Here's an interesting story -- we'll watch it and keep you posted if there turns out to be any jihad connection. At this point this guy could just be a Middle Eastern weapons collector. But we'll be watching the case.
"NEW: Cache Of Weapons Found In Dallas Apartment," by J.D. Miles for CBS 11 News (thanks to Cindy):
(CBS 11 News) DALLAS Federal sources tell CBS 11 News that law enforcement officers have confiscated a large cache of weapons found in an apartment near the federal building in downtown Dallas.Sources say a maintenance man entered the apartment in the 300 block of North Akard to work on some plumbing. Once inside, authorities say, the man found the weapons.
According to sources, among the weapons discovered were two AK-47 rifles, an Uzi 9 millimeter submachine gun, a TEC-9 submachine gun, a 40 millimeter ordnance launcher, a handheld ordnance launcher, and about 500 rounds of ammunition.
As of 6 pm, authorities had not yet arrested anyone, but were searching for the tenant of the apartment. Authorities tell us the tenant travels to the Middle East frequently and just returned from there this morning.
Any relation to Dallas Jihad Girls? What you want to bet that the anti-NRA-ers don't say boo about this.
Oh goodness, what to do, what to do? Do they go after this as part of promoting their favorite sacred cow, i.e., gun control and eradication of the second amendment, or do they keep quiet so as not to upset any of the opportunity challenged members of the religion of peace? Oh well, it will all work out in the end. Ms. Dallas Jihad Girl #1 is not a bad person, after all.
At this point this guy could just be a Middle Eastern weapons collector.
Can a "weapons collector" legally possess machine guns and ordinance launchers in Texas?
LOL Isabell...bingo...
It's not some redneck white guy, so they won't say squat-it doesn't fit the profile of what the unholy alliance pursues like rabid dogs...their enemy: Americans
Xero...you need a Federal License ("class 3") to possess a working automatic weapon regardless of state (and that doesn't include the gun gestapo states like NY, CA IL etc where anything that so much as "looks mean" is forbidden, since only the criminals can do that as it's also forbidden to defend yourself adequately in these states), launchers like for grenades are prohibited save that of National Guardsmen, and that, only when on duty, not in the home-civilians cannot possess them unless they're rendered inert.
Watch the durkaditz cop a plea deal...& get away with it, thanks to some PC scheister lawyer.
Whats the fuss? Just a Texas rabbit huntin good old boy.
It will be interesting to see it play out.
Most of the time the media, which we know is 'anti-gun' always paints a 'cache of weapons' as a major illegal ativity.
Having a 'cache' of weapons is not illegal.
The media most will make comments like 'submachine gun' when it is not. Additionally, the media does not state that everyone of these weapons are legal with the proper paperwork issued by the goverment.
The fact that the person travels to the Middle East is the only thing suspicious, or until they make a conclusion that these are actually 'submachine guns' and the person does not have the proper paperwork.
Although, there are many Mexicans in Texas and neighboring states that are supporters of MECHa and Atzlan that state they are armed, ready to rise up against the gringos.
JCom972,
Just for the record, I LOVE rednecks. Those guys are going to save our butts when the street wars start.
By the way, how are they getting away with hosting the Azura Festival in the streets in England? That is something I don't want to see here in the United States, ever! (See "British Police Go To Hell" above.)
'Islamic rage boy' has hit the big time.

The CAIR website is even talking about it...

