Forgiving and forgetting is one thing, but honouring the man who has blood on his hands, sort of, because of what he did, I think is going a bit too far.”

Actually, I thought this Rushdie Knighthood situation would have grown more legs by now and become as widespread as the Danish Cartoons. Any reason why it hasn't? Every bleeding heart Muslim sympathizer needs to take a good look at this story.
Rushdie wrote a book that Muslims disagreed with. The Ayatollah Khomeini, (that paragon of virtue who back in 1979 reinstated the obscene practice of marrying nine year old girls to middle aged men,) sentenced him to death for "offending Islam". The Queen of England, who is not a Muslim, decided to knight Sir Rushdie. Now Muslims are working themselves into a lather and planning a bloodbath to demonstrate their displeasure, and then they plan to blame it all on Rushdie, because, why? Hello?
If people are still alive right now but the Muslims are planning to blame Rushdie for their deaths when they kill them later on today or tomorrow or this weekend then I think we can safely assume that the people doing the killing will be responsible for those other people's deaths and not Rushdie. I hate to state the obvious but it seems there are a lot of people out there missing this point. There is no way in you-know-where that Muslims can adopt Flip Wilson's mindset and get away with it, saying, "Salman Rushdie made me do it."
When my kids were teenagers and they talked back or told me to go to hell they got one warning of impending physical violence to their person if they didn't straighten up. When they told me they would call the cops and have me put in jail did I cower in fear and say, okay, okay, you can have your way? No, I told them I'd be happy to dial the number for them. Muslim cry babies need to be dealt with in the same way.
We cannot rearrange our entire lives for a system we do not believe in. We cannot stop doing good to others because someone in the Muslim world might not like it. The insanity has to stop, now.

After the Mohammed Cartoons in the Jyllands-Poston in September 2005 it took 2 weeks before around 3,500 Muslims in Denmark had a somewhat peaceful protest. In November, several European newspapers re-published the images, triggering more protests. The protest actually didn't began to ramp up until January of 2006, nearly 3 1/2 months later. and later that month a boycott of Danish goods began. Several countries withdrew their ambassadors to Denmark, and widespread protests, some of them violent, began. The protests continued in February. In Damascus, Syria, both the Norwegian embassy and a building containing the Danish, Danish, and Chilean embassies were stormed and set on fire by protesters. In Beirut, thousands of people protested on the streets, and the Danish General Consulate was stormed and set on fire. By March of 2006, at least 139 people died primarily during riots stemming from protests.

The supremacist delusions that are at the core of this belief-system make it pretty immune from logic. The truth is that many Muslims fear critical thought re their belief-system and must kill or subdue the thought. They have no choice. They know that critical thought re Islam will destroy Islam. They are under attack by thoughts and respond emotionally for that reason.
Not long ago (maybe a month) Michelle Malkin debated a very rotund Muslim on Fox. The guy must weigh at least 400 lbs and he looked like the Ed-209 from the movie Robocop. The Ed-209 just kept talking and talking and talking and would not permit Michelle to get in a word in, nor would he answer her questions. He was really offensive. He was at war with her thoughtful manner-at war with her thoughts.

For all of you interested by the way the Queen has very little to do with who gets on the honors list. That is the Prime Ministers job or was, she certainly has some input but how much I don't know, and I am certain she will have discussed it with the Prime Minister at there weekly meetings. What interests me is why he has done this, give Rushdie a Knighthood. Blair must have known that this action would get the followers of the religion of peace frothing at the mouth, not that I mind him doing that, the more they rant the more contempt the west has for them. He wouldn't have done this without a good reason and I don't think it has been done to make things difficult for Gordon Brown. The only conclusion I can come too is that he wants a distraction so that he can sign the piece of paper in peace that Germans have cooked up to get round the impasse caused by the rejection of the E.U. constitution. By the Dutch and the French a couple of years ago, a sort of E.U. constitution Lite. I will be following things very closely in the next few weeks for I think this is going to run for a few weeks more. I am also looking forward to Friday to see what the muslims do when they come out of there mosques. I think this might be very interesting. The only other problem I see is that it will cause some loon to try another tube outrage or whatever. It is going to happen anyway it is just a matter of when.

Burning anyone or anything in effigy is not unlike neo-Pagan practices, wherein what one wants to get rid of, or whom one wants to harm is destroyed or injured by destroying or injuring a symbolic article. A poppet would be an example.

Which opens up the question: how are we to know he wasn't deceived twice? Or 6666 times (the number of verses in the Koran)?

I know. You are absolutely right. I would want to know. I can't even imagine not questioning things, no matter how many teenaged girls these guys kill to terrorize the rest of the population into silence. But like ping pong balls under water, it's got to come up when they roll over at night, right before they go to sleep, when our minds go over the events of the day.
