"Islam: What the West Needs to Know" DVD release party

No, this is not a real photo. It is a Photoshop job. The Islamic Rage™ protestor was not really holding a copy of the new DVD of Islam: What the West Needs to Know.

The Photoshoppped image was kindly sent me by the folks at Are We Lumberjacks (where you can see that it's the iPhone that really has the protestors in a lather), and I thought you might enjoy it.

Their faces do not seem to have the intensity of islamic rage boy. After reading Roberts book may a little wisdom sunk in.lol

They are a threat, a credible threat, and don't anyone be fooled by these crazed zombies. Maybe some people will say that we need to give them a chance, some more territory perhaps, but it is precisely because of this that these people have taken over a large part of the planet. Not because these zombies are superior to The Civilized in any way, but because The Civilized have not taken them as seriously as they should have.

Elias,

You're barking up the wrong tree. I had nothing to do with putting the documentary together. I'm just in it.

Cordially

The Observer: Understanding Islam
A controversial new documentary claims that we haven't heard Islam's real message yet

Here's a bit of history that you haven't mulled over recently: The Battle of Vienna, in 1683. Very briefly, the Ottoman empire (Muslims, more commonly called Turks at the time) had been increasing its hold on Eastern Europe over 300 years. By grabbing Vienna it would then be able to advance into central Europe. So in July of that year, 138,000 Turks laid siege to the city. Moved in part by a concern for the future of Christian Europe the King of Poland Jan III Sobieski formed a 70,000 strong army and came to the aid of the beleaguered city. After an initial clash of infantry, a charge of cavalry led by the king himself smashed the Turkish force, who retreated, and Vienna was saved.
The battle of Vienna ended Ottoman hopes for a conquered Europe. You could say that it was the decisive moment that kept Europe from becoming further Islamicized. The date of the battle, incidentally, was Sept. 11.
Coincidence? No way, at least that is the contention of the documentary Islam: What the West Needs to Know which has been screened in some places but which goes on sale this month. What the film argues, through interviews with various scholars and one former PLO terrorist turned evangelical Christian, Walid Shoebat, is that war, expansion, and violence toward unbelievers are integral to orthodox Islam and that what we are witnessing worldwide — in Palestine, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Chechnya — is Islam the way it was meant to be understood and practiced. As Shoebat says "Islam in its core teaching is not simply a 'beautiful and peace loving religion,' but a system of government & to be forced on the rest of the world." In other words, Osama Bin Laden didn't choose Sept. 11 out of a hat. He was signifying that the battle to spread Islam — turned back at Vienna in 1683 — had been rejoined.
As I'm writing this, police in Britain are investigating attempted car bombings in the middle of London, and a fiery Jeep that was rammed into the Glasgow airport, describing it all as the work of Al Qaeda. One of the great shocks to the vanity of the West in recent years has been that recognition that, young Muslims in Bradford, or Birmingham or Paris or Amsterdam may not be embracing our Western values, as we expected, but have opted for a brand of Islam that holds these Western values with contempt. In all likelihood, the men who built the car bomb in London will be found to be British residents, and perhaps even British-born Muslims.
Then of course, in June there was the announcement of the planned knighthood of Salman Rushdie, author of The Satanic Verses and famously placed under a fatwah in 1989 by Ayatollah Khomeini. On hearing of the knighthood plans, Mahammed Ijaz ul-Haq, Pakistan's religious affairs minister, said in objecting to the honor that "The West is accusing Muslims of extremism and terrorism. If someone exploded a bomb on his body he would be right to do so unless the British government apologizes and withdraws the 'sir' title." Clearly, we are talking about different values here. It's hard to imagine a Western government minister calling for the murder of a Pakistani writer for any reason.

The question, then, is if an orthodox interpretation of Islam indeed calls for the domination, murder of infidels. At the heart of this is the so called doctrine of abrogation. There is a broad range of opinion on this that is well beyond my learning, but briefly, it is the view that wherever there is an apparent contradiction in the Koran, the bit that was written last takes precedence. The period when Mohammed lived in Mecca was the time when most of the peaceful, stuff was revealed, like "there is no compulsion in religion," (Surah 2:256). Later, when Mohammed was in Medina and fighting for the survival of his movement the tone of the Koran is more bellicose, saying of unbelievers "Fight them, and Allah will punish them by your hands."

The film is worth seeing, if one-sided. And certainly we of the why-can't-we-all-just-get along school of liberalism might need to wake up a little bit.

Eh, couldn't you get Rage Boy to do it?

:-)

Hey, the one in front's cute! Anybody got his phone number? That full black beard is so attractive!

Now, for anyone who doesn't know sarcasm when they see it, that was it.

This photo is hilarious and should not be viewed by anyone under the age of 10, because beard-man may give them nightmares.

