Officials: Twelve jihadists, including foreigners, killed in fighting, U.S. destroyer strike on Somalia

From "America, Britain, Sweden, Morocco, Pakistan and Yemen."

"Twelve Islamists, including foreigners, killed in Somali attack," from Agence France-Presse:

MOGADISHU (AFP) - At least 12 Islamist fighters, including foreigners, were killed in US naval shelling and fighting with forces from the semi-autonomous Somali region of Puntland, officials said Sunday.
Puntland Finance Minister Mohamed Ali Yusuf said the region's forces crushed the Islamist fighters in mountainous ranges around Bargal town, about 1,250 kilometres (780 miles) northeast of the Somali capital Mogadishu, before a US Navy warship fired into the area.
"Their bodies are lying in the mountainous area and we hope to show them to the media. They (Islamists) have lost in the battle and we killed 12 of them," said a Puntland military commander who requested anonymity.
[...]
Citing documents recovered, Yusuf said the foreign "terrorists (were) from America, Britain, Sweden, Morocco, Pakistan and Yemen."
There was no independent confirmation of the claims on the deaths of the foreigners who arrived in Bargal on Wednesday.

Not surprisingly, the jihadists denied any casualties in the aftermath of the strike. In this Reuters report, a Somali jihadist group insists:

"American planes carried out random attacks without causing any losses among the mujahideen, praise to God..."

If the fighter planes attacked, I am sure someone died....

I'm grateful and glad they got the American Muslim terrorist. That is was less Muslim in this country. Now if we could just deport or kill the rest.

In time it will become necessary. Just a matter of time.

lol@ the terrorists comments...
...as if they're going to admit to getting their @$$es kicked.
They got hurt, they know it...lest they not bother going to lengths saying the opposite. Had nothing been accomplised by us, no commeny would've been made at all by them (common M.O. of theirs)

(you're right on that point, too, FLlegal...that's only a matter of time, too)

bravo zulu Navy!

this story seems to have disappeared from the news. does the american media want to know the name of the american killed in this camp ? has anyone seen a story about him anywhere? they found his passport