"There have been claims it is the face of one particular man and that his rights and privacy have been breached."
Then he should keep himself at home. There's no privacy out in public, one eyed mullets.
It is an image of the face of an angry Moslem protestor and it has been used by rightwingers in the United States to mock Islamic fundamentalists. The face appears on teeshirts and mugs.
LOL. Its hard to tell Muslims from liberals nowadays.
It is an image of the face of an angry Moslem protestor?
What other kind is there? If they're not angry, then they're not happy.
Isabelle, the "redneck" comment was not a slam-I was mocking the militant anti-self-defense (anti-gun) nutbags who love to invoke such terms when it comes to anyone with a weapon bigger than a bb gun.
I wouldn't know about such festival in the UK...
I live in the proto-marxist state, otherwise known as the peoplez republik of kalifornia, where apart from san fransicko or lala land, durkaboys wouldn't risk their lives doing such a thing as done in the UK (here in the big valley where I live, we have more cowboys than Texas does).
And you're right...when the big hammer drops, the insurrectionists are in for one helluva rude shock when they try it here, and find out how well armed their intended victims are...even here in CA.
No they are not. Islam is a miserable "religion". No peace or content. Thats why I think the converts are the worst. You have to be mental to convert.
Sing along:
The crescent moon is bright at night,
deep in the heart of Texas.
The minarets are big and high,
deep in the heart of Texas.
The poppies in bloom mean kuffar doom,
deep in the heart of Texas.
Reminds me of the Kabul I love,
deep in the heart of Texas.
The muezzins wail, along the trail,
deep in the heart of Texas,
The dhimmis rush, to kiss your butt,
deep in the heart of Texas.
The jihadis cry, "Alahu-al-Akbar,"
deep in the heart of Texas.
The Zionist dogies bawl, and bawl,
deep in the heart of Texas.
LOL jewdog...only one thing:
(if I may be so bold as to speak in native tougue):
"we ain't played cowboys & durkas...yet."
:-)
an Uzi 9 millimeter submachine gun...Gotta love the irony of these Jihadis weapons selection( if thats what they turn out to be )
Oh no, Jcom972, I wasn't being sarcastic, honey. I mean it, I really love rednecks. I know a lot of southern boys from my stint as an Air Force wife and presently live in the south. They are patriotic, they have great accents and they know how to deep fry a turkey! That works for me. ; )
BTW, I am a California girl myself, born and bred. And when you say the valley, are you, like, talking about near the Galleria, totally?
Currently stationed at Shaw AFB, SC
Where's Shaw? I'm not familiar with that one but I've been away from it for quite a while now. My ex flew trash haulers, back in the day.
lol Isabelle...Lord, no, not THAT valley...the BIG one up north of "the grapevine", between Modesto & Oakdale...where you can still use the word NORMAL without being sentenced to rehab!...lol
Yee Haw!

A poster from another board noted that this apartment is right near the federal building where the Holy Land Foundation terror trial istarted Monday.

Jcom972,
Ohhhhh, where they grow the grapes. North of Los Banos. Gotcha!
Until five years ago I had been living in Dallas, Texas for a few years and had made a new home purchase. The heater went out one winter and the repair man sent by the warrantee company was a Muslim Arab who, when he noticed the mezuzah on our door, began cussing us out and refused to do the repair work. When I called up his employer I was told "Ahmed informed us that you refused to let him into your home" and refused to send out anyone new to complete the work. I was angry to say the least. That same day I called an American to do the work. He not only came out that very day, but he fixed an additional item for which he did not charge, charged less than the original dope, and struck up a conversation about my extensive history and Judaica book collection.
Before 9/11 Hamas-related charities had ads up on the back of some city buses, ads calling for donations to "Help the suffering children of the Holy Land" as they put it. The "Holy Land Foundation," which misrepresented itself to Texas Christians as a charitable organization, was soon thereafter shut down.
The Dallas-Ft. Worth area is a hot bed of Islamist activity and has been for year. Then there are Farrakhan's ilk scattered here-and-there around the metroplex.

