Oh foolish, foolish Israel! They gave citizenship to these Muslims who desire their destruction. Meanwhile there are thousands of Palestinian Christians from Bethlehem, Ramallah and other towns who desire Israeli citizenship but are denied it. When will the Israeli government wake up?
Grant immediate Israeli citizenship to all Christians in Judea and Samaria and form them into a militia to fight the Jihadists. The first act of this "Kataeb Filistin" will be to eliminate the Islamo-Christian collaborators and put forth some real Palestinian Christiian leaders to form a legitimate Palestinian government based in Bethlehem. Then this Christian Palestinian government can do what the Israelis should have done years ago. Expel the Muslims from Judea and Samaria.
After that, a confederation of Jewish Israel (with its vibrant Christian minority) and Christian Palestine (with its large Jewish minority) can be formed. There will be no more ugly walls marring the land since the Jordan River is a more defensible border.

Both Debbie Schlussel and Eliyahu covered this a few days ago. Bishara is however not a Muslim: while his origins are Christian, he really is a Marxist who participated in Communist youth movements. Treason aside, this story is actually one of the better highlights of the Left-Jihad alliance, since had Bishara had the real interests of Arab Christians at heart - both in Israel and Judea/Samaria, his activities would have been very different.

That's why I wrote that the first step that the Palestinian Christian Falangist would do is to eliminate the Islamo-Christian collaboraters. Bishara is an example of this type of criminal. Bishara, a self-proclaimed atheist is this kind of corrupt criminal. He became a communist while in school in Europe (I think it was in Germany but I'm not sure). He is an unrepentant Marxist and a supporter of Hizbollah. He is also infamous for his viscious attacks on Archbishop Elias Chacour's efforts for peace. He was elected by the Muslims that Israel foolishly empowered and is generally despised by the majority of Palestinian Christians.
He was recruited into Israeli politics by the Islamo-Jew Felicia Langer, then the head of Israel's Communist (Rakah) Party. There is a far-left German connection here as well. Unfortunately, the miniscule group of collaborators drawn out of the Christian community are well-financed by both the Western Left and the Islamic countries. It is past time that something be done to finance real leaders to speak for Palestinian Christians.
One clear sign that criminals like Bishara do not represent Palestinian Christians is to look at voting patterns. While Israeli Muslims vote heavily for parties like Balad, the Christian vote is much more diverse. Only one did Israeli Christian vote as a bloc. In 1977, over 80% of Israeli-Palestinian Christians in the Galil voted for Likud. It may have been their vote that broke Labour's hold on the government and made Menachem Begin Prime Minister. Begin promised to restore destroyed Christian villiages like Kfir Bir but failed in this hoonourable effort. In the last election, many Christians started gravitating toward Avidor Liberman's Yisrael Beytenu Party but that may not hold. Likud certainly has an opportunity to win a lock on the Christian Palestinian vote if it were really reach out to this community.

You can always tell where Spencer really sits when it comes to Israel. I have never seen a single American this pro-Israel. Bishara was picked for the post for this specific purpose. The investigation against him has been going on for some amount of time, and the higher-ups were completely aware of what they were doing. This is something that the Israeli government does every once in a while: they pick somebody or choose an Arab association who they know has suspicious ties and linkages and make it this glorious show of "democracy in action" and "we don't really hate our minorities," then the investigation comes out and the person resigns or the association is cut, and the government says "see, you really can't trust them so we should just keep power over them and the fact that they are the lowest parts of society is actually kind of good." Bishara was absolutely correct in his democracy statements--Israeli democracy is very different than that as we know it in the West, a select group of people (white Ashkenazis) control 95% of the power and politics in the country, and they throw a bone to the rest every once in a while to make sure that they are well-kept enough to say "better off than being forced into a refugee camp in Gaza," but not enough so that they could rebel and complain to Israel's Western funders. Spencer, there's another seat in that reading comprehension class (or is it column day yet?--if not I know you are totally too busy to respond or even monitor your comments.)

Oh, before you get going, there's something I left out: Israel isn't the only kid on the block that plays this game. Lebanon (Gemayel, Aun and co. v. Hizbollah), Egypt (Bedouin representation), Jordan (PLO tolerance), Syria (Druze issues), Palestine (Early incorporation of Hamas elements into Fatah government) as well as others in the region and around the world have played and continue to play the same game.

A little known biographical fact about Spencer is that he has extensive contacts with the Middle East, with Israelis as well as with Palestinian, Lebanese, and Egyptian Christians. Despite his name, I believe he's of Greek heritage. Beyond this he has immersed himself in the historical, philosophical and theological study of Islam, both academically and practically. So I think he's far more qualified in reaching his conclusions than you can even imagine.
Radical Muslims have little imagination...The Radical Islamic clerics do not like individualism, plurality, or freedom of thought...little crazed bearded fingerpointing slavemasters...
