NYC Airport Bomb Plot Leads To 3 Arrests

There has been no information released yet on the identities and motives of these terror plotters. By posting this I am not saying that they are Islamic jihadists. I am only posting this, in fact, to note something in the nether paragraphs of this CBS story (thanks to NM) about the plot.

(CBS) NEW YORK Three people were arrested and one other was being sought in connection to a plan to set off explosives in a fuel line that feeds John F. Kennedy International Airport and runs through residential neighborhoods, officials close to the investigation said.
The plot, which never got past the planning stages, did not involve airplanes or passenger terminals, according to the two officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because details of the arrests had not yet been announced.

Details were to be given out at a 1 p.m. ET news conference.

The arrests mark the latest in a series of homegrown terrorism plots that targeted high-profile Amerian landmarks.

A year ago, seven men were arrested in what officials called the early stages of a plot to blow up the Sears Tower in Chicago and destroy FBI offices and other buildings. A month later, authorities broke up a plot to bomb underwater New York City train tunnels to flood lower Manhattan.

And six people were arrested a month ago in a plot to unleash a bloody rampage on Fort Dix in New Jersey.

"Seven men," a "plot," and "six people." What did all three of those plots have in common? Yes, that's right, you'll never believe this, but they were all...Islamic jihad plots. Imagine that! Yet you would get no hint of that from this story. No, it was all the work of "men," and "people." And those "people" were probably all males also. I trust that the relevant law enforcement officials are stepping up their anti-male efforts now, so that we don't keep on seeing these kinds of plots.

Well, one is Abdul, a member of the Guyana parliament arrested in Trinidad and what appears to be a convert to Islam, Russel Frates known to his friends as, guess, Mohammad. The missing fourth is supposed to be in Guyana.

According to sources, the suspects have been identified as: Russell Defreitas, Abdul Nur, Kareem Ibrihim and Abdul Kadir.

Sources said a cargo worker at JFK allegedly began to plot attacking the US last July or August. The cargo worker sought help in carrying out a plan and went to an FBI informant, who gathered information about the plot.

The cargo worker is a U.S. citizen with roots in Guyana. Sources said he be a former government official in Guyana.

Look like Muslim names to me!

I just lodged a Complaint at the Salt Lake City news station in the link above objecting to the non-descript words "men" and "people" when in fact they KNOW they are MUSLIMS.

It's unbelievable they use the word "people" for the Fort Dix comment. Unbelievable!

Some may be questioning the Pew Poll or think this calls into doubt the Pew Poll.

Don't worry about the Pew Poll. These men were not in the sample willing to say they were against al Qaeda and terrorism for 50 dollars, they were in the group that stopped answering the Pew Poll in the middle when the terrorism questions started and Pew only paid 25 dollars.

They are indeed muslims. They are al Qaeda sympathisers and they have a weird islam name for their group. This group is coming from a heavily oil area and in the Caribbean. One man is still not captured and we are working with Guyana to get him.

One of the plotters was a security person at the airport.

darcy, yeah - I do the same thing when I hear that sort of inane nonsense from them to cover up the fact that they are muslims. I also have been contacting our governor about the UC system in California letting wahabbi muslims spread their propaganda in UCLA, or the muslims spreading the outright hatred of Jews at UCIrvine. disgusting displays.

We have to become activists in our own ways - or we will just become like what every other country who have an influx of muslims that only become cesspools of muslim violence.

Brand me a conspiracy theorist if you will, but I think that the US government has applied pressure on the media and law enforcement to downplay Muslim connections. The US government has no real intention of fighting jihad. To do so would endanger America's oil supply.

CNN had someone on saying it was unusual not to have a news conference from the government to announce this. It must have been a real danger for them to arrest them while the immigration bill is being debated and President Bush is out calling people bigots for opposing his bill.

No doubt, these muslim freedom fighters were pushed to do this. There is a war against islam, in case you don't know. Some people have objected to foot baths being placed in public buildings if you can believe that. In fact, it is my understanding that pork is still for sale in the West and being sold in the same stores that muslim visit. If that isn't provocation, then what is it? You can't expect a god-fearing muslim to let that slide. Those people can only take so much abuse.

This is a sign of things to come. Law inforcement can't get them all prior jihad in the US or elsewhere. A trend is beginning to appear here. Many will be saying "I told you so".

The American public will eventually turn on Muslims in America en masse if any more of this sh*t comes to light.

If goups like CAIR don't start working IN EARNEST, very visibly and very vocally, against jihad in America, instead of thinking muslims will be accepted as victims, they will be truly and sorely mistaken.

The US has every right to take all measures necessary to protect its citizens and should do so without delay.

My wife and I were watching CNN and heard that also. Needless to say, this has caused a minor debate. I don't think that is the reason why JFK was targeted, and it detracts from the Islamic issue. My wife takes the other side.

Did you also notice that one of the female, "experts" says in effect, "obviously you don't want to profile Muslims when hiring them for Airport jobs."

What kind of P.C. craziness is that? Yes, Muslims SHOULD be profiled!!!

Trinidad and Guyana. It should be no surprise that the would be murderers out of those two hell-holes, with the Islam Infection Rates in those two places at 5% and 10%, respectively.

Note that no Caribbean Christians or Hindus from Trinidad or Guyana were up at JFK airport plotting mass murder.

I wonder what the conversion rate will be among the aboriginal American pools? Looking at the Mosquito, Inca, Aztec, and Maya, how will they turn? This is an important question, cuz that group is just now being set up to become predominant in the USA, and that eventuality would seem to require merging forces with Islam.

People accused Clinton of manufacturing security threats when impeachment was nigh (such as bombing Iraq and Sudan) in order to change the subject.

At first I thought Bush was doing something similar. They've been following this investigation since early last year and now it's being made public? But all this does is make Bush's dream of immigration "reform" less likely.

Trying to convince people we need to make getting into the US easier for Latin Americans (the prime focus of Bush's energies) just got harder. It's what makes his obsession with Teddy Kennedy's idea of "immigration reform" just so incomprehensible. Every attack (planned or carried out) makes Americans more wary, not less.

Bigot? Maybe in Lindsey Graham's eyes, but he'll be sorry for what he's doing. He's up for reelection next year.

look the media is far so left and biased, nothing that Bush would tell them not to say would make a dent in what they dont report. its the media's leftist bias that prevents them from reporting the whole truth.
as far as attack JFK, you might remember the other Kennedy was was killed "Robert" said he would defend the Jews, and that is what most likely caused him to be killed.