Thats probbly the same link as in the story, but they updated with video.
Quote of the night "The tenet left during the police search and hasn't been seen since."
WTF???
Also, this is the SECOND weapons cache they found TODAY!! (thats 3 in 2 days)
But its ok, its NOT TERRORISM.
They are talking like Kevin Bacon in Animal House "DON'T PANIC!! EVERYONE REMAIN CALM!" a she gets run over by the fleeing crowd.
Eh.
As a weapons collector, myself, I'm not so certain we should be so quick to brand someone a "jihadist" just for having a "cache" of firearms and whatever an "ordnance launcher" is. I have an AK-47 clone, as well as multiple other firearms, as do many of my friends and relatives. We're anything but jihadists.
Xero G: Having machine-guns is perfectly legal in many states, including Texas and my state of Georgia, provided that the proper documentation is along with them. The process of purchasing a fully-automatic firearm in America is, unfortunately, extremely burdensome on collectors such as myself. Criminals, naturally, will not bother going through the months-long process that's often required to purchase such weapons legally.
"According to sources, among the weapons discovered were two AK-47 rifles, an Uzi 9 millimeter submachine gun, a TEC-9 submachine gun, a 40 millimeter ordnance launcher, a handheld ordnance launcher, and about 500 rounds of ammunition."
.....six weapons indicate 4-6 users, lets find the other individuals....no doubt a party was being planned...
...ban Muslim immigration....
Jonas is right on...keep in mind not all assault weapons are set up for full auto (even though you'd never know it by the medias obsessive pounding of anything that has "automatic" in terminology, such as "semi-automatic", which doesn't mean a "machine gun")...if they do have a full auto weapon, and don't have Federal Class 3 license, their ass is grass.
"ordinance launcher" refers to a grenade launcher.
(40mm is common grenade size for that-like you would see in the Terminator movies)
I've a similar collection here, and that's not easy being in this proto-marxist state of the peoplez republik of kalifornia (mine are pre-ban and exempt)-only reason I can keep mine is because I'm retired military and the PD knows I've more & better training to use them than they do, lol.
True, having such a collection doesn't automatically make them a jihadist...but if they're mOslem, it warrants a LOT of attention, and alarm, especially if they're not a citizen.
I'd keep a very close eye on this one, just in case.
CAIR says islamic rage boy image promotes hatred against muslims.
Funny ...........I thought islamic rage boy was promoting hatred against us !
...HA.....!!
"CAIR says islamic rage boy image promotes hatred against muslims.

.........I thought the same thing, you know...after listening to his words of hate directed against us...the people surrounding him with "Death to America" signs....his urging of Jihad against the "infidels"....his boasting of Islamic supremacy....
.....CAIR is wrong ...as ususal...

And trust me, hon, I'm very glad you do.
Regarding Rage Boy, CAIR is embarassed that this guy is so vocal, so overexposed and so Muslim. Let's just say, the cat's out of the bag and CAIR is having a heck of a time putting him back in there. I think we should exploit this to the fullest, maybe make some t-shirts, something with Rage Boy's face on it and the phrase:
"Have you hugged a Muslim today?"
or maybe
"Say Islam is the Religion of Peace or I'll cut your effing head off!!!"
1st of all, i have a similar legal cache of weapons.
2nd, it sounds like the weapons are legally owned.
3rd, don't confuse the terms "machine gun", "submachine gun" and "assault weapon" with "fully automatic". this is the way that the anti-gun groups try to confuse you into believing that these sorts of weapons should be illegal. in fact you can legally own fully automatic weapons here in the USA but you just have to have a license to do so. you can legally own, without a license, semi-automatic weapons.
i know of many people who travel to the ME, most are in the military, some are contractors, some are business people.
i think you all may be "jumping the shark" in this case because given the information provided, i'd say that this man's rights were violated.
jcom972: Do yourself a favor and get out of that hellhole. California is no sane place for a gun-owning family-man to live, trust me.
"...i'd say that this man's rights were violated.
Posted by: viahj"
.....the tenants of the apartment have disappeared and may be on the run....you do not run if your rights are violated , you stay and defend yourself....running implies guilt....it indicates you have something to hide...
exsgtbrown: Is there even a stated reason for raiding this man's apartment, other than the fact that he owns a "cache" of firearms? According to Tim Kaine, the governor of Virginia, I have an "arsenal" inside my own house.
Look at the article: "Police seized the weapons even though they say they may have been obtained legally. "
"The father says his son is an avid gun collector, a member of the National Rifle Association and that he's never been out of the county."
I am an avid gun collector, as well as a member of the NRA and the GOA. I've never been out of the country. Mr. Spencer, always reasonable, was correct not to immediately list this man as a "jihadist," and it's highly doubtful that he is. As I've said, a "cache" of weapons does not make one a jihadist in America--it often makes one a patriot.
No way Jonas...I'm not here because I love the lefties...I'm here to be a pain in their ASS! LOL
Only the population centers are blue counties...I live in the big valley-NORMAL Californians.
Look at the elections by county...if it weren't for san fransicko, lalaland, and oh yeah, the illegals being able to vote (thanks to motor voter & welfare agencies registering them, by state law), this would be solidly red state.
We get as bad a rap as upstate New Yorkers-bad publicity because of the population centers'idiocy.
You think you've got the bad rap? Try being someone from the Deep South in the media today. ;)
