WASHINGTON, May 22 (Reuters) - Osama bin Laden ordered al Qaeda's leader in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, to form a cell in 2005 to plot attacks outside of Iraq and make the United States his main target, a senior U.S. official said on Tuesday.Citing newly declassified intelligence, Fran Townsend, President George W. Bush's adviser for homeland security, said the information backs the administration's assertion that U.S. troops must stay in Iraq for now to prevent it from becoming a "terrorist sanctuary."
No surprise here, especially since the breaking news the day before of irans plan to "run us out of iraq" (as if iraq is ALL they're going to do-yeah, right).
Old news, happened quite some time ago, but the plan has been enahnced, now encompasses more players, and is far more orchestrated now since zaeqawis death.

In a better-ordered world, our Department of War Propaganda would be directing its efforts at instructing Infidels in the tenets, atttiudes, atmospheris of Islam (begininng with our soldiers, deliberately kept in the dark until they get to Iraq, where through experience they come to know the wonderfulness of the locals, their true-blue willingness to cooperate and collaborate and even fight for themselves, and in general, come to realize, through experience, the non-sense of the "mission" as defined by the prating dignitaries who no longer dare speak even in front of military audiences, unless its members have been handpicked, and carefully instructed as to how to respond, as a matter of military discipline.

It is quite distasteful to refer to our Department of Defense or any branch of American service as "propaganda departments" as while Jihad Watch extols it's innocence of being taken out of context, CAIR, al Qaeda, al Jazeera and every enemy of the United States of America now has editor Hugh Fitzgerald deeming the United States a propaganda machine simply because he does not agree with current US policy.
Mr. Spencer does an equal snide disservice in his putting words in the United States government's mouth of "apparently jihad terror plots can only be hatched in Iraq". The government never said that in any form.
This site complains about people saying things about it that it does not say and yet it uses at times the same practices against those it disagrees with.
Why not simply present the factual information that Iraq is a battleground intended by bin Laden, President Bush went in knowing this and a battle is on which is bloody and deadly.
One can examine just how many thousands of dead would have been butchered by Saddam compared to the numbers now in Iraq...one can compare 3000 plus dead in American sacrafice compared to what would have been more deadly attacks using WMD's on America if al Qaeda had not been checked there.
That is what is required and Iraq will not go away. bin Laden was defeated and bruised there and the fact is his hope is Americans force the White House out of Iraq for his victory there and his crippling of America using atomic bombs in the near future.
How does one stop this is what needs to be addressed as policy is formulated for the best outcome of America. Nothing is going to stop the death now.....the answer which needs to be found is how does America limit it's dead, limit the contamination of radioactivity so we do not loose entire townships for a generation and loose children to radiation tumors in the same 50 year period like Chernobyl.
Since people do not like Bush's policy in fighting it out there and having Iraq as an American staging area in the upcoming Eurasian world war, so the invasion will strike Alaska and Texas then those taking us on the get out of Iraq policy have to bring answers to how to deal with Russia and China who are using proxy Islam to set this up.
This is not just about Islam, but the world forces arrayed against the United States. This is the puzzle and no one here has provided a check on the larger picture. Islam once Russia and China are through with it will be vaporized by them, so those only dealing in Islam and Iraq are exposing the western cultures to attack and that is doing no one any good.

This still does not change the fact the Iraq battle plan is stupid beyond compare and will change the outcome of the larger war against Islamic jihad. They plot in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia yet we have no troops doing silly street patrols there.

China and Russia have their own muslim problems to deal with (now or in the future).
Do you really think if we leave Iraq that Alaska will be invaded by Muslim hordes? There is a better chance that G.W. and his various "friends" will let in those muslim hordes giving them visas and a free education.

For a place to be staging area it has to be secure for you to mass forces. Iraq is anything but stable and never has been without a "Stalin like" strong man running it. It won't be stable for us and it won't be for the jihadist either. The place is too divided for anything...
