A Qassam rocket fired from the northern Gaza Strip landed Monday morning near a private house in the southern town of Sderot, causing damage to the building. A number of people suffered from shock, including a woman who lost her consciousness.A kindergarten is located not far from the landing site. Sderot residents said that the fact that no one was physically hurt was a miracle, as children were making their way to the kindergarten.
The al-Quds Brigades, the Islamic Jihad's military wing, claimed responsibility for firing the rocket. According to the Jihad, they fired a medium-range 'Quds' rocket.
Ah, the religion of moral equivalence&trade is playing with its fireworks again - as usual caring nothing for any children or elderly folk its barbaric, pointless petulance puts at risk.
In addition to vapourising the capraphilic 'brothers' that carry out this senseless, pointless violence, the IDF should fire a reciprocal, proper missile into each of Syria (the importer) and Iran (the financier).

Some months ago the Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni noted that Israel has bad PR and it is necessary to do something about that. She's right. The constant repetition of the lie that the very existence of Israel is linked only to the Holocaust has enabled her enemies to portray Israel as an outside "entity" in the Arab Mideast.
The Jewish people in Israel are portrayed by Arabs as strangers to the Mideast, people who fled the Nazis, moved in and squeezed out an "indigenous people", the "Palestinians". However, as Bat Ye'or has pointed out: about 50% of the Jews in Israel are Jewish people who have fled Muslim Mideast countries to escape Arab oppression.
The kind of Muslim-Arab-Imperialist-oppression that causes the rockets to descend upon the kindergarten are symbols of the reason why Mideast Jews have sought safety in the Jewish State. This kind of thing (rockets descending on schools, etc. from Arabs) will likely be the same reason why the Kurds at some point in the future will establish a Kurdish State. However, Israel will always be more offensive than a Kurdish State because it is an insult for Jews not to be subdued in Israel. Muslims will never stop thinking of Israel as a sacrilege, an "entity" that insults Islam because the Koran mandates that Jews must be made to feel subdued in the Mideast. The rockets descending on the kinddergarten are part of that big picture.
The Holocaust is only half the story of why Israel must exist. The other half of the story is not given enough publicity. For that reason Arab-Muslims tell half-truths that tell whole lies. The whole truth is that Israel's existence is necessary because of Arab-Muslim oppression, as well as because of Nazi style oppression.
What Muslim would want to be a Dhimmi? That's the reason why Mideast Jews prefer to live in a Jewish State.
Once again, the Muslims launch rockets without a care as to whom dies...clearly targeting "civilians." There is not a doubt in my mind that Muslims are blatant murderers....Then they have the audacity to blame Israel for the rocket attacks....

Whatever happened to the International Jewish Conspiracy, where they had that Zionist Command & Control Center in downtown Manhattan from where they controlled the world’s media? Instead, we get bumbling stumbling inarticulate half-apologies from Jewish leaders who act ashamed to be Jewish.
Few realize that the largest part of Israel was purchased by individual Jews, bought from Arab Moslem absentee landlords, btw, with hard earned Jewish cash. Most think that most every acre of Israeli soil was confiscated from poor Bedouins residents whose families had been living there for thousands of years.
I’d like to see a poll on that. I’d also like to see the numbers on how opinion shifted when the settlements started up in response to the out-migration of Jews from the fallen Soviet Union countries.
The Israeli rules of war:
Palestinians can fire rockets at will into Israeli cities killing school children and anyone else.
In response Israelis can call Palestinians bad names – any more would be outrageous and even the name-calling could be racist and should be restrained.
If Olmert the Incompetent is not relegated to the dustbin of history soon and replaced by leadership with some depth, Israel is in real trouble.

This kind of thing goes on everyday in the great sandpit of Iraq. The only difference is the media can see no news past a quick headline when it’s Muslim on Muslim. But when our lads lay the boot into some Iraqi rioters a certain prominent daily paper publishes a front page splash of British squaddies abusing a prisoner in the back of a truck. Said damning images were recorded at a TA base in Lancashire and the editor got sacked for his easy acceptance of what he wanted to see.
Thing is if your waiting for this attitude from the media to change then don’t hold your breath too long, because these people are there until they retire and write a book about the war they valiantly reported on. It’s like John Simpson taking umbrage at the US pilot that detonated Simpson’s convoy of four wheel drives, killing the Iraqi translator that John himself had plucked from the street and drove onto a battlefield full of four wheel drives.
These journalists are the new crusaders while our troops are not. Your average soldier is doing his time so he can get back home and see his family. This lot love it though. I mean no disrespect to Terry Lloyd’s family but why was a civilian anywhere near the Shatt al-Basra bridge while the US Marines were exchanging fire with the Iraqis? The Grauniad suggests that Terry Lloyd was hit by Marines in the crossfire. What the hell was this man doing in front of Marine positions in the midst of a fire fight? And why is his death, caused by his own decisions more news worthy than a soldier who went because he was told?
The fact is that these people should only be embedded at the best of times and the day they lie once they should be exposed. As for their journeys to the dark side of Palestine, they should wonder whether their TV in black tape on the roof is enough to save them from the fate of Alan Johnston.
I once fancied myself as a correspondent, it sounded exotic and well paid. But I ended up a Humvee mechanic in the rear with the gear but I still believe my input to the war on terror outmatches these crusaders ten to one.

i'd like to be the first to condemn israel for their disproportionate response. i haven't heard of any response from the israeli's but, whatever it is, i'm sure it's disproportionate....
