"We are working closely with the police to deal with a number of sensitive issues being raised by members of the community and will be working together with other interested parties to consider the wider and longer term implications for the city." I hope they will consider those implications to the fullest possible extent.
"Police guard girl 'forced to become Muslim,'" by Mark Cowan for the Birmingham Mail (thanks to all who sent this in):
A TEENAGE Sikh girl was today being guarded by police amid claims she had been forced to convert to Islam. An armed gang smashed their way into a house in Erdington last month and threatened the occupants, apparently in search of the girl.
She was reported missing from her family home in West Bromwich a few days earlier.
They are concerned that the girl, understood to be a student at Sutton Coldfield college, could have been forced to switch religion, it was reported.
"This lady has been located and is currently in the care of West Midlands Police," a force spokesman said.
"We would like to reassure the community that this lady is safe and well."...
"We are conducting inquiries into the motive for this attack," the spokesman said.
"We are not ruling the possibility this may be linked to a report received concerning the whereabouts of an 18-year-old female from West Bromwich, who was reported missing by her family."
He added: "Her family are clearly concerned about her welfare as are the wider communities.."
A spokesman for Birmingham City Council said: "We are working closely with the police to deal with a number of sensitive issues being raised by members of the community and will be working together with other interested parties to consider the wider and longer term implications for the city."
Sikhs are part Islam , A slightly more flammable strain withthe hair and underwear.
Sikhs part Islam? They hate each other!
Back in England there were running battles between the two.
Please get your facts right.
"We are conducting inquiries into the motive for this attack," the spokesman said."
Absolute psychobabble. If the police understand the reason for the attack that will solve the crime?
Time to profile the perps. Big clue...ISLAM.
Someone should direct the West Midlands PD to this site to begin their 'understanding' of the motives of the guilty.
forced Islamic conversion is a known fact...
...kidnapping to carryout the forced Islamic conversion shows the desparation of the Islamic faith...
...Kidnapping females to carryout the forced Islamic conversion indicates there may have been a sex motive as well...which clearly shows the Muslims are desparate sex crazed paranoid Religious zealots....
...you do not want these people in your neighborhood...
Since the command that "there is no compulsion in religion" (Qur'an 2:256) only applies to Muslims, they interpret it to mean that they cannot be forced to change their religion, but are perfectly justified to force their beliefs on non- Muslims.
Is this happening in England or Pakistan? Or is there much of a difference nowadays?
"Is this happening in England or Pakistan? Or is there much of a difference nowadays?"
There's a vast difference. But let's not allow simple objective facts to spoil your party.
the uk will be an islamic nation in the next few decades. no has any balls left in eurabia to stop them, its too "un pc" to even think about muslims badly.
and guess what the 2nd most popular given name for baby boys is in the UK, a country with an anglo saxon population of 40 some million.
is it peter? no, is it paul? no,how about john? no silly, it's mohammed!
how in 50 years did mohammed become the 2nd most popular name amongst a once proud people?
"Is this happening in England or Pakistan? Or is there much of a difference nowadays?"
sadly the british have lost their appetite for defending their country. sad really. but you are correct, many parts of "england" now resemble pakistan and are no go zones for whites, and especially non muslims from all ethnic backgrounds.
but hey, bonnie prince charlie will soon be king and he can help ease your move from the church of england to islam.
i can see american troops bailing out britian again in a few decades.
how tiresome.
Ha ha. Multiculturalism sucks so bad. Give me the 'rights of man' and western respect for the indivdual any day. Kidnaping and forced convertion is a crime agaist humanity.
The Multiculturalist sees it as a "sensitive issue" among "interested parties". You see the Muslim youth can justify gang rape better if thay convert the victim. The family and greater community need to be sensittive to this point of view.

Not nearly as evil as Bahai , You get your facts straight. who arent the muslim hating and wanting to kill?
http://www.bci.org/islam-bahai/BahaisIslam.htm
Let's see - forced conversion okay if you are converting someone to Islam.
Not okay if someone is a Muslim and decides (of their own free will) to convert to any other religion. In fact it is sharia law to kill them.
I sense a double standard.........
One of these days, I'm going to wander into one of these threads and maybe, just maybe, there will be a reasoned, objective and constructive discussion pertaining to the matter at hand and nothing else.
Instead of the utter bollocks of wide ranging and generalised assertions in support of completely ambiguous theories that I generally have to dig through to find the true gems of rational thought.
I hate having to look for diamonds amongst the dross.
@Wishbone
I wish you could tell us mere mortals WTF this is supposed to mean:
"Instead of the utter bollocks of wide ranging and generalised assertions in support of completely ambiguous theories that I generally have to dig through to find the true gems of rational thought."
boner, your statement doth appear more of a turd than a diamond.
"boner, your statement doth appear more of a turd than a diamond."
To which I can only reply that you knew full bloody well what I meant, mate.
Do you realise just how frustrating it is to read statements that assert, as fact, that which ranges from the patently untrue to the deranged and fantastic where Britain is concerned?
