Jihadists blow up music shop in village of Pakistani interior minister

The jihad proceeds apace in Pakistan, here targeting again the sale of sinful music. "Music shop blown up in Pak minister's village," from AFP, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:

PESHAWAR: Suspected Islamic militants blew up a music shop in a grenade attack on the interior minister's village in northwestern Pakistan on Tuesday.

The shop, which sold local and foreign music, was destroyed in the attack on Monday night in Sherpao village, senior police officer Feroz Shah said.

The village is named after the clan of Interior Minister Aftab Sherpao, who frequently returns to his ancestral home.

Shah said two militants on a bicycle lobbed a hand grenade into the Wahab Music Centre and fled. A police squad on motorcycles chased and arrested one man, while the other escaped.

I find it interesting that a terrorist on a bicycle can outrun a policeman on a motorcycle...

ExSgtBrown,

Yeah, perhaps the bicyclist who got away should think about racing in the Tour De France instead of blowing things up...

Cheers,

'Wahab Music Centre'.... doesn't sound like it'd have a big selection

Perfectly logical within Islam’s twisted and warped mindset… whether one’s sense of tolerance is overstretched because of religion, politics, music etc… what the hell, blow it to smithereens.

Perfectly logical within Islam’s twisted and warped mindset

I remember once learning that music was illegal in Iran. Looks like given the chance, the radicals would impose this wherever they could.

These terrorists have no imagination nor style. Riding a tandem bike and tossing handgrenades is just plain sissy.

A Buddhist monk would have grabbed the CD's and doused himself with gas and went up like a pyre.

A Shaman would have staked himself down in the midst of the CD's and dared the police to come and shoot him.

A Catholic would have stood their ground and died there and a Prostestant like Martin Luther would have nailed his teachings to the shop wall with his return address.

All these religions produce manly qualities, but Islam only produces these squat assassins who are just plain girly and mentally retarded in only blowing things up and either running away in death or pedalling away on a sissy bike to hide under their prayer rug.

I like this.

The more these radical Muslims do stuff like this, means that it forces non-radical Muslims to re-evaluating their religion. Their noses are pressed in the mud.

We must remember to not allow them into the West when their own countries become unbearable. Force them to confront their own religion.

And if they are killed - tough.
I have lost sympathy with anyone that identifies with Islam in any way - a long time ago.

Bigfoot,

I remember about a year ago the government of Iran banned broadcasts of the Tehran symphony orchestra. The music director left the country in protest.

I could almost sympathies with banning Rap, or some other forms of crap that pass as music now days.

But when a regime considers Bethooven, Mozart, Puchini or Handel, corrupting influence on its listeners, it says a great deal about how spiritually bankrupt those ignoramuses really are.

I admit that it sounds stupid at first but bikes (especially mountain bikes) are pretty maneuverable and if the perp knows where he is going but the cop does not, it is easy for a few missed turns to turn into a lost suspect. Then again the cop might have just let him go to focus on the suspect that was caught.

I agree. One of the strongest enemies of the moon god, Allah is the bright light of day. Though I might disagree with many on exactly how tight the borders between Islam and the West should be (tighter than they are now but not completely closed). While a minority but significant fraction of Islamic immigrants are problematic to us, a large group of Islamic immigrants are problematic to traditional Islamic societies. Every Muslim apostate who the West gives sanctuary to and every offspring of Islamic immigrants who retains some cultural awareness and language but looses faith in the religion as currently defined is a point for us.

I read someone recently who said that Muslim societies can not fully understand the West and its ways since they view us through the spoon fed stereotypes that support their view of history but we are able to understand their mindset since we can debate and refine our understanding of them. This is a tremendous advantage. Soon we will be able to automatically translate and search Arabic, Farsi and other languages and this technology will give us a great deal of power to understand the enemy and to reach the potential recruits befor the Imams of infamy do.

AGH! Spelling mistake in the last sentence! I saw it just as it was processing and tried to correct - nearly resulted in a double post. I once knew how to spell back "befor" I went online.
