SARAJEVO, June 18 (Reuters) - A Bosnian appeals court on Monday halved the jail terms for a Swede, a Turk and a Bosnian convicted of planning a suicide attack in Europe to try to force European troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan.The sentence of Mirsad Bektasevic, 19, a Swede of Bosnian heritage, was cut to eight years and four months; that of Denmark-based Turk Abdulkadir Cesur, 21, to six years and six months and that of Bosnian Bajro Ikanovic, 29, to four years.
The court also reduced the sentence of a Bosnian Muslim accomplice, Senad Hasanovic, to six months.
Bektasevic, who was born in Serbia, and Cesur came to Bosnia in 2005 to plan the attack. They were arrested with Ikanovic in October 2005 in Sarajevo. Police found explosives, weapons and a video which showed how to make a bomb.
Police also found a will in the apartment of Bektasevic in which he left 500,000 Swedish krona ($71,030) to relatives and to a branch of the al Qaeda network....
In a case that media speculate is connected, four Muslims in Denmark were arrested shortly after the Sarajevo arrests, and one of them was found guilty of planning an attack in Europe.

As long as US administration supports Bosnian muslims in their strife to make unitary muslim republic Bosnia, based on a vision of their late president Izetbegovic, this kind of stuff will perpetuate.
All know that Balkans muslims are linked with al Qaeda and Iran, all know that their political structures finance terrorists under excuse of helping "war veterans" (hunderts of foreign mujahedins who had taken Bosnian citizenship during and after war - even Osama got Bosnian passport) - and that money is provided from the West to rebuild "war-torn society"... Still noone even doesn't want to talk about it, let alone make something against it.

Every day you delay the inevetable, price will be higher, both for you and for Balkans and European Christians. You (Republicans) don't owe anything to Clinton and Albright. Naser Oric, infamous comander of Bosnian muslim forces in Srebrenica, whose attrocities against civilians around Srebrenica during war period of 1992-95 (some 3500 Serbian civilians have been tortured and slotered in worst mujahedin manner in that 3 years) triggered well known Serbian retaliation (which is called genocide), has been sentenced on 2 (that's TWO!!!!) years in prison by Hague based International Tribunal for war crimes in former Yugoslavia, and has been released, because his trial lasted longer than 2 years...
Last week he appered in Srebrenica to support idea of excluding Srebrenica from Republika Srpska (Serbian autonomy within Bosnia).
Sitting here in Belgrade, watching what's going on in Balkans, and being Westerner and antijihadist myself, frustrates me and ashames me tremendously.

"RIYADH, Saudi Arabia -- A Saudi telethon raised more than $92-million for the Palestinians by late Friday.
Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, a billionaire investor, donated $27-million to the government-organized fundraiser. In October, he presented $10-million to a fund for Sept. 11 victims, but New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani refused the money after Alwaleed urged the United States to re-examine its Mideast policies.
In a statement Friday, Alwaleed said half his telethon pledge would help rebuild Palestinian infrastructure destroyed by Israeli forces, while the rest would be donated in the form of goods, including 100 vehicles and clothing.
The telethon, broadcast live by local and Saudi-owned satellite channels and expected to continue today, was ordered by King Fahd to help relatives of Palestinian "martyrs" -- a term that has been used by the Palestinians to include suicide bombers.
The Saudi government insisted the term referred not to suicide bombers but to "Palestinians who are victimized by Israeli terror and violence."

The reason I got angry at jewdog a week ago was not his ant-Palestinian comment. I am anti-Palestinian myself. Not sure whether you're still reading this, but my suggestion about aiding the Uygars against China was to drive home a point to Beijing, namely that supporting Jihadis to undermine one's enemy is a game two can play, and that China's support to the Jihad (their weapons surfacing in Iraq and Afghanistan is one thing, their solidarity with Pakistan is another) is something that can be programmed to backfire. Other than that, I have no more sympathy for Uygars than I have for Chechens, Albanians, Bosniaks, Palis, Pakis, or any other Jihadis.
Bottom line - the idea here isn't to get the Jihadis to like us. It's to read Beijing the riot act in one of the few ways they're likely to understand.

We are not in a position to "drive a point" to China this way. Even during the Cold War, China was not kin to aid jihadis, preferring to limit its involvement in the Middle East, and giving only political and propaganda support to the Arabs, careful not to do any more that that they thought they had to do to maintain good relations with them. And since, they have been moving in the right direction, although at a glacial pace, restoring relations with Israel, aiding the US right after 9/11, helping catch the infamous "Portland Seven" who traveled through China and sought to cross into Afghanistan to join jihad against the Americans. This is despite the insane anti-China hysteria that very year, which was interrupted only by 9/11. The US did not reciprocate, applying a double standard to China. It treated Uighur al-Qaida jihadists who were captured by the Northern Alliance while fighting against us with kid gloves, refusing China's requests for extradition, finally letting them loose. China takes this incident dead seriously, especially because it is part of a pattern. A strategy by the West is now coming into the open to embrace the Global Jihad and redirect it against both Russia and China. The obscene Tom Lantos with his infamous public plea to the world's jihadists for an alliance against "others" spoke for that unholy crowd. In order to achieve this unholy alliance, the unholy crowd is apparently eager to sacrifice the entire secular, anti-jihad former Soviet Central Asia to the jihadists, helping them to conquer it and establish an Islamic Califate in its place, expecting it to press jihad against both Russia and China, with the West providing weapons. Thus, our grand strategists hope to "waste" all 3 entities against each other and then move onto the vacant territory. This is why they engineered the "color revolution" in Kyrgyzstan, overthrowing Askar Akayev, the kindest and gentlest of the apparatchiks, and the friendliest to the US.