Does no-one think with their head anymore, rather than with whatever particular bias they hold?.
Britain is becoming Pakistan.
By the cross of Saint George... this has got to stop.
I rest my case.
Wishbone said
I sympathize with your sensitivity regarding the state of the UK. But realize we Yanks are also criticizing the U.S. too. Arguably, no nation has recognized the problem of jihad. I agree it is hard to debate a statement like "Britain is becoming Pakistan", but just give a few factual examples of how that is patently untrue, and leave it at that. Or just ignore it. And recognize that there are things that need to be changed, in the UK and USA and everywhere else.
I mean, the point of the story is that Muslims have allegedly begun kidnapping girls in the UK and forcing them to convert to Islam.
That's not good.

Inter-faith relations
In an Islamic London, Christians and Jews – with their allegiance to the Bible and the Talmud – would be protected as ‘peoples of the book’. Hindus and Sikhs manage to live alongside a large Muslim population in India, so why not here? Although England has a long tradition of religious bigotry against, for instance, Roman Catholics, it is reasonable to assume that under the guiding hand of Islam a civilised accommodation could be made among faith groups in London. This welcoming stance already exists in the capital in the form of the City Circle (see Yahya Birt interview), which encourages inter-faith dialogue and open discussion.

Wishbone - you don't see debating points in:
Britain is becoming Pakistan.
By the cross of Saint George... this has got to stop.
Special_guest-
I appreciate what you're saying there mate, but let me clarify something for you: I'm not 'sensitive' about the state of the UK. Regardless of the myriad perceptions of how far down the toilet this country may be from people outside looking in, I like to think that I do know the character of my people well. I don't mean the celebrities, politicians, media pundits, pseudo-journalists and all the attendant whackos between them that are daily paraded in our media. I mean Joe and Josephihne Public, the 'Base, common and popular', regular Brits who are entirely unrepresented by the other lot. These people, I have faith in. These are the people that will lift the lid off the whole damn mess if things go too far
Also, criticism is something I have no problem with. As long as it's directed at the issue or the relevant characters that make the issue. My frustration is not born of my 'sensitivity' to criticism of real issues, or the actuality of those issue. It comes from having to say the same bloody thing, again and again, to people who should know better: If you're going to criticise or make a statement about something, then do so constructively, objectively and be fully prepared to qualify such with facts or, at the very least, workable theories that stimulate further introspection.
I understand that some statements are nigh on impossible to debate and, as such, I have to wonder what the point of making such a statement would be. Be that as it may, when I see this sort of thing, I do tend to challenge it more often than not these days. If not to correct what may be an innocent assumption, then at the very least to let whoever is making that statement know that elected ignorance will not go uncommented upon.
In short: If someone's acting like a prat, I'm probably going to tell them so.
;-)
A_Plague_on_Both_Houses-
Maybe I missed the irony in the 'By the cross of Saint George... this has got to stop' bit and, if so, my apologies.
But to answer your question, no I don't see the debating point at all. What I see is blind assertion with nothing to qualify it.
When reading articles whereby the focus is on events on the US side of the pond, should I feel I need the perspective of someone closer to those events so I can formulate some manner of thought on the matter, then I will simply ask and, more often than not, people are kind and knowledgeable enough to provide links and sources for further reading into the subject should the simple answer bear such further interest.
I don't make silly statements because I can't be arsed addressing the wider issues involved and it simply makes me feel good to throw out a one liner just to keep my hand in on the threads.
"We are conducting inquiries into the motive for this attack"
The motive? To prove they can terrorize who they want, when they want, where they want. To force a non-Muslim into "submission". And now that she's been forcibly "converted", she's not safe anywhere since these thugs would happily kill her for apostasy.
Blackburn Lanchestershire
That should be Blackburn, Lancashire :)
The news is that since there are more than 4000 Muslims there, then more than 4000 arseholes point north-west at praying time.
As I've mentioned on JW quite a few times now, the current UK Government was elected by just 21.6% of eligible voters. So when posters refer to the "British" in a derogatory or pitying manner, please be aware that the majority of us do not share the establishment's dhimmitude and we wish [yank-mode] they'd get the hell outta there.[/yank-mode]
@Wishbone
Sorry for my rudeness. I sympathize with your complaint.
Wishbone... maybe I was being a little too flippant with my Cross of St. George remark. My apologies. The last thing I want to do is place a barrier between myself and concerned people in Britain. Also, please accept my apologies on the misspelling of Lancashire. I'm in a hurry and don't check details in spelling among other things.
But please do consider the correlation between Muslims polled on British soil and those polled in Pakistan, Jordan and Morrocco.
Attitudes lead to actions. Muslims in Britain have strongly anti-western attitudes. If you need a link to the Pew report it's here:
http://pewresearch.org/assets/pdf/muslim-americans.pdf
questions and data without interpretation begin on page 80... comparable percentages from Britain, Europe and Islamic nations as well.
watling... thanks for being a good sport. To wishbone ( and watling and all others) I do apologize if I become tedious to read. That is not my intention. I will take subtle suggestions on my content under advisement.
