I recently read that at Sandhurst Military Academy in the UK a lecturer told the would-be officers that Islam "abolished slavery in the countries where it was practiced."
Needless to say, the guy assigned to give the lectures was a Muslim.
Yet again we see an official version of Islam, promulgated by an institution you might have expected to be sensible, promoting a version of Islam which bears no relation to reality.
I just got a business-oriented call from a proud Swedish woman, who recently moved to the US. My last name is Swedish and the conversation turned to the old country. Volvos, Absolute, Saab, highly educated people, etc. I’d never talked with this woman before, but she broke into a tirade about the 7-8% Muslim population in Sweden.
Widespread unemployment, people won’t go out without a police escort in Malmo, bankrupting the country, on and on. She was angry. I didn’t bring up the subject, she did. She mentioned a new government structure that came into power a year or so ago with an agenda to get tough (anyone familiar with this?).
The call was just one small data point, but perhaps the premise of an endless European fountain of guilt is getting shaky.
I think I can almost twist my mind to understand (don't get me wrong - understanding and accepting poor and murderous behavior are two different things!) the muslim mind. And believe me - ya have ta be twisted!
Muslims don't look at their history as bloody, or violent, amoral, or anything like that. What they do is for allah, islam and their prophet.
Basically, for them to do whatever it takes to get the job done - making the world islamic - by following the koran and the words and actions of mohammed.
If you have to lie, cheat, steal, murder or do whatever - then do it to advance islam.
And they don't look at all of these things as necessarily bad things - if it gets the job done. And they have time, plenty of time. And if it means dying - so what?! They will be rewarded and all their earthly desires will be fulfilled.
To tell them that they need to treat women differently is like telling them they will have to go to hades - whatever a muslim hades is. They do not comprehend such things because their koran, and the words and actions of mohammed, tell them differently. To stop slavery is incomprehensible to them also - that is why the agreement that they had in the 1960s to stop that is not obeyed. Tell us one thing and do another - it is all in the koran. Booty is ok and so is slavery even if it is in the form of humans. mohammed did it and says it is ok - because allah told him it was ok. So, all is good and ok in the world - according to a muslim.
What you have to do is get down to basic animal instincts - back to the times when there was no thought of God, or morals, or anything such as that. It is basic survival and the meanest and biggest won.
And if you have a basic animal urge then you can fulfill it - especially concerning sexual desires. Children, slaves, 4 wives and if a wife or two piss you off - then divorce them, or kill them and say it was an 'honor killing' and get another one to do with as you wish. It is a man's world and women are there for them to use. Yes, there are some basic rules to obey - praying, a trip to the black stone, and some other few things. Even if you don't obey something - just say that you had to change your habit because an infidel was watching and you can get away with it if it wasn't a big, major rule like praying with the beads (or whatever they call that).
Odyessus, they really didn't abolish slavery, I suppose you could say they toned it down a little for a little while - but it is still going on.
They will tell us anything that we want to hear - and do whatever they want. To have an infidel tell them to do something that their koran, allah, and their prophet tells them to do, or have said it is ok to do, doesn't 'fly' for them.

Muslim's are the most materialistic people on the planet. The prime concern of every muslim, is to get himself into Allah's Paradise. To fall out of favor with Allah, is their biggest worry.
So what they do is for themselve's, they desire to gain Allah's heaven, even if they have to kill you to do it...

I think it is important to get history right. Jihad came to Christian pilgrims who were visiting the Holy Land long before a Crusade was declared by Europe. European pilgrims were cut down in the desert and looted by Jihadists. The Crusade was a response to Islamic terror.

Now now now you guys (triphammer and exsgtbrown), you both know that hollywierd came out with a movie about the Crusades and it is all the Christian's fault for everything - they were the aggressers and they were the murdering scumbuckets. What hollywierd puts out is the truth to so many people now a days since the schools today are controlled by the left. And to the left, history means twisting, lying and omitting of what really happened if it doesn't follow their agenda. And the kids would prefer the history lessons be full of hollyweirdo special effects who do not violate muslim's viewpoint of the world.
