"Siddhivinayak, Tirupati, temples under jehadi threat," by Bharti Jain for The Economic Times:
NEW DELHI: The much-revered Tirupati shrine is on the jehadi outfits’ terror radar according to latest intelligence inputs which also list Sai Baba’s temple at Shirdi and the Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai as likely terror targets.
Intelligence agencies had last month forwarded special inputs to the Union home ministry hinting at the plans of terror outfits like LeT, Jaish e Mohammad and Harkat ul Jehad i Islami-Bangladesh (HuJi-B) to target key Hindu shrines in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh as part of their agenda of stoking communal passions by striking at religious places including mosques.
A combination of false-flag operations, and destruction of the shrines of a religion at odds with Islamic beliefs.
The inputs specifically mention Sri Venkateshwara temple at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, the Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai and Sai Baba’s shrine in Shirdi — which are visited by large crowds of devotees every day — as shrines with the highest threat perception.
The major shrines to witness jehadi attacks so far include the Akshardham temple in Gujarat, Sankatmochan temple in Varanasi, Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya, Raghunath temple in Jammu, besides a mosque in Malegaon, Jama Masjid in Delhi and, more recently, the Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad.
All these attacks were mastermined either by LeT with the help of Simi, Jaish or Huji-B. The latter two, according to intelligence sources, work in tandem with each other.
These jehadi outfits strike at religious places during festivals or special prayers so as to generate wide publicity and/or maximise casualties. The MHA has taken the alleged threat to major Hindu shrines in Maharashtra or Andhra Pradesh seriously and alerted the two states through advisories asking them to step up vigil at the religious places.
Maharashtra followed up the intelligence warning with heightened security levels at the shrines, including a bar on coconut offerings. The state police also instructed its men in the field to keep an eye on any suspicious movement around the shrines to screen out potential terrorists.
This concept of raids on other people's places a worship has been going on in India ever since islamists set foot in India. Mohammad Ghazni, Mohammed Ghori,Qassim, Aurangazeb, Thuglaq, Deccan Sultans etc..... ad infinitum.
This reminds me of Matrix movie. Where anyonce in the matrix can become an agent at any time. ould it be that under indoctrination of Quran and al insaan al-kamil :-) , any islamist can become a replica of al insann al-kamil?
Is Spain a developed country because influence of al insaan al kamil was removed after inquisition?
May god bless infidels.

How much of $880 billion (amount spent on Iraq so far) would be sufficient to support a special Bangli force to push back these Jihadists into the caves, jungles or mountains from whence they came?
Continued focus in bringing democracy to regular "moms and dads" in Iraq prevent analysis of these questions.
GWB acknowledges jihadist seek world domination but thinks they all hang out in Iraq.
I have a two-volume set, edited by Sita Ram Goel, which consists entirely of listings, page after page, of temples and temple complexes destroyed by Muslim invaders. Many thousands must be listed in this book. But how many others remain to be discovered and listed in a future edition, and how many at present, or in the future, and beyond the prying eyes of the press, are being destroyed or will be destroyed by Muslims in Pakistan, in Bangladesh, and apparently, in India itself?
Sai Baba has always been very popular, considered an avatar by many. Supposedly he could manifest jewelery at will, but is most famous for manifesting, ashes. He puts his hand and arm into a tall vase and ashes come tumbing out. Far more than the vase can hold. Fake Sai Baba ashes have been sold by vendors to tourists. At one time I had some 'real' Sai Baba ashes, a wind came up and blew them away. Thousands of people a day come to his ashram to hear him speak...Or at least they did, I dont know if he is still living or not...Maybe someone knows...
Four yrs ago I hired a Hindu from Madras (Chennai sp?) to serve as Java architect on an enterprise application sfw project. Great guy, been in the States 20 yrs, gained entry as a grad asst in Comp Sci department up here in MN.
Anyway, he did an A+ job on my project -- "best in the Midwest" is a what I like to call him -- and we stayed in touch and a coupla yrs later he told me he was taking his wife, 4 yr old girl, and parents on a grand tour of Hindu temples.
This was just a yr or two after 9/11/2001. When I asked why the grand tour, he answered, "I just want my family to see as much of the glory of Hindustan as possible before it's destroyed by the agression of Islam."
The temples are just temporary obstructions where mosques should be.
At least according to Mohammad.
("Temples" = churches, fanes, synagogues, monasteries, sacred sites, et al. Even to the levelling of Stonehenge, the Pyramids and Palenque.)
Infidel dogs need to start growling louder.
Fighting over religion is like arguing who has the biggest invisible friend.
Anything unislamic is fair game for the crazies. The twin towers, big ben, the mermaid statue in Denmark, anything unislamic, so they can erase history and pretend the world and all it's marvells and selective technonlogy are islamic.

I think you are referring to that charlatan that live down in Bangalore. He looks like a toilet brush on an orange stick. He could teach the Tele evangelists a thing or two on how to make money. Shirdi is north of Bombay near Narsik, where the real Sai Baba they are referring too lived. He was a rather unusual gentleman. Nobody knew where he came from, he came to Shirdi sometime in the 1870s and lived there until he died in I thing 1919 or 1917. He dressed like a muslim and wore a hindu caste mark he live in a ruined muslim mosque you wouldn't have kept livestock in. He was poor all his life giving away everything he received during the day. He kept a small fire burning and slept on a narrow plank suspended from the roof. He didn't seek followers but he didn't turn them away. His following was mixed both muslim and hindu. He could speak learnedly of both the Koran and the Bagavita. How do I know all this I came on it by accident when I was traveling through India on a motor cycle in the late 1970s. I was deeply impressed by the the Gentleman but not enough to turn me away from my godless life. I wasn't seeking enlightenment anyway. The temple in Shirdi is next to the mosque where Sai Baba lived. When I was in India his pictures were everywhere and he was a symbol to both religious groups that it was possible to respect each others believe and live in peace. Is it any wonder fanatics want to destroy it?