Darcy! Why are all the hotties Muslim? What a waste (snicker).

LOL, received your sarcasm loud and clear, champ!

Is that Rage Boys dad?

lol

Kudos to the Lumberjacks!

Can they insert a copy in Islamic Rage Boy's open yap?

(I'm sure even the boxed set would fit.)

The one in the back toward the right is the only one that appears to be cracking a smile. He's the only one who looks happy.

And his teeth look like they are close to breaking, they appear to be that ancient. They chew tobacco all the time.

Robert, it appears that you have some great fans in Pakistan. Talk about a ringing endorsement. :)

These religious zealots are dangerous fanatics! Why is it our governments continue to appease them? They're out to destroy everything we have and take over our lives!

I also don't buy off on these freaks being a "radical few". I never have. If they're a radical few then what the hell are the normal majority doing? Why aren't they intervening?

In short, they're letting these freaks do their dirty work for them.

It's long past time to put an end to this crap.

Aw, whatever... just another frustrated person here venting a bit.

I hear you DH. It only took a "few radicals" to bring down the Twin Towers; and I don't care if the moderate Muslims or the "normal majority" get their feelings hurt over things said about Islam.

Let them get mad -- saving lives is way more important than sparing someones feelings.

Sort of OT, but pay close attention to the very beginning of this trailer for the movie "Dawn of the Dead."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECNmWzyB7CQ&mode=related&search=
Maybe some of the movie industry gets it.

My main critique of the movie was that the producers confined their efforts at exposition to five individuals. All five of course are incredibly knowledgeable and insightful. Robert's presentation came across as the most precise and in-depth. Walid Shoebat the most colorful and succinct (referring to the Quran, he said "what part of the word 'kill' do infidels not understand?").

Still, it would have contributed mightily to the narrative had the apologists been given some time. Then we could have heard their arguments cut to shreds by respective members of the fabulous five.

Darcy,

According to Naseem, those beards make the muslim "womens" to have wild sexual desire for the bearded muslim men.

I guess you would have to be Muslim to understand it. :)

Is this "Muslim Pride Parade" some kind of mating ritual?

Muslim women like the beards -- ARGH -- guess they like 'em angry too. Except the guy in the back looks too happy, so he won't attract any more wives. Snarl -- that will turn them on.

I think Naseem is probably talking about herself.
If I was a muslim woman having sex with bearded Islamic men, I would worry about what might be growing in that beard, and what might crawl out of it...

Ha Ha Ha!!! No kidding!

Women have to cover their faces, maybe the bearded men should cover theirs during sex -- you know -- for safety/sanity reasons.

OT, but I'm hoping others can provide more info, primarily on #s 3 and 4.

I was on another site where someone who is obviously an apologist, if not a Muslim himself, who told me, among many other things, that

1. There is not a single verse in the Qu'ran or Hadiths that directly says that women and children can be killed. The only exception is if those women or children take up arms.

2. The idea of abrogation is not universally accepted by Muslim scholars and there is vast disagreement even amongst those who accept abrogation over which verses are replaced (and thus nullified) and which are not. There is only one Hadith that supports abrogation. The main argument against abrogation is why any of the earlier verses were even allowed into the Qu'ran if they are essentially meaningless.

3. There is supposedly a treaty guaranteeing the safety of a Saint Catherine's Cathedral on Mount Sinai. He says that to this day, Muslims respect St. Catherine's and have never touched it during all the wars in that region because of the protection it was granted by Mohammed. He uses the items in that treaty as proof that Muslims aren't hostile to other religions.
Among them:

Their churches are to be respected. They are neither to be prevented from repairing them nor the sacredness of their covenants."

If a female Christian is married to a Muslim, it is not to take place without her approval. She is not to be prevented from visiting her church to pray.

He then proceeds to blame all the problems in Islam on Wahhabism and blames Robert, by name, for using the Salafists' version of Islam to distort Islam's image. He says JW ignores scholars who disagree and says: "They also refuse to publish the counter-arguments sent to them by anti-extremist Islamic scholars."

4. With moderate traditional Muslims, Taqiyah is ONLY applied to save one's life or the lives of fellow Muslims and that the extremists have expanded its definition, but that it is not Islamic theology.

5. He claims you can have a Bible in Saudi Arabia, you just can't distribute them.

He sounded like he belonged in the State Department.

Aw come on Robert. You know Islamic Rage Boy secretly wants his own autographed copy.

the koran has it backwards when they say that Jews were apes and monkeys, it seems these islamist were sired by a giant ape.

No wonder Muslim women put bags over there own heads. Coyote ugly doesn't even begin to describe this.

BTW, how can Muslim women have wild sex when they're missing parts? I think they are only allowed to have wild cooking, wild house cleaning and wild babysitting.

