In "The Pakistan Connection: The little-noticed arrests of three men allegedly planning U.S. attacks renews questions about the country’s tolerance of terrorists," Michael Isikoff and Mark Hosenball of Newsweek notice what we have extensively documented here: Pakistan's double game.
June 20, 2007 - The international media barely noticed when Pakistani authorities recently picked up three foreign jihadis, including two German passport holders, in the remote town of Taftan near the Iranian border. But the arrests are being taken seriously by Western intelligence agencies. The suspects were allegedly carrying sophisticated satellite phones and traveling through a lawless region known as a hotbed of Islamic radicalism. That and other circumstances have touched off an international investigation into the backgrounds and prior travel of the suspects. The chief concern is that the suspects may have been planning to cross into Iran on their way to Western Europe—or even the United States—to act as potential “muscle” in possible terror attacks, a European intelligence official tells NEWSWEEK. (The official asked not to be publicly identified talking about sensitive intelligence matters.)
Although little hard evidence about the intentions of the suspects has surfaced, the interest in the three alleged jihadis—one of whom hails from Kyrgyzstan—reflects mounting worries among Western intelligence officials about developments in Pakistan's border regions. It also underscores concerns among U.S. officials that potential terrorists could take advantage of loose travel rules for European citizens to enter the United States on tourist visas.
Just this week, the Western media began publicizing an inflammatory new jihadi video, made in the same region, that purports to show a “graduation ceremony” of 300 aspiring suicide bombers headed for the West. According to an account of the tape on the ABC News web site, the ceremony was staged on June 9 at a training camp alleged to be operated by the Taliban and Al Qaeda. The video, recorded by a Pakistani journalist, shows groups of about 150 masked men—supposedly suicide bombers assigned to conduct attacks in Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States. Some of the would-be bombers were speaking English. Emceeing the graduation ceremony was a Taliban commander named Mansoor Dadullah—allegedly the brother of Mullah Dadullah, a senior Taliban commander whose brother was killed by U.S. forces in May.
Read it all.
Why weren't intelligence agencies aware of this "graduation ceremony" of jihad suicide bombers, and why wasn't a suitable bomb dropped on the site during the graduation, speeding these martyrdom seekers to their desired reward?
And wouldn't it be nice to know whether or not these three arrestees were part of the graduation ceremony! Come on intel--get with the program (though it is nice that these three were in fact caught, but how many others have slipped out already?)

"There's nothing to see here, now move along, nothing at all to worry about," he added.
We're just going to have to ban single muslim men from entering this country, no matter what the hell passport they hold. I'm really tiring of the "our hands our tied - another attack is inevitable" crap.
"Pakistani authorities recently picked up three foreign jihadis, including two German passport holders"
.......hmmmmm, the Muslim Brotherhood whom the government is cozying up to, runs several "Muslim Student" organizations and "Muslim religious" centers in Germany....
...the first dot goes here., the second dot goes here. and the third dot goes here...
...I do not work for any government intelligence agency ...but connecting the dots seems easy to me....
...It does not take a rocket scientist to review the history of the Muslim Brotherhood....(for those who are uninformed...The Muslim Brotherhood has a violent past, has sponsored terrorism and terrorists, and has produced some of the most violent terrorist leaders....
....Ban Muslim Immigration....
ExSgtBrown, I agree. Ban them all from coming here. That's the only sane conclusion that I come to. No more muslim immigration. End student visas for them too. This is the cheapest and most sensible solution to terrorism on our shores.
How do we say in diplomatic language that we need a time out from these friggin' people?
Everyone says another terror attack will sooner or later happen in the US. Of course it will- leaving the doors wide open invites it to happen. How damn hard would it REALLY be to implement the ideas other posters have mentioned here? Not very, I would think-it's just a matter of will on the part of our spineless, useless, grovel to Islamania at all costs "leaders". When that next attack does happen I hope it wipes out these jihadist enablers rather than a bunch of innocent people like 9/11 did. Maybe then our gutless politicians will finally act sensibly.
The Germans arrested are Muslim converts trained for suicide missions. Germany is under high alert as intel coming in is now at the pre-9/11 level. It's my feeling they're planning to attack our bases in Germany.
Another unusual thing....my friend works for a publishing company in Ohio and employees there recently received a letter instructing them what to do in case of a terror attack. Here in Palm Beach County they are seeking volunteers to act as first responders in case of a bioterror attack. My thoughts are why now are officials doing this 6 years after 9/11? Something must be in the works and they don't want to alert the public until they know for certain something is coming our way.
