What is both fascinating and horrifying at the same time is the profound absence of anything resembling rational intelligence when it came to issuing something as potentially destructive as a fatwa. How on earth would you dialogue with someone like this? I think I would rather take my chance attempting to debate with the Talking Clock.

This is the beginning of a recipe for disaster. Islamic nut cases in the early concerted jihad of course with the motive to take over a country pocessing nuclear weapons. Isn't that a comforting thought?

We need stuff like this here-right? Given enough time groups like the CAIR-Bund would be doing the same thing in America. They are already deceiving folks with their Flying-phony nonsense. True Muslims are incompatible with a secular, pluralistic society. The best thing to do is to contain them (Truman Doctrine style), become energy self-sufficient and keep a sharp eye on these fanatics. This "religion" is absolutely intolerant (Saudi Arabia, etc.) and totally incompatible with pluralistic democratic societies (where public opinion matters via the free and open expression of ideas and opinions).

I really think we should keep the pressure on muslims who claim to condemn acts of violence, but never really do so publicly. Where is the outcry?

With supposedly these millions of Muslims, it beggars belief that the majority of them are peaceful and don't agree with the manifestations of violent jihad that we are seeing all over the world. I think in their hearts, they believe everyone who suffers at the hand of their brother muslims must surely deserve the violence done to them. While they personally would never act out in violence, they certainly don't disagree with those that do. Inshallah and all that.

Again those muslims who counter our posts, everywhere, on every site, side step the issue at hand every time. Day before yesterday I visited a friend in a planned community. Quite beautiful, really. A mix of greenspace, golf courses, tennis courts, town houses, and $800,000 custom built homes. Driving around in this place, which houses many thousands, I saw Moslem pedestrians all over the place.

Today I learned (in Kenneth Timmermans book Preachers of Hate) that islamic clerics and prayer leaders are not men of God, rather they are appointed by the local ruler. Timmerman may very well have been addressing Yassar Araft's particular PLO appointed clerics, but I wonder, is that also true in all of the muslim world?

To some, the bad ones are good -- and to others, the good ones are bad. It's all relative to those living in La-La-Land.

sheik yer'mami, the problem with doing that is that it would drive them underground. They do enough underground crud without driving all of them underground. What they need to do is take lessons in another language and just go in and listen to what they say - infiltration is the game.

Banning their activities only makes us have an idea that we have solved the problem - a sense of false security.

Take some lessons when bloody Mary banned Protestants - not only did she not stamp them out, even by burning then at the stake, she just drove them underground. It only makes men's minds more devious.

The Pakistani Intel has been quite pro Pakistan secular government and military in the past to the extent of being a CIA run operation. My instinct tells me it is coming out of the Russian GRU and FSB dumping funds into their shill Zawahiri's camp along with bin Laden's contacts with Pak intel are trying to add a third nuclear leg to explode against the west (Iran, bin Laden and Pakistan would provide the incineration of sub Asia Russia and China would approve of for domination.

R_not you are comparing apples to oranges.. there is no idelogy similiar to islam in the religious sense. The Catholic faith came first before Protestant, so going underground for either RC or Protestant would not be too difficult. outlawing islamic schools would be my first law, if that could not be inforced.. the liberal social nets need to be cut, no funding for non public shools, investigate them all day, every, to where you will keep them closed, keep harassing them, till they leave the country.

Thanks, Darcy for letting all of us know about this column. From what this muslima writer says about Christians having to go through a priest and muslims don't, you can see that muslims are definitely ignorant about Christians, and not so much the other way around. Boy, are we learning fast!

You gotta love this guy, fatwa against thinkers in Pakistan.. I guess if anybody thinks in Pakistan he/she is dead, either from pain or from fatwa. Don't we get from time to time this Pakistani blogger calls himself 'an American' who often says that he is thinking? Shouldn’t we report him to 'Shah'?

Based on the categories he mentioned above, I would consider that fatwa a "Genocide Fatwa", i.e. mother of all fatwas. I guess he will wrap-up about 160 million people. He wants to kill every Pakistani in Pakiland!