As to the cure for "sex-starved Muslim youths" forcing "conversion to Islam" cum rape on un-Moslem females:
http://islamic-danger.blogspot.com/2007/04/disease-muslim-males-raping-non-muslim.html
"I like to think that I do know the character of my people well"
all i heard from "my" people after secretaries laid out in hospitals dying with limbs blown off after 7/7 was, "this is the fault of bush/blair". "the US is full of religious bigots". no one seemed to point the finger at muslims, maybe behind closed doors in hushed voices.
i also know my people only too well, and they are scared of a vocal, aggressive minority islamic population, and this has got to stop!
leonthepigfarmer,
if any of your people (also my people) were to try and put a dent into the "vocal, aggressive minority islamic population," the government, its law enforcement (police and military) would spring to the defense of the moslems and track down those who tried to put a stop to moslem crimes against non-moslems for jihad reasons.
What we have is: Government + Moslems vs. the people (excluding from "the people" all moslem "immigrants," "asylum seekers," etc.)
Ynkedoodl2 + A_Plague_on_Both_Houses
No apologies necessary lads, but very gracious of you both nonetheless, so my thanks. Certainly none required for any misspellings. Where I'm from, we mostly call that lot from Lancashire 'Woollybacks' so misspell that all you like ;-)
A_Plague_on_Both_Houses-
I have seen those figures and it points to the UK having an almighty problem in the attitudes of 'British' Muslims' towards the West and their host country in particular. That Muslim proponents of these views by the percentages seem to add up in their hundreds of thousands, one has to wonder what percentage of them could be classed in the 'extremely dangerous' category. By that I mean degrees of risk that range from active military, civilian or infrastructure targeted terrorist operations all the way down to providing succour and support for anyone involved with the planning or commission of such.
Even given the total lack of empirical, mathematical figures to work with, if you just made the roughest of guesses in order to have the slightest grasp of the actual numbers we're looking for, you could be reasonably assured that it adds up to somewhere in the region of 'A bloody great lot of them'.
I believe it's a lot more than our government believes there are, and that's a scary thought. The good thing is that their threats and nonsense haven't gone unnoticed by average Joe. The frothing beards in this country have had a lot of airtime lately and every time they appear on that screen spouting their crap, Joe is sitting in his multiple millions taking it all in and then turning to his missus, partner, brother, whatever. Then he's saying something along the lines of "Somebody should kick f*** out of that fella and tell him if he doesn't like it, he can f*** off somewhere else / back where he came from". Admittedly, not the most eloquent usage of the English language, but the same thing will be uttered in many accents and dialects.
Now a lot of what non-Brits read of what's going on in Britain mainly comes from the nationally distributed news outlets, but we have a massive, thriving network of regionals and locals too. You may have seen some of them before. If, over a little time, you get used to scanning through these outlets, you build up a bit of a nastier picture that all is not well with the natives. There have been incidents, up and down the country, a lot of them that in principle I wouldn't condone. However these incidents are a 'fact' and very much indicative of what's going on at the grass roots level of our society.
The government of this country has turned its' back on the people of Britain for so long now that most people have no faith in them at all and merely struggle to get on with their daily lives, so when along come another bunch that seem hell bent on making life that little bit harder with their outrageous behaviour and demands on an already over-bullied, over-regulated and over-taxed nation, some people will snap.
I may be callous, but let the incidents continue. They start to add up. Sooner or later they get to the point where the Government has to make a decision: Will they listen to what their nation is screaming at them, or will they keep taking the easy path and keep screwing the majority over to the point where an absolutely, almighty confrontation ensues? There won't be any turning back from that and I'm buggered if I'll have any sympathy for any politician in that eventuality.
Wishbone
It's stories like the one above that make me root for the BNP, even though I'm not a White. I've seen others call them Fascists and Nazis, but I can't imagine Nick Griffin trying to resurrect the British Empire, recolonize America or India, send British troops out worldwide to conquer other territories, etc.
Memo to all British Infidels - White and non-White - support the BNP, at least until the Tories get your message.
Then they came for the Sikhs, but because I wasn't a Sikh, I did nothing.
When will they start forcing ALL Kaffirs to convert to Islam?
FYI: I don't believe Sikhism is a form of Islam...the founder, Nanak, was actually born into a Hindu family, rejected both religions in his youth, & developed philosophies that were considered vile to both Hindus and Muslims. Most of his converts apparently were Hindu, with a few Muslims.
Sikhism has nothing to do with Islam. The two religions share only one thing in common: the belief in one God. Otherwise, I would suggest KAOSKTRL wake up, speak to and mix with more Sikhs. A good starting point would be the Sikh Empire in India, its genesis, and, if he has the patience, read about how the 9th teacher 'guru' gave up his life to the Muslim Emperor in defence of the right of the Hindus to profess their right to their beliefs. This is antithetical to Mohammed's doctrine. Thank you. And please, wake up and smell the coffee.
For some Sikh history, especially as regards Sikhs' experiences with the Moslems, see
