The title of the conference "Issuing Fatwas in the Open World" is interesting to me. Is there a "closed" world where fatwas can be issued?

Beware of Muslims bearing adjectives.

I take it the suckling fatwa went too far, but condemning scultors another story?

Does anybody have this hadith where it says the the followers of the profit used to drink his urine?

One hadith describes that Muhammad had lice and that Aiyesha used to pick them out of his hair. Since Muhammed is the perfect man and every Muhammedan wants to emulate him, shouldn't they all have lice and 9 year old wifes who pick them out of their hair?

There's plenty of support in the hadith for suckling of adult males. Gomaa is just doing Islamic image management, like the Muslim spokesmen always do when such stories hit the media fan.

Al Azhar "university" in Cairo, Egypt is supposedly the most prestigious Islamic "university" in the Arab world. It's goal is to propagate Islam (and its superstitions). And this "university" is the one which is "partnering" with universities in Canada (including the University of Toronto -- which should be ashamed). Seriously, what do such "scholars" have to teach Canadian profs? that "the prophet's followers drank his urine?" and other such enlightening "science of Islam" pursuits? It marks the continued debasement of "scholarship" and academics in the West (we have the proliferation of conspiracy theories generated not by tabloid writers, but by "universities" and "profs" like Ward Churchill, or tenured, Canadian "profs" participating in Holocaust denial conferences, and on and on it goes.)

The only case of urine drinking that I found was when Dr Mohammed prescribed it to members of the Ukil/Uraina tribe - that too camel urine and milk. I don't recall whether the hadith stated that they should be mixed or not - oh, well, what's the difference?

...I am speculating that every time an UN vote on anything occurs, most of the Member nations immediately get an Email: "The check is in the mail!"....probably from Saudi Arabia or Iran....

Years ago, a prominent historian of Arabia, who worked in England, told me that someone else of minor eminence he knew -- a British diplomat who had once been posted to the Gulf -- had a pro-"Palestinian" letter published in "The Times." This is major insanity. So even Muhammad’s excrement is pure & sacred. No doubt Gomaa would have recommended to Muslims at the time the honor of having the prophet squat over their face and have a dump in their mouths.

Confirms my suspicions that Islam induces mental illness (seriously). So can other religions but Muslims are much more likely to be very dangerous.

This is also deification. Even Christians who revere Jesus as divine would not make such a claim about his piss, but Muslims, though they claim Muhammad was only a man have really deified him in their minds. This partly explains their outrage at images of the prophet: they make him look human. Their rediculous outrage even looks like mental illness. IMO millions of them should be in straightjackets.

Speaking of "cwazy"...there's another one -- a few weeks ago a Pakistani editor here in Canada got beat up. Why? Because he had the audacity to question/ridicule a Muslim (imam?) who made claims that he saw "the prophet's" footsteps on the moon. (yet another instance of Muslim "science" in operation, I guess). I also suspect that next the imam will be charging that the U.S. illegally occupies the moon, when, after all, Mo was there first... (once again, these are "cwazy" buraq believers...and, "no," I don't think "science" is their forte.)

The science of fatwas, now there's a subject to delve into, but not for the unqualified, amateur fatwa huckster who uses television to make a quick fatwa buck off sensational fatwas. Those fly-by-night-on-their-mythical-steeds from one 7/11 to another 7/11 fatwa profiteers cheapen and debase the fatwas of all true scholars of fatwawology.

Screaming faith healers curing fake cripples and begging for dollars to send me water or amulets they have imbued with divine powers suddenly seem more respectable. At least they aren't extorting money or issuing death threats to people who won't join their religious club.

Fatwa is just another word for criminal cohercion and extortion. Their ROP is the only religion on the planet where violence and threats fall under the rubrick of science. When they suceed in organizing their big centralized fatwa authority, it will be time to issue what we call RICOH warrants.

But dates are one of the few GOOD things coming out of the Middle East!

Of course, you don't have to fund jihad to get some. California grows a lot of medjool dates. And be on the lookout for delicious Israeli dates, such as "Jordan Valley" and "King Solomon" brands, especially since these tend to be boycotted by Muslims.

The climate of Medina did not suit some people, so the Prophet ordered them to follow his shepherd, i.e. his camels, and drink their milk and urine (as a medicine). So they followed the shepherd that is the camels and drank their milk and urine till their bodies became healthy. Then they killed the shepherd and drove away the camels. When the news reached the Prophet he sent some people in their pursuit. When they were brought, he cut their hands and feet and their eyes were branded with heated pieces of iron.
