The human cost of Sharia absolutism and jihadist intransigence and brutality. A heartrending post by Azadeh Pourzand.
Let My Father Leave!Today on my way to work, as I was waiting for the metro to come, my eyes got tired of reading, I put my book aside and decide to people watch for a while. I noticed that a daughter and a father were sitting next to me and talking in Spanish. The girl was probably my age, around 21or 22 years old. And the father seemed to be in his late 50s. Their conversation and their tone of talking with each other really caught my attention. It seemed that they were having so much fun together. The girl was telling her father about a dress she had seen that was very pretty and her father was asking her about the details of the dress. And then they started to talk about how he is going to buy that for her and how the dress should look good on her. When the train came, it was as though all of a sudden the child in the man came out. He held his daughter’s hand and said in an excited tone, “Let’s run. Let’s run pretty girl”. And they both laughed. At that point I stopped pretending that I was not listening to their conversation and I, too, laughed with them. The man noticed me, smiled at me and asked me to enter the train first.
On the train, they continued to talk about different things and laugh. The girl had put her head on her father’s shoulder and her father was patting her hand. They were seriously the cutest creatures in this world. Although I was trying to read and not interrupt them by listening to their conversations, I would get distracted by their beautiful daughter-father relationship and could not keep my eyes away from them. At some point, the daughter took off her father’s ring from his hand and tried it on her own hand. She laughed and said, “Haha, papa, look, it looks nice on me!” and kept it on. Her father laughed and said, “Miss, please give me back my ring. Go ask some handsome gentleman to buy you a ring, not me”, he laughed some more and embraced her. They noticed me looking at them again and they smiled at me.
When they were getting off the train, the man turned back, looked at me and said, “take care, my daughter”. I waved at him and tried to hide my tears in my eyes. They made me miss my beloved father so much that I could not prevent myself from crying. Why can’t I see my father and spend time with him? Why does my father have to be trapped in Iran, under loose house arrest? Why did he have to get kidnapped, tortured, imprisoned to begin with? Why is he not allowed to leave Iran? While many true criminals wander in cities in Iran, why a true believer of humanity like my father who has always been committed to his job, journalism, should be mistreated as if he is a dangerous criminal?
I want to see my father. I, too, want to be able to see my father laugh. I want him to see me having grown up. I want him to see and to feel the result of all the years that he took care of me. I want my mother to see my father. I want to see them embrace each other and cry off the years of separation. I want my sisters feel the presence of their father. The family members of Siamak Pourzand have been longing to see him for years. We want to be able to take care of him, to show him how much we love him. Let him leave Iran. Let him leave the country that he has passionately loved all throughout his life. Let him leave the country that has turned into a lonely prison for him. Let him leave. Let him come to us. Let him feel our love while he is alive.

...so many things occur when Islamic zealots take the violent teachings of the Qur'an to heart and enforce those teachings on the people that they control...
....it is clearer every day, Islam is becoming more and more evil....
I have an Iranian friend named Kamyar. He converted to Christianity the moment he came to America. He's gung-ho Christian. Way back in 2000 before my own transformation to Islamophobe, I asked him, "Why did you convert? What's wrong with Islam?"
His answer:
"You've never lived among Muslims."
Wow...there are some real sicko's out there...
http://www.americanlegends.blogspot.com
And Muslims are convinced that the world would be a happier and more just place if it would just embrace Islam.
Islam is a mental and spiritual illness.
I went to the link and it's a PEN site. They give interesting background about the man and ask that one write polite letters to Ayatollah Khamenei asking for the journalist's release. There is an example letter one can copy and all one has to do is fill in one's signature and the date. Khamenei's address is provided, and you need an 80 cent stamp. I sent a letter.
Dear Yankee Doodle:

That story had me thinking about current Muslims living here that have NEVER lived in an Islamic country. These would be people my age in their 20s - 30s, well educated, but Islamic with a tendency towards conservative elements and access to the internet - where, between our public school systems, and the Islamic Jihadist websites, these young American Muslims learn to hate the USA, but don't realize what it is like to truly live in an Islamic controlled theocracy.
These are potential terrorists in the making. It is scary to think about.
Monkeywho:
There is a parallel situation with Liberals in the US too. They've never lived under a totalitarian regime or experienced real fascism, yet love to use those terms to describe American government.
Self loathing, hypocritical igoramuses.
These stories shows you how much contempt for life islam can only offer its believers. l hope and pray for that daughter's reunion with her father in a free non muslim country.
I will wait for the answers to the questions asked in the article too, because i would also like to know.
I doubt though there are any with the answers because there are none with the voice to answer that have any clue.
Islam is an all encompassing killer. Not any one part of it,ALL of it.
Anyone actually think your letters would make it to one of the heads of the freak show?I doubt they will get past the post office.
No shame in trying though.
Re: "I, too, want to be able to see my father laugh"
Life is tough and we have to deal with reality.

Re: The issue with Jihad Watch (including opposition from CAIR style Hustlers):
The Qu'ran is allegedly dictation from God to Muhammad (it's not a story, like the Book of Joshua, subject to interpretation. There's no comparison between the Old Testament and the Qu'ran for any honest person). The Qu'ran is allegedly direct orders from God to Muhammad (the Jihadists ask: "What don't you understand about a "direct order" from God?")
The Qu'ran is set up longest verses to shortest verses, but what matters is the chronological order. An earlier verse is often abrogated by a later verse (wine is good, wine is bad, e.g.) . The last chronological verse of the Qu'ran commands the complete subjugation and/or killing of all unbelievers. Jihad is based on this. (Quotes of "peaceful verses" by many Muslims are a hustle on this.)
Violent Jihad represents "true Islam". The "modratae Muslims" have nothing to come back on this. They are like Jackie Gleason in the Honeymooners ("hummana, hummana hummana") when this is pointed out to them. Either the last verse is a direct order or not. It's true or it's not.
The last verse in the Qu'ran is very bad news for unbelievers. "Moderate Muslims" are silent on this because they know the last verse in the Qu'ran commands violence and subjugation of Unbelievers. It abrogates all the "peaceful verses"(used by CAIR style hustlers, etc.).
"True Islam" may result in nail bombs shreding people you love, people who are "not innocent" as per the Qu'ran. The issue of Jihad is in the Qu'ran and it's time to face reality on this. Robert is right.
No "peaceful verses"-please. Time to deal with reality.
By the "last verse' I mean the chronologically last verse. Please-no bs-no "peaceful verses" from Muslims or Muslim apologists-please. That horseshit must end. Thank you.

The only thing that will stop this demented delusion is the most severe and ruthless use of force. No amount of reasoning will work. General Sherman was right on this kind of matter.
Folks: The "peaceful verses" are a hustle. The people who fart theses abrogated verses are hustlers and they know they are hustlers. What matters is chronological order. Sura 9 is bad news for Unbelievers. It's the marching order for "true Islam".
Face reality.
"There is no fun in Islam."- Ayatollah Khomeini.
There is, however, a pedophile "prophet", temporary "marriages, and misogyny galore.
Best of luck in her getting her father freed from this theocratic gulag.

But the people of Iran love their government. They may prefer democracy, but freedom is not on their minds. They don't equate the two.
With few exceptions, the plight of this father means little to them.
Two thirds of those who pine for democracy also support funding terrorist groups. They would rather have better relations with China. They want humanitarian assistance (Why, isn't Iran rich?) but the US and Israel are at the bottom of their list of preferred providers.
Iranians and freedom? Never to meet again.
To all whom it may concern: our Azadeh Pouzand like her father and 99% of Iranians is .... muslim. And as his exellency dr. Mahathir bin Muhammad, a former PM of Malaysia once very authoritatively stated "there's no moderate muslim", full stop, period.
Read her blog if you got spare time - you'll find shameless whining about post 9/11 "racial " (islam is not a race) profiling and nothing about 9/11 alone.
In reverse situation both, the father and the daughter (like above-mentioned 99% of Iranian populace) would move a finger to help you...
A Persian ?
