thanks Infidel,

Everyone in Serbia understands how mass media lied to westerners, you don't have to apologize. Probably I would do the same in your situation. But now it is about survival of Serbia and we need help. Do whatever you can people - at least spread the word of truth. By defending Serbia you are defending yourself.

Lazar

You have it.

I was tempted to list them...Until somebody does something about muslim then yes. They will be no different then the Balkans or Southern Thailand.

A "Free France" and a "Islamic France". etc...

Correction from above...

Until somebody does something about muslim IMMIGRATION then yes.

Balkan Muslim Gratitude?

How about the gratitude that we, the US and the UK should have had for the Serb contribitions WWII? Instead of any gratitude we sold ourselves for Saudi approval.

If anything, the Serbs had an excuse to conduct a terrorist campaign against the US and the UK, but they did not.

The tragedy is that we will not take this into account in future, but continue appeasing Muslims. It seems that only violence attracts the symapthy of Left/Liberals and our governments.

From Serbianna

The U.S.-European proposal recognizes progress in implementing the standards and calls for their continued implementation. It also recognizes "the non-consensual breakup of Yugoslavia, the violence and repression of the 1990s and the period of U.N. administration that make Kosovo a special case."

And guess who was responsible for this? US.

If ever there was an ignorants war, this was it.

As an American, I'm ashamed that our armed might
was used against Serbia. Whenever I can get it into
a conversation, I point out that we are supporting
the wrong side there.

I don't believe in any mythical "moderate Muslims",
either. If they were moderate, they'd leave Islam
altogether.

Talk about birds coming home to roost! next we'll be
inviting thousands of Iraqis to this country.

And how come Albania, Azerbaijan (94% Muslim), Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kazakhstan (47% Muslim, highest % of any religion) are in there helping us FIGHT JIHAD and the Serbs aren't???"
Could you be more specific? What does the help consist of? Do name the contribution of these countries in terms of committed resources, troops, participation in battles, casualties, material and financial burden etc…
Thomas h

Azerbaijan is a Shia country. If they are such a big help, the US could have had them police Najaf and Karbala, not to mention other cities in Shia Southern Iraq. Same goes for the Albanians - if they are Bektashi Sufis, and that's Shi'a, they too could have had their troops there, as well as in Shia portions of Baghdad. Similarly, Bosnian troops - if they are also Bektashis - could have either been there, and if they are Sunni, they could have been deployed in al Anbar province. So why do these places have to be manned by Americans?

As for Kazakhstan, it's 47% Kazakh, which is a Muslim plurality, but not majority. And the only way it is that is if Eastern Orthodox Russians and Protestants are counted separately - the former being 38% and the latter 11% of Kazakh population. Reason Kazakhstan is such a tolerant place is that Russians are still there in high number, and it still has Nazarbayev - from Soviet days - as President. Countries like Uzbekistan have discontinued US military bases in their country, partly courtesy Russia, and partly due to US criticism of the Uzbek dictatorship - something, which if discontinued, would result in Uzbekistan becoming another Jihadi hub - thanks to Tamerlane being their proclaimed national hero, and thanks to their containing the Timuride cities of Samarqhand, Boqhara, Ferghana and Andijon.

We already have - 7000 to be precise.

Kosovo belongs to Serbia historicaly if kosovo is giving to the albanians it should not be recognised as a legal state by the internatuional community but seen as a illegal occuppation of part of Serbia just like N cyprus is not recognised by the international community apart from Turkey.

All i can say is if the USA and EU want to give kosovo to the albanians and Aid the terrorist albanians then What goes around comes around and it will come back on the USA and EU

I have the same feeling some other posters have when thinking back of the Balkan wars in the 1990's and the bombs on Serbia. One feels so silly when reading about the jihad in Kosovo, and how we supported, and still are supporting, those gangsters.
I remember how the Serbs were portrayed as nazis. My mother even joined in some anti-Serb action. They had petitions which they sent to Milosovic. Something like: "Please, mister Milosovic stop your terrible war." But they never did the same thing to Izetbegovic.
What a fraud.

Catherine,

Only WW1 began in the Balkans. To be specific, when Arch-duke Franz-Ferdinand of the Austro-Hungarian empire was assasinated (sp?) in Sarajevo.

WWII began, at least for those of us in the West, when Germany invaded Poland which isn't part of the Balkans.