Actually, Isabella...it's rumored the rageboys are really in a lather because the women get more...errr, pleasure, from the iphone vibrations than their own men...after all, only the men are allowed that...

...it would certainly explain a LOT, wouldn't it? lol

PMK,

Have you read Andrew Bostom's Legacy of Jihad? It deals with many of the points raised by 1.
1.)

From what I remember, yes generally one should not kill women or children (they will be great slaves to control and satisfy.) Except when they are near fighters, or in a city and are killed by siege machines, or poisoned by Muslims through their drinking water to help capture a strongpoint. The middle point I think is not universal, and the last less so, but I am not sure. Both are common enough though.

This site also helps:
http://www.answering-islam.de/Main/Authors/Arlandson/jihad.htm

2.)
From Mr. Spencer’s blogging the Koran:

Verse [2:]106 interrupts the condemnations of the Jews to introduce the Islamic doctrine of abrogation, in which Allah replaces what he has previously revealed with “something better or similar.” The Tafsir al-Jalalayn says that this verse was revealed because “the disbelievers began to deride the matter of abrogation, saying that one day Muhammad enjoins his companions to one thing and then the next day he forbids it.” The Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs says that it refers to “what was abrogated of the Qur’an and that which was not abrogated.” Sayyid Qutb maintains that “partial amendment of rulings in response to changing circumstances during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad could only be in the interest of mankind as a whole.” The concept of naskh, abrogation, is the foundation of the widespread Islamic understanding that the violent verses of sura 9 take precedence over the more peaceful verses revealed earlier, since they come later in the lifetime of Muhammad – an idea we will return to later. (For a full discussion of the Islamic idea of abrogation, see Ahmad Von Denffer’s ‘Ulum al-Qur’an.)

http://hotair.com/archives/2007/06/24/blogging-the-qur%e2%80%99an-sura-2-%e2%80%9cthe-cow%e2%80%9d-verses-75-140/

3.)
http://www.touregypt.net/Catherines.htm

St. Catherine's is also a formidable fortification, with granite walls measuring 8 to 35 meters tall, surrounded by gardens and cypresses. Prior to probably the twentieth century, the only entrance to St. Catherine's was a small door 30 feet high, where provisions and people were lifted with a system of pulleys, and where food was often lowered to nomads. It has withstood numerous attacks over its 14 hundred years existence, thus protecting a rich store of art. Today, while it is one of the oldest monasteries in the world, its original, preserved state is unmatched.

Sounds like they tried :):):). A bit like sour grapes: we don't feel like taking this place, so by Allah's will we have decided to let you live, however, when you come outside, you must still act as Dhimmies.

4.)Yes and no. Much like defensive jihad (of which 9/11 was seen as defensive since it was to withdraw US troops from land holy to Muslims), taqiya is an almost infinitely malleable thing used by people. Though I think the Islamic Jurisprudence leans towards what the State Department Muslims said. But, seeing that everything should be done to help spread Islam and to defend Islam and its prophet, Taqiyya is just another tool to in the toolbox. The most important thing is expediency, and it is easier to lie.

There is a verse in the Koran that lends support to Taqiyya, but I really need to go to a BBQ, sorry.

5.) And tell this guy if he isn't a Muslim, to take his Bible to Mecca. It would release his neck of the weight of his nonsense.

Anyways PMK, I hope this helped a bit.

To Anyone: correct me where I am mistaken.

PMK,

1 - There are multiple Hadith that clearly stipulate the killing of women through lapidation. Furthermore, like almost every other passage in Islamic theology that promotes tolerance, the caveat that you've pointed out can and is often broadened to include ancillary facets of support which can then justify the murder of women and children. Unlike the specificity of Islam's theological intolerance, tolerant passages in the Quran and Hadith are invariably qualified and nebulous, and therefore ripe for disregard.

2 - There are indeed Islamic scholars who reject the concept of abrogation (the bizarre Ibrahim Muhammad for one). But the concept is mainstream.

3 - Churches may indeed be repaired within Dar ul Islam, ON THE INSIDE. Any exterior reconstruction must meet with the approval of the ruler de jour.

As for Christian women who marry Muslim men, they are indeed free to practice their faith. But their children are to be raised as Muslim. Furthermore, Christian men are prohibited from marrying Muslim women within Dar ul Uslam.

4 - The concept of "saving lives" can and normally is broadened to include the creation of an environment whereupon Muslims can thrive and avoid persecution within the non-Muslim realm. Like almost everything else in Islam, the concept of Taqiyah is nebulous; the moderates have no more validity than the extremists on this issue than they do on any other.

5 - I've heard of Bibles being confiscated at the airports of Riyadh and Jeddah. And try to walk down any street in any city of Saudi Arabia with a single Bible and see what happens. Furthermore, look at the lame standards of your apologist....as if prohibitions on the distribution of Bibles are in no way an example of religious intolerance.

