Cardinal Karl Lehmann, Bishop of Mainz, wants to exercise a bit of reciprocity. Since there are now so many mosques all over Europe, he wants to celebrate Mass in Saudi Arabia. And why not? Because, of course, tolerance and respect for other religions is a one-way-street.

Meanwhile, 2,000 people screamed "Allahu Akbar" triumphantly in the middle of Boston as the minaret was uncapped for the new, dominating Mosque, which should have a plaque to Mayor Menino, who looked with such favor on its building, and possibly some tribute to the Taxpayers of Boston, without whose ignorance and gullibility, in allowing city-owned land to be sold at a tenth or so of its market value, and made a "deal" by which local Muslims would "contribute," in lieu of some payments, "lectures" on Islam open to the public at a local community college in Roxbury, and would also "donate" 2500 "books on Islam" - apparently, the makers of large wooden horses were on strike the week the deal was made, so the Islamic library and the smiling lecturers had to do.
Oh how I hope this Cardinal continues with this proposal and carries through with it until some formal response from Saudi Arabia is issued.
We know what the response will be and it will be great evidence against Islamic Supremacism. The response should be held up every time another mosque is proposed for construction as well as everytime another foot basin installation is requested in public institutions in any country.
Don't stop at demanding the "celebration of Mass" - demand construction of cathederals, churches, temples, etc. -where non-slaves of allah can plot the destruction from within of islam!

Those peaceful Muslims with their yelping "Allah is the greatest" are the stalking horse for the Jihadist Muslims. Plus many of their sons will hate America and become Jihadists and misfits as bad as the 2nd generation British Muslims. And if they believe Allah is the greatest this means they think my God is lower down. So even the "nice" Muslims are on the idiotic supremacist ego trip of of Islam and their false prophet Muhammad. The Islamic Society of Boston loses its libel case, and its reputation.

Pursuing a libel or slander suit has long been a dangerous enterprise. Oscar Wilde sued the father of his young lover Alfred Douglas for having referred to him as a "posing Somdomite" and wound up not only dropping his case but being tried, convicted and jailed for violating England's repressive laws banning homosexual conduct. Alger Hiss sued Whittaker Chambers for slander for accusing Hiss of being a member of the Communist Party with Chambers, and of illegally passing secret government documents to him for transmission to the Soviet Union. In the end, Hiss was jailed for perjury for having denied Chambers's claims before a grand jury.
More recently, British historian David Irving sued American scholar Deborah Lipstadt in England for having characterized him as a Holocaust denier and was ultimately so discredited in court that an English judge not only determined that he was indeed a Holocaust denier but an "antisemite" and "racist" as well.
On May 29 of this year, the potential vulnerability of a plaintiff that misuses the courts to sue for libel once again surfaced when the Islamic Society of Boston abandoned a libel action it had commenced against a number of Boston residents, a Boston newspaper and television station, and Steven Emerson, a recognized expert on terrorism and, in particular, extremist Islamic groups. In all, 17 defendants were named.
Those accused had publicly raised questions about a real estate transaction entered into between the Boston Redevelopment Authority and the Islamic Society, which transferred to the latter a plot of land in Boston, at a price well below market value, for the construction of a mosque and other facilities. The critics urged the Boston authorities to reconsider their decision to provide the land on such favorable terms (which included promised contributions to the community by the Islamic Society, such as holding lectures and offering other teaching about Islam) to an organization whose present or former leaders had close connections with or who had otherwise supported terrorist organizations.

Unfortunately we already know what the results will be. The Saudis will officially ignore him, the Muslim mobs will riot because of his "insult" to Islam, and the leftist media in Europe will condemn him as a bigot for "trying to cause discord" between Catholics and the religion of peace. I agree with Provoslavni - the Cardinal has pulled out a trump card that's tough to beat.
But it's not just Saudi Arabia. Let them try building churches in Pakistan, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Jordan, Sudan, Malaysia, et al. Let's see how well the governments in these countries react to it. We all know that under Shariah law, new Infidel places of worship can't be built, and old ones can't be repaired. So why Saudi Arabia, let them try doing it anywhere in dar-ul-Islam.
Then tell us what happens.

The Bishop of Mainz can partly understand the rejection of mosques by German citizens. He knows from discussions with Muslim communities that many mosques have been overrun by people with fundamentalist tendencies.
Christians must also summon up the "powerful force of self-criticism" in their discussions with other religions, reminded the chairman of the Evangelical Church of Germany, Bishop Wolfgang Huber of Berlin, to the audience of more than 3000 in Cologne. From the Holy War of the Old Testament to the Sermon on the Mount, the Bible was "the history of the distancing of God from violence," claimed the theologian. It is a "tragic path of Christendom" that it has been dragged back into that.
