The Iranian news website Etemaad reports that as of July 23, men with long or extravagantly styled hair will be arrested. They will be ordered to cut their hair and then report to the police, apparently for a check up.
Tehran Chief of Police Ahmad-Reza Radan:
"The streets belong to the sphere of society, not that of the individual. It's not possible for one to appear in society as one pleases."
I recall reading similar statements issued in another country about 70 years ago.
Men caught wearing shorts or t-shirts with brand logos on them will also be arrested. No indication has been given as to the punishment for those who do not comply, or whether this new law will apply to visitors.

Will they have to drink piss and eat feces too?

This is merely a case of the nice Iranian authorities trying to show that they are not particularly unfriendly to women. As some may remember from that Halal-Haram Game posting, according to Al-Qaradawi's guide to what is halal and what haram, women are forbidden to wear their hair in the shape of a camel's hump -- that is, piled high in the bouffant style that one associates with the earliest Bond movies and white Courreges boots. By going after men -- especially those Elvis impersonators, with those DA haircuts that bring us back to 1956, who are all over Tehran these days, with their blue-suede shoes and fake Gibsons -- the Islamic Republic of Iran demonstrates that it can be just as hard on men as on women.
So take that, Hirsi Ali.
"... visitors....?
.....who would want to visit?......
They seem to want all Iranian men to wear their hair like Moe of the three stooges.

This is just yet another example of how Islam is not just a religion, but is also a societal system, going so far as to even dictate the hair styles that people have.
Remember, Muslims say: "Freedom go to hell", so we should hardly be surprised by this.
It begs the question of whether Muslims care about civil liberties/freedom at all, and whether they would be content to live in a society where they are told exactly what they can and can't do. Like the ultimate nanny state, or ultimate authoritative form of government.
I am surprised such people are willing to let go of all their freedom. I suppose this is what happens when Islam gets involved in the process of freedom-removal; it might take away their freedoms, but it promises them unlimited freedoms in the afterlife. Which is different from something which simply takes away freedoms and gives nothing back. People rebel against the latter, whilst they are happy with the former.
What about spying squirrels with western haircuts and logo t-shirts?
And if they have "spy gear"?
Does this ban include mullets?
All Iranian men should style their hair and beards like their president. What a hoot that would be-just like Planet of the Apes.
Mohammad himself used to style his hair and beard, and dyed the latter henna.
So, the mullahs, here, are the heretics.
Fancy locks are Mohammedan.
Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

I guess my ROPMA T-Shirt and jeans wil a pic of Mohammed on the backside wouldn't pass then.

Islam has long had Fashion-Police. The Saudi Mutawwah go around with clippers and shave the heads of shabab when they are caught with un-Islamic haircuts. The Taliban did it. The Iranians are doing it now and the Pakistanis are trying to get that going in Peshawer. If people don't wake up, it will be happening in London, Paris, and Stockholm next.

I just checked that berryburger.com site recommended by James Martel. It was great, so I decided to check out the YouTube videos to the left. The one about masking tape on the mufti's mouth worked fine and was hilarious, but the one that was a parody of the media and muslims came up with the all-to-familiar label,"this video no longer available." It must have been really good and effective to get banned. Does anyone know where it can still be seen?
Iranian authorities are going to great lengths to hasten their demise.
Honestly, do they really believe that they can get away from this forever. Alientation of their citizenry, I believe, is on the rise, and examples like this make it clear as day. They only feel the need to enact such measures because it is a growing "problem". And if it is a "problem", then trying to repress in will win them no friends.

===Iranians want Democracy, Nuclear Inspections, poll says.===
I've always had a gut feeling that these folks, the ruling powers that be in the Persian Empire are not fully accurate representation of their citizenry, and polls like these, when published to the world, are one, a slapin the face to the ruling powers that be, and two, reflect this gut feeling as well.
"Men caught wearing shorts or t-shirts with brand logos on them will also be arrested."
.....does this include the Muslim protestors we often see wearing t-shirts with western logos for sports teams, logos for rock and roll bands, designer logos, or even western cartoon characters?.....
....Muslims are such hypocrites....their actions clearly show they are selective in their arrests and make arrests to terrorize their own people....
you do not want these people in your neighborhood, Ban Muslim immigration now...
