In what prison authorities described as a "pay to pray" conspiracy, 12 of the 37 inmates at the Super Max facility became Muslim fundamentalists or converts. They all shaved their heads, grew long beards and prayed in their cells up to five times a day.

[Hamzy] is alleged to have been building a web of support in which murderers, rapists and armed robbers were receiving regular payments of A$100 - a modest amount in the outside world, but more than enough to enable inmates to buy radios, cigarettes and other luxuries. The payments were traced to a bank account in Bankstown, a Sydney suburb with a large Arabic and Muslim population.

Obvious questions: Whose name is on the account? Who may have solicited contributions? Who contributed?

The case gives new meaning to "You couldn't pay me to do that."

Power ideologies are seductive to the marginalized. Prisoners are receptive to all kinds of extremism. Prison authorities must recognize that Islam is just as pernicious as the KKK or the Nazis and should do what they can to discourage it. They should start by nixing imams from prisons. Of course, since Islam is not yet considered to be in the same league as the KKK, it will take some time before the appropriate steps can be taken. Keep educating.

Why are we surprised that Islam has such appeal for criminal inmates? It is a religious ideology that generally forgives all prior evil conduct as allah makes lawful for the criminal and allah makes profitable for the criminal what the criminal otherwise has already done and what the criminal would intend to do. The islamic part that allows the criminal to rape, steal, pillage and kill the infidel outside the community of followers will give the psychopath a life of privilege and special meaning. And the missionaries of Tablighi Jamaat and other groups, and those smiling Muslim "chaplains" (I know an Egyptian who trolls the prisons of New Jersey, unstopped by any authorities)and Muslim prisoners themselves, every one himself a missionary, find the perfect pool of potential converts in prisons. Meanwhile, the authorities do nothing, look away, pretend it is none of their business. They think they are helpless to do anything. But they are not. I am assuming that we as tax payers are footing the bill for the special dietary requirements for Muslim prisoners. Students in U.S. public schools can't even say a prayer before a football game,and I doubt that any court would allow for the special dietary needs of a Jewish student by a public school.

I like to pretend that my government is on the ball sometimes. In my scenario, the President meets with Bolton in a secret room from time to time, where they talk about the looming failure of the social safety net, the likely failure of our system of government in the aftermath, and Islam. They game out all the options.

They determine that the least-worst option is to import tens of millions of high school dropouts who may not be that sharp, but are at least nominally good-natured team players. People who will quickly bankrupt our form of government and usher in a new form of limited democracy with a strong executive. Bush-Bolton find this option far better than dragging things out and allowing more Islamic penetration.

There is some wierd mentality that you cant keep religion from prisoners. This has led to numerous lawsuits giving prisoners the 'right' to religion.
Not only that, but they have a 'right' to 'privacy', which means that guards can't sit in on, or listen to, religious sermons or talks. The guards are not stupid, they know what these imams are teaching and they know the product that is being produced, but they can't do anything about it, because the PC. crowd has already enabled prison imams to produce jihadists out of the mentally fractured inmates.
You can't get religion out of prisons now, it's too late, but we can redefine Islam from religion to political movement, revoke it's tax free status, and stop its teachings in prisons.
This would make Mosques political offices subject to reporting income (Saudi?)and paying taxes.
