British police have a "crystal clear" picture of the man who drove the bomb-rigged silver Mercedes outside a London nightclub, and officials tell the Blotter on ABCNews.com he bears "a close resemblance" to a man arrested by police in connection with another bomb plot but released for lack of evidence.
Officials say the suspect had been taken into custody in connection with the case of al Qaeda operative Dhiren Barot, who was convicted of orchestrating a vehicle bomb plot involving targets in London, New York, Newark, N.J. and Washington, D.C.
Officials say a surveillance camera caught the suspect "staggering from the Mercedes" shortly after parking it outside the Tiger Tiger nightclub.
U.S. and British law enforcement officials tell ABC News it is increasingly clear Friday's bomb plot in London involves multliple vehicles, and is described by a senior official as a "terror plot involving lslamic extremists."
The car contained five or six propane and butane gas cylinders as well as 33 gallons of gasoline, all rigged to detonate with calls to two cell phones. Officials say the cell phones failed to initiate the explosions, even after each phone had been called twice.
My God, and they use "Islamic Extremists" in their description instead of terrorists? Where is the outrage? My sympathies for England have withered a bit as Islam TOLD them that they would attack....TOLD THEM! And now, thanks to some luck and the work of ordinary citizens a plot that would have killed maybe thousands has been thwarted. Islam immigration must stop NOW! You have quite a bit to learn. I agree with the thrust of what you say, 100%, the problem is this is 3-horse race. We have the Islamophobes, the Muslims and the Politically Correct Left-leaning Liberals. It is members of the 3rd group that run the Media and are Politicians in most Western countries. And the Muslims are masters at knowing how to push the Liberals buttons so that they get all kinds of goodies out of them.
It our job to remove the blinders from the Liberals. We have a hell of a job. There is not a single Western politican (John Howard, Nicolas Sarkozy comes close) who understands the true threat of Islam. We need to "work the media". Even lobby political parties. Fortunately the endless Jihad is causing even the most thickest liberal retard to wonder if there is a problem with Islam.
Tonight I heard our smooth-talking BBC endlessly analyse the bombs found in London. Not once did they mention Islam (although I sure everyone was thinking that).

You are right about the media, my local newspaper {uh, birdcage liner} will not print any of my letters if I mention Islam or Muslims in anything other than the "religion of peace" mantra and as for TV, Yes, they do everything to avoid using those names. It angers me to no end that as we expect the media to at least give the appearance of reporting real news they continue to placate themselves over their "PC" newscasts and "Diverse" viewpoints. Those who know the truth are spitting in the wind, me thinks....

So it is no wonder we are fed a diet of 'Religion of Peace' 'Disaffected Youths' 'Insurgents' etc etc etc. Sometimes when I watch the BBC and CNN News broadcasts I want to shout at the screen 'Muslims they are Muslims for Gods sake say it'. Deeply embeded in the Moonbat culture too is a very strong streak of anti-semitism and anti-Americanism. This is not a new phenomenon in the UK I can remember 'Palestinian Solidarity' groups and demonstrations when I was at Uni back in the 60's. Even events such as 7/7 don't open their eyes at all ask them and its all because of Iraq and Afghanistan and Abu Ghraib and Oil anything but the real answer Islam. Talk about cognitive dissonance they are masters of it.

The threat to tolerant NZ
I was surprised at a comment — "Some Muslims — not, it's to be hoped, in this country — " in an editorial (June 22).
Why should we believe that, just because they live here, New Zealand Muslims will behave any differently from those overseas? Surely your weekend item about New Zealand Muslims adding their voice to the anger over the knighthood of author Salman Rushdie only reinforces this doubt.
While in Britain, I watched as former home secretary Jack Straw was pilloried for asking Muslim women to remove their veils, so offending their culture, when visiting him in his constituency. Not once did I see a comment about Mr Straw's culture.
His, like mine, is a culture of face-to-face contact.
In spite of its claims to be a peaceful religion, Islam proves otherwise and shows its total intolerance of all other cultures with its demands for killing by suicide bombings, fatwa and beheadings at any excuse.
The greatest threat to the tolerant New Zealand we hold so precious is the likelihood of this intolerance being allowed, by our complacency, to obtain a foothold here. We ignore this threat at our peril if we choose to believe that this intolerance is unlikely to exist in New Zealand.
Rushdie honour pales into insignificance
It is so predictable that Javed Khan, on behalf of the Federation of Islamic Associations, adds its voice to the worldwide Islamic condemnation of the honour conferred on Salman Rushdie. He says the honour had inflicted emotional pain on Muslims.
All I can say is that it pales into pathetic insignificance alongside the emotional pain, terror, death, destruction, depravity and cowardly assault on innocence and decency inflicted on civilised people internationally by 9/11, Beslan, Ball, Moscow, Madrid, London, Munich and daily atrocities perpetrated in cities across the Middle East and Asia.
The man must think we are all stupid, blind and ignorant.
I repeat those names that are forever emblazoned as days of infamy on Islam and all Muslims: Lockerbie, September 11, the children of Beslan School, the Ball bombings, Madrid train bombs, Moscow theatre, London Underground bombs and the Munich Olympics.
The list is endless. Mr Khan and his friends have been silent. I'm not just offended, I am outraged. These people need to consider that the only people who can commit a heresy against a religion are those who belong to it because they are their laws, not ours.
A question for NZ Muslims
It happens quite regularly now — Muslims get angry and expect everyone else to bow to their rage (World, June 21). So we have "cartoon rage" or "Rushdie rage" erupting as if it is on tap.
Now New Zealand Muslims have joined the anger against author Salman Rushdie being knighted by Britain.
Javed Khan, of the NZ Federation of Islamic Associations (June 23-24), says Rushdie's book is blasphemous and has inflicted emotional pain on Muslims. So? What about the emotional pain and very real physical pain, suffering, and death that Muslims have heaped on others for the past 1400 years?
Does Mr Khan also agree with his fellows in rage that Rushdie be killed?
What's blasphemous about The Satanic Verses anyway? Is it that Sir Salman faces the fact that Mohammed made a strategic faux pas when he pulled down a revelation that rattled his followers because it contradicted other things he had said and that, because of their dissent, he conveniently backtracked by saying he'd been deceived by Satan?
But how did he know that, in this case, he had been deceived by Satan? Perhaps more to the point, how did he know that in all other cases he wasn't?

And is a car bomb that can kill hundreds of people whom you've never met the only way to deal with emotional pain? Such comments are meant to defuse anger felt by the targets of Muslim wrath but all they show is that Muslims cannot live with others and must be isolated, like a virus.
