How anyone with an open mind can study the doctrines of Islam and end up "respecting" it, is beyond rational comprehension.

The worst belief system there is, apparently rampant in academia, at the UN, and at other national and extra-national agencies, is not Islam, but the one that dogmatically believes, in the face of mountains of contrary historical and contemporary evidence, in moral equivalence between civilizations.

How do you bridge a culture of the arts, sciences, technological innovations, freedom of thought, freedom of religion, individual human rights, rule of democratic principles, and a celebration of our "we love life" with a culture of submission, repression of the individual, repression of women, repression of the arts, dogmatic repression of ideas, unchallengeable supremacist religious ideology, rule of fear by punishments and threats, suicide violence, and a celebration of "we love death"?

We build bridges and they destroy them. How do you bridge cultures when one side of the bridge is civilized while the other side is barbaric? What kind of "natural bridge between diverse communities" is that, unless it be protected with pill boxes and armed guards?

We all know the bridge building will be one sided, and all in the interest of educating us, the infidels, about the glorious history and achievements of islam.

It is not necessary to build such a bridge, when one is already in place. As I pointed out in JW thread, Islam is the backward of forward, evil instead of love, poverty instead of prosperity, illness instead of health, insanity instead of sanity, attack instead of peace. Hold Islam up to a mirror and you will see the truth. The bridge spans the gap between reality and fantasy, those who turn from fantasy and return to reality are called apostate's.
We dont need to build anymore bridge's, just hand out more mirror's...

I think this says it all. The UN is a &*$(#ing abomination, giving a voice to the world's most vile regimes and bloodsoaked dictators. I imagine if the UN existed during WWII, they'd try to bridge the gap between Chinese and Japanese, or Nazis and Jews. Pathetic bunch of oxygen wasters the lot of them.

In 1962 President Kennedy gave the UN, the ratified document,'Freedom from War, total dis-armament in a peaceful world'. This document is a three stage plan to reduce the size and power of the US military, while at the same time build the UN military so that no power on Earth can prevail against it. Unless it has been recinded, this is still official US policy. Google it...

Step 1: destroy Israel, it must go, no discussion there
Step 2: hand over the rest of the world to the muslims, as if we aren't half-way there already
Step 3: closure of the UN as the Ummah will be complete

Closure of the UN is the only part of this I like.

Seriously though, every time I look at the UN I think to myself "where is a suicide terrorist when you need one."

Then I realize the answer: In the General Assembly.

The UN expert on racism, Dr. Doudou Diène, is on a one way mission: Racism is and can only be found in civilized, white society. African racism is virtually non-existent.

'Multiculti' and 'diversity' for him means Europe/America must take care of all the illiterate, impoverished blacks of Africa.

We must open our borders, how dare we keep them out. Doudou, one must suspect, doesn't know what 'chutzpah' means, but he sure has enough hubris to make a cow sick. Africa, of course, is for the blacks. Who'd dare to say otherwise?

Does the UN High Representative expect Muslims to give up what Mohammad tole them to do and what Mohammad did himself... I don't know where I first heard this, but one of the most profound quotes I've heard on this whole subject is:

"A conflict of values is not a misunderstanding."

Traslation:
"address the world's imbalances" = Giving them money until they have a per capita parity with us, and hopefully then they'll like us, respect us, and treat us as equals.

"address the world's ... sources of conflict" = Dar Al Islam and Dar Al Harb. After all have submitted to Allah, then there will be peace, once the apostates (Sunni/Shia, Shia/Sunni, etc, etc, etc) are 'taken care of'.

Fortunately, it probably involves nothing more than conferences in exotic locations, sightseeing in far away countries, opulent dining on local delicacies, and press releases to justify their time and money spent attending these conferences.

Oh, and I forgot the obligatory condemnation of Israel 'for having the impudence to exist' at the end of each conference.
