Islamic solidarity -- and another move by Iran to position itself as the leader of the entire Islamic world, not just of the Shi'ites. "Former Iranian Diplomat and Brother of Top Iranian Nuclear Negotiator Mohammad Javad Larijani: Iran Is Willing To Share Nuclear Technology with Saudi Arabia and Gulf Countries," from MEMRITV, with thanks to RW:
Following are excerpts from an interview with former diplomat Mohammad Javad Larijani, from the Institute for Studies in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics, which was aired on Channel 2, Iranian TV on April 14, 2007:Mohammad Javad Larijani: Iran's policy is a good one. We said to [the Gulf countries]: "If you want nuclear energy, come and we will teach you." I'm sure that the Westerners won't share even a tiny piece of knowledge with any of the Gulf countries. They won't share it even with Turkey.
Then followed a nice slap at Turkish secularism:
Turkey has danced so many Western-styled dances in the past 50-60 years, in an attempt to win over Europe's heart, but apparently, this heart is made of stone....
But the Russians will come through:
Under the present circumstances, no Western country will be willing to share technology of uranium enrichment with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and others. Meanwhile, they have a big brother to the north, which, praise God, has technology at its disposal. In my opinion, this happens to be a strong point. We can establish an excellent consortium with the Gulf countries, and produce nuclear energy. We will share this technology with them.
As the date shows this was old news in April and was placed there to try and draw off support for the American mission meeting which all the Gulf States signed off on in isolating Iran for the "push".
Saudi has no need of the nuclear technology as they already have the bomb via Pakistan which they funded.
Russia will help them all right. Russia will help itself and turn on the M.I. when the time is right.
Islam on the other hand will consume Russia when the time is right. They are strange bedfellows, who will soon tire of each others hegemoney, and then fall out of love...
"Former Iranian Diplomat: Iran Willing To Share Nuke Technology with Saudis and Gulf Countries"
I don't know about sharing the technology with the gulf States, but they'll certainly be willing to share it with any number of terrorist groups -- that's if they think there won't be any consequences for doing so.
That is why the United States should make it clear publicly, and to the whole world, that if a nuclear device is ever detonated in the U.S. or any country allied to the U.S., the United States will conduct no investigations to determine the guilt or innocence of any nation or terrorist groups, it will immediately responsd by obliteraing -- on suspicion alone -- certain nations, whose names are known only to us, but will not be divulged publicly at this time.
If Iran is contemplating using any third parties to deliver nuclear devices to any other areas of the world, I think it will rethink it's strategy, knowing full well that Iran is one of those nations, "known only to the United States" that it is targeted for complete destruction.
This is to dangerous a world to be tip-toeing around this issue. We have an obligation to ourselves and the world to make our position perfectly clear.
lol...well, it's true...on one condition:
as long as iran is acknowledged the superior sphere of influence in the region.
Of course, none dare call it blackmail/extortion or bribery...only westerners do that, don't they...lol
Adding to duh-swami's point:
If either Russia or China are trying to saddle the jihadist tiger, they had better remember the rhyme about the lady 'who went for a ride on the tiger/ They returned from the ride/ with the lady inside/ and the smile on the face of the tiger'. Raised in atheism [and remember: communism has western philosophical roots] they may not grasp the jihad mentality. Do they realize that the moment jihadists get the A-bomb, all bets are off - that a Muslim assassin/despot has NO brakes, and no levers? Total expediency. Total madness. Chaos. The Chinese should look at their own deep history - the jihad war on their western flank, and what happened to some of their best armies. The Russians should have a good, long think about Beslan; and about the pathological cheating they've encountered in their business dealings with Iran.
Mao and Stalin were amateurs compared to some of the Muslim despots of the past.
Yasser Arafat smilingly took everything the USSR gave him (terror training, etc.) and then went off and did whatever he damn well liked. Playing both ends against the middle, as Muslims have always done with their infidel neighbours.
(I wonder how much Russia's and China's current leaders, or their generals, let alone their ordinary citizens, actually KNOW about Islam the religion, the Quran, the Hadith, the Koranic way of war, or the 1400 year history of jihad, including its depredations on their own southern [Russia] or western [China] populations? I'd be surprised if most of them know much more than our own people - I might be wrong. Anybody have information on this? ).