Karl

PS I too was mislead my the MSM during the events during the 90's in the former Yugoslavia.

SCANDERBERG-that should be SKANDERBERG SS
Don't be shy man, know those Kosovar Albanians are
very proud of their history & have put up lots of Nazi mounuments there. Nice,eh.
Goes with the OSAMA BIN LADIN MOSQUE-hope it is near BOULEVARD BILL CLINTON!! Would be a hoot if it weren't so damn tragic and such a damning reminder of U.S's appalling & stupid Foreign Policy.

So those 3 Albanians really came from Macedonia, huh. And they were CLAIMING ASYLUM FROM
KOSOVO...And the West falls for Muslim Lies every time;can anyone wonder why we are NOT winning the War on Terror?

Go for it Morgaan Sinclair-enjoy a chuckle with my coffee,Gal. You ought to be known as the unlucky Queen of 'Cut 'n' Paste.'

It won't be coming around - its here now.

The Clinton/NATO policy was/is the same shameful betrayal of Eastern Christendom that the West has practiced since at least as far back as the 4th Crusade (A.D. 1204).

And the Western powers did nothing to help the Armenians or the Assyrians when the Turks massacred them. The current Islamist violence against the West is divine punishment.

There'll likely be much more of it. So the West had better figure out its obligations.

I cannot let misrepresentations of history go without correction, even if it hairlips everybody on Bear Creek.

WW1 did not start becuse of an assassination in a "Serbian land grab." (I prefer sarcastic quotes instead of scary quotes.) An acute dislike of their Austrian masters had been brewing among the ethnic Serbs in Austria for years. If we want to get really technical about it, the war started because of the Austrian response to the assassination. No one has proven or even suggested that Mr Princip (the assassin) was working for the Serb government; so, the assassination in and of itself was not an act of war. The Serbs were accused by the Austrians of not working hard enough to find the guilty parties. The Austrians demanded that their army be allowed to enter Serbia and look for those who were involved. This was a demand that no country could ever, ever agree to. So, Austria declared war on Serbia. The reasons that the other countries invoked their treaties and secret pacts and started mobilizing is too complicated to explain here. We all know who sided with whom. Serbia was defeated by the Austro-Hungarians and the Serb army had little time to do anything but defend itself. The Serb Army retreated to Albania then to Greece.

Austria-Hungary was dissolved after WW1, an artificial country called Yugoslavia was cobbled together only to fall apart after the dictator Tito died. What other country has since fallen apart after the dictator died or was hanged.

Julia was right on...she isn't alone.
It was a last-straw reason I retired in protest (as well as many of my peers, a LOT of them)...I refused to take part in a feelgood politically correct police action led by a closet marxist...or her hillbilly hokum hubby.

First rule when dealing with the devil...DON'T.

Morgane -- "Queen of Cut-N-Paste"...LOL! I like that. What about Queen of Cut-N-Plagiarist?

From a thread yesterday:

"Notice:

Lacking the time today to select the comments by more unhinged posters and remove them, I have removed them all -- hoping this will serve as a lesson to the unhinged.

Cordially
Robert Spencer"

I was not involved in the thread in question, but still I would like to express some objection.

Unfortunately the lesson for those who are not so unhinged is 'don't waste your time and effort on posts' because yours could be deleted along with those that are unhinged. I do understand that Robert's, Hugh's, Marisol's, time is limited (hence a summary deletion is easier than sorting through endless material), but I don't think collective punishment is a fair solution either.

I don't fully understand JW's guidelines for banning posters. Maybe the guidelines should be posted somewhere, or maybe I missed them. I do understand the above disclaimer at the top of the thread, though I don't see actual guidelines for what constitutes grounds for banning.

Briefly, by what rule/principle, applied consistently, was Remote banned but Morgaan was not?

Khaybar Oasis, getting a comment deleted is not like being banned. I have had at least one or two comments removed because of a word that rhymes with fuzzy and some other name that offended some group.

Morgaan Sinclair, the more you anti Serb propaganda you spew, the more you convince me you wrote the propaganda for Bill Clinton and Jamie Shea during the Yugoslav war.

Scanndebeg or whatever you go by, that's a perfect name for someone who sides with terrorists. I guess you're going for Skenderbeg, the Albanian hero who the gestapo unit of Albanians were named for.

