NEW YORK (CNN) -- The FBI is investigating letters sent to newspapers nationwide that say "Goldman Sachs. Hundreds will die. We are inside. You cannot stop us," the bureau said Friday.The letters were sent to nine newspapers, including publications in Fort Wayne, Ind., Corpus Christi, Texas, and Boise, Idaho, a law enforcement official told CNN.
Letters containing apparent threats to investment bank Goldman Sachs were sent to nine newspapers, the FBI said.
"We take these things very seriously," said FBI spokesman Bill Carter.
The FBI does not yet know who mailed the letters, which were signed "A.Q.U.S.A.," FBI sources told CNN.
Goldman spokesman Lucas Van Praag told CNN the investment firm has been in close contact with the FBI since late June. The FBI analysis, he said, "concluded the threat is extraordinarily incredible," meaning the threat lacks credibility.
The threat is unique in terms of specifically targeting Goldman employees, Van Praag added. A year ago, he said, there were threats against a number of U.S. banks.
"We have a broad range of security measures in place to counter all likely threats and we're monitoring the situation closely," the bank said in a statement Friday.
The FBI's Carter told CNN, "We have no specific and credible information about a credible threat to Goldman Sachs other than these letters."
According to a law enforcement official, the letters were post-marked late June from New York and were handwritten in red ink on loose leaf paper.

Maybe Goldman Sachs blocked JW after receiving these threats, in an attempt to appease those threatening them. Have the letters been made public in full? Maybe there's a line about cutting off access to truth-sites like JW, or else.

Last night I watched some of the Hannity and Colmes program. There was a woman commentator sitting in for Hannity who I was not familiar with. The topic was the threat of terrorism with Colonel Oliver North sitting in the middle, and of course Alan Colmes was doing his "hear no evil,see no evil" liberal left-wing routine with a very heated up Colonel North. What I found interesting is that why North, and Colmes were going at it, the female commentator who was quite feisty in her comments said that "Oh that's right were not suppose to comment on what the real source of why jihadist do what they do comes from". I found it interesting that both Colonel North, and Colmes did not respond to her comment.
The question is and has been in my mind for years, why doesn't the media ever discuss what specifically drives Muslims to commit jihadist attacks, namely the hadiths', or the surahs that are found in the Qur'an that constantly promote jihad against us kaffirs or infidels?
Does anybody have a knowledgeble media answer as to why they never address the specifics in the Qu'ran as we do here in jihadwatch?