He sounded like he belonged in the State Department.

Pak Christians told to convert or face death

Agencies

Islamabad, July 7: Islamist militants in Pakistan have threatened to kill 10 Christian clerics in Southern Punjab's Khanewal district if they did not "embrace Islam and stop preaching Christianity."

"We are feeling insecure and unsafe today because of these threatening letters from Muslim fanatics," said Provincial lawmaker Naveed Amer Jeeva, coordinator of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA).

Ten Christian clerics have received threatening letters from unidentified people warning them to "embrace Islam, stop preaching Christianity and quit your faith otherwise the countdown of your life has begun".

A state of fear prevails in Khanewal district's Shanti Nagar because the authorities have failed to address their security needs, said Pastor Mehtab Masih at a press conference on Friday to highlight the issue.

Threatening letters have been received by Union Council Naib Nazim Fazal Masih, Councillor Kalim Dutt, Pastor Robin, Capt Irshad of the Salvation Army Church, Pastor Boez Enver, Pastor Lemuel Calavary and Joseph Daniel, The Post daily said.

Lawmaker Jeeva said Pastor Mukhtar Barkat had received such a threatening letter and was assassinated on January 5, 2004 in Khurrampura Khanewal.

On June 12 Christians in Shantinagar village had also received anonymous letters written in Urdu asking them convert to Islam or leave the area.

The letters were sent to 10 religious, political and social leaders of this mainly Christian village.

Shantinagar village, which has about 3,000 Christians and 500 Muslim residents, was formed by the Salvation Army Church before the Partition of ithe sub-continent in 1947.

In May, Christian residents of a Muslim colony in Charsadda town of North-West Frontier Province (NWFP), received a letter from militants asking them to convert to Islam.

Several Christian families fled their homes and others are living in constant fear.

Minority and human rights groups have demanded that the government provide protection and security to Christian families living in NWFP.

Though the authorities have assured security to the minority community and arrested few people in the earlier incidents, they have failed to boost the confidence of the Christians in the ability of the police to safeguard their lives and properties in the face of continuing threats.

There have been cases of people accused of blasphemy being murdered by religious extremists. Human rights activists say the country's blasphemy laws are misused to settle old enmities or personal disputes.

A Christian man, Younis Masih, was sentenced to death under the blasphemy laws of Pakistan for allegedly insulting Prophet Mohammad in September 2005 in Lahore.

The All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA) has sought legislative reforms to strike off the blasphemy laws that "discriminate against minorities" in the country.

He sounded like he belonged in the State Department.

Sorry folks for double postings... I think TypeKey Client is messed Up.

Npagba,

Thank you for that very informative link. One thing he said that really got to me:

"Islam allows deep immorality with women who are in their most helpless condition. This crime is reprehensible, but Allah wills it nonetheless—the Quran says so."

One of many reasons to fight this despicable excuse for a Satanic cult, masquerading as a religion of peace.

Jcom972,

While that's never been my thing, (sorry, there's no kissing with a vibrator,) if we analyze this it becomes clear why these woman would prefer Verizon over Abdullah.

Everything is upside down and out of whack in Islam. You've got old women carving up little girls like shucking oysters in the name of, what, modesty? You've got women who have to have as many children as the old man wants, they have to raise and rear them, but if they ever decide to leave him they have no claim to them. You have women who are oppressed beyond imagination, live truly miserable sequestered lives, and all they want to do is make sure their daughters live just like them. You've got men who wear dresses with leggings and insist on growing pubic hair on their faces, (I can't tell you how repulsive they look,) and some gorgeous looking women who are perpetually kept under wraps. You've got NARCs and snitches and thought police in Islam that make every move a potential opportunity for personal disaster. You've got husbands, brothers and fathers that will kill women with their bare hands to save the family's imaginary honor.

Yeah, I can see why a mobile phone would be preferable to a jihadist. They're more reliable & dependable, they can't beat you or kill you, although they can tick you off, and having one means never having to say you're sorry.

In the west when we had long haired hippee types all they wanted to do was smoke dope and have sex and say peace.
damm, those were the good ole days.

DownWithIslam : "According to Naseem, those beards make the muslim "womens" to have wild sexual desire for the bearded muslim men."

Proof, if any more were needed, that Naseem is a man.

"...wild sexual desire for the bearded muslim men."

Eeuuuuuuwwwwwwwww!!!

Please pray for the Christians in Pakistan, and for the Muslims who are persecuting them. See Matthew 5:44 for Jesus' command that we pray for our enemies, Muslims in this case.

Take the link to Are We Lumberjacks for a hilarious Photoshop picture that includes Rage Boy. Sure made me LOL!

They all look related. . ..oh o.. is that profiling..I think you'll have to agree, same noses, mental capacity..,-rage!!