I don't care if these guys came from Macedonia, that only proves how bad things are there. It's well documented that the Kosovar Albanians that moved there during the Yugoslav war have been trying hard to take over. The Macedonian governement has given Albanians the right to fly the Albanian flag in areas they are the majority, this is all to try and curb the violence there. Albanians have been trying to take over that country the same way they are trying to take Kosovo.

Please spread your misinformation elsewhere, most here are too well informed to buy it.

Khaybar -- what makes you think that remote_control was banned?

Pelayo,

There are two distinct points. First was my objection about the summary deletion.

Second was my question...Unless I'm mistaken, remote has been banned (again), and Morgaan has not been banned. Why is that? I ask, because there seems to me to be a discrepancy in how the banning criteria are applied.

Champ,

I'm in touch with "remote" through another website. He claims he's been banned here recently within the past day or two.

Khaybar -- do you have an e-mail address? I will completely understand if you would rather not post it here.

Champ,

You seem like a reasonable poster, but I no longer exchange information like that on the net. I also recommend to others to be very cautious. However, you may be able to contact Remote at the Hesperado blog, which he has linked here previously. My view is that the issues should be addressed at JW where the other posters can see the discussion.

Khaybar --

OK, so why was remote_control banned? You mentioned Morgaan, did she have something to do with him being banned? Or did you mention her name for another reason? She was threatening to sue certain posters on JW -- is that why you think she should have been banned too?

Morgaan:

I cite the following from a post of your above.

"As one Serb said on the FPM boards: there'll be another war, and this time Serbs will win it, and they'll do it American money, American weapons, and American soldiers"

and

"[The Balkans] [are} the ancestral lands of Albananians who preceded Serbs to the area 4,000 years before them, the Jews who've been there for 500 years, and the Slavs, Romanians, Croats, and Bosnians who all hold equal claim to the land"

These are but two examples of sweeping statements that you make in your entry for which you should indicate a source for the information or, better yet, provide a link.

You browbeat your American readers for their anti-Islamic consensus, but you make abrasive assertions and seem to provide only your own vehemence and indignation as proof for any of them. Perhaps if you cited some solid sources, so that these facts could be verified and their contexts investigated your claims would be less controversial - and more effective.

One note on my previous post, I personally have no issue against the Albanian hero Skanderbeg, he was obviously a great man who led a very harsh existence. My issue is with the use of his name by people in a detrimental way, ie: Nazi sympathizers and terrorist sympathizers alike.

I could never understand how a guy who ended up fighting the Turks became a hero to so many in a predominantly Muslim country?

Funny how both of the last 2 world wars started in this place or maybe they were already started but that is just where we got in it?

Like I said the truth only up to a certian point don't want to upset the kiddies

Champ,

Those questions would best be answered by JW and Remote, because I only have partial information. Posters need to be informed as to what the complete rules are for banning, warnings, and deletions. These could be easily posted by JW. I will leave my above comment and question (in bold) for JW staff to either answer or ignore.

i hope remote is not banned from JW he/she had good post as far as i am concerned he supports and shows sympathy for oppressed christians who are victims of islam i sometimes wonder if this site is biased towards users i myself have had some of my post removed and when i have tried to post stuff i got message saying i had a feature enabled for my commnets to be read before they showed on the forum to prevent malicous comments being posted mind you even though i did post commnets after seeing that note my comments still did not show on the forum

If anyone should be banned from here it should be mogaan sinclair i am fed up with his/her spamming the forum its disruptive to keep having to scroll down the page takes and plus her comments are hateful and racist towards serbs

Greek Gurl -- I completely agree with you!!

Off Topic: I took a cruise with my husband through Greece and up to Rome last September, and our favorite ports were in Greece. It's a wonderful place to travel to! There were so many friendly people/places; and the shopping -- we loved the shopping! OK, maybe I loved the shopping more than he did, but we both had a memorable time.

Take care! Many blessings to you and your countrymen!

Bosnia has especially become jihadi central, as has the Albanian element in Macedonia.

Lots of fake passports and government cooperation with the Jehadis out of Sarajevo

champ thanks i am glad to hear you liked your holiday in Greece i Would like to see more of Greece myself i am Greek Cypriot living in the UK i been to Cyprus and i been to corfu and kos but I would love to visit athens and more islands
