Fatah: Israel to blame for Gaza civil war

Who else?

"Fatah blame Israel for the escalating security chaos in the Gaza Strip," from Maan News Agency:

Bethlehem - Ma'an – The Fatah movement on Wednesday accused Israel of propelling the Palestinians into the current state of security chaos.

Spokesperson for the movement in the West Bank, Dr. Jamal Nazzal, told the Italian Radiotelevisione Italiana, known as RAI, "Israel paved the way for the growth of the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, by destroying the PA [Palestinian Authority] departments and security forces' buildings between 2000 and the election to power of Hamas."

Nazzal also accused Israel of "following a policy which allows Hamas to prevail and that will close the door for peace, the peace which both Hamas and Israel are scared of."

False. Hamas is not "scared" of peace; they simply don't want it. Last I checked, the Hamas Charter still calls for the destruction of Israel.

He urged the international community exert pressure on Israel to cease its "bloody" interference in Palestinian affairs.

If Nazzal is referring to the Israeli transfer of arms to Fatah, then maybe he is right. Israel should stop its "bloody" interference.

"Israel has turned the situation on its head, by ignoring arms-smuggling into Gaza, which is aimed to weaken the PA, and combating the idea of peace," said Nazzal.

Israel has been prevented from stopping arms smuggling into Gaza. The Israelis were pressured into relinquishing the Philadelphi Route, which runs along the Gaza/Sinai border. Since then, dozens of tunnels have been dug in order to foster arms smuggling. Egypt has not helped the situation, turning a blind eye to the activity.

Nazzal also stated that "Israel has understood since the beginning that the best way to prevent the Palestinians from asserting control on the ground is to weaken the security bodies."

False again. Israel weakened the "security bodies," also known as terrorist organizations, in order to protect its civilians from terrorist attacks.

Fatah is grasping at straws, trying to save its neck. The Gaza Civil War is drawing to a close with a huge Hamas victory. The only way out for Fatah is to try to get Hamas to point its guns in a different direction.

The same old, same old blame game.

Is any one else getting a feeling of happiness, true enjoyment, almost to the point of laughing out loud, watching these idiots killing each other in greater numbers every day - fatah kills hamas - lebonese kills hezbolla - sunni kills shia - (please excuse spelling) kurds kill packs - taliban kills any of the above - all of this makes my day. Arm them all, stand back, watch the blood bath like it's saturday night wrestling, (they even supply their own masks and costumes) wait for the smoke to clear, kill who ever is left standing, and the world will be free of allah's poisonous reign.

...Or this is like watching two teen girls fighting it out on Youtube.com.

If a starship load of muslims travelled to the other side of the universe and colonized a planet in that region, it would only be a matter of time (very short) before they started killing one another. WHO YA GUNNA BLAME ? You get six guesses.

Like true junkies, someone else is always to blame. These Junkies of Allah live for bloodletting, retreat to their mosques, shoot up more hate inspired drugs and go back out for the killing.

It never ends for these people - the constant blaming of their favorite bogeyman. I am sick of these people and their very presence in this world. Enough already!

Israel didn't elect Hamas to lead the Gazans. They did that all on their own.

Israel didn't start the intifada.

I'm surprised Israel is not being blamed for "abandoning" Gaza and leaving it at the mercy of Hamas.

Hasn't Egypt closed its own border with Gaza?

"Israel has turned the situation on its head, by ignoring arms-smuggling into Gaza, which is aimed to weaken the PA, and combating the idea of peace," said Nazzal.

Wasn't the Sinai returned to Egypt two decades ago? How is Israel responsible for what happens on the Egyptian border, now that Israel is no longer "occupying" Gaza? (The expressed aim of every Palestinian and Arab leader?)

Let this be a lesson to Muslims: be careful what you wish for. You just might get it.

Coming from Fatah anything else than blaming the jews would have been a surprise, but who would have expected it from the so-called foreign minister of Norway, Mr Jonas Gahr Støre? According to the web pages of the Norwegian public broadcasting company NRK, this traitor of Western civilization holds the same opinion as Fatah: it's Israel's fault.

Israel gave them the freedom and room to kill one another.

How heartless!

Hysterically funny...and pathetic!

I can see it now...visualize neighbors in a knock-down, drag-out brawl...you refuse to get involved because they both hate the ground you walked on, so you wish them a long and healthy war.
As one loses the fight, the loser blurts out as he's pointing to the non-involved:

"It's all...YOUR FAULT!"

Puh-LEASE!
LMAO

ISLAM: the religion of "EVERYONES DOIN WRONG BY US" C.A.I.R. to comment?
