Malaysia an Islamic state but minority rights protected, says deputy PM

There is nothing more ridiculous to me than running a country based on a religion.

To run a country based on an unprovable system (religion) is a joke. BUT, it does allow the rulers to do exactly what they like to the people, in the name of God. That must be why the UK (my country) is allowing sharia courts, uncontrolled muslim immigration (based on marriage) and a total destruction of our culture. They think that the people can be made subserviant by islam and that they (the labour party) will retain control. How wrong can they be?

Islam: Separation of Church & State Need Not Apply.

The lasting impression left upon me from a three week holiday in Malaysia is one of an unsettling permeation of a more fundamental Islam into the ethnic Malaysian population, and of increasing discrimination against non-Islamic minorities. I spoke mostly with ethnic Chinese during my travels and the story from most was of frustration at the Bumiputra Laws, which are literally racist in nature, and which have incurred recent critisism from the top EU diplomat in Malaysia. Discrimination at university entrance and in government related work was particularly acute. Some of the older generations also pointed out to me a trend towards increasingly conservative dress worn by muslim women in the country. It was also apparent that government funding for mosques was vast and that no support was offered for any other faiths.
In interesting new dynamic may emerge in south east Asia between the emerging superpower that is China, and countries who discriminate against ethnic Chinese populations.

Well now I can cross Malasia off my vacation to-do list. How anybody can still believe that these Islamic countries are bastions of "tolerance and diversity" baffles my tiny mind. At least, when Jihad comes to America we will have a list of countries that we can "save" from Islam by making sure they cannot ever again threaten others with their talk of "Caliphate" and "Jihad". How, you ask? Simple.....air burst with the fuse set at 1500 feet. If war is their aim then, as General Turgidsen (sic) said in Dr Strangelove. "I will give you a good start, Mr President, 1500 kilotons worth"

"Stop Muslim immigration now!"

The evil ideology of islam creeps across the world like a malignant stain, gradually crushing the life out of every population it infects.

One story that could have been cited above was that of the late commander in chief of the Malaysian army - a Hindu - being posthumously converted to Islam after he died while climbing Mt Everest. The appeal of his wife was ignored, and his converted brother's statement was taken as the only evidence, and on that basis, he was buried, instead of cremated.

And --up until the point your head is separated from your body-- sure, of COURSE you absolutely positively have religious freedom.

Malaysia has NEVER progressed because it is an Islamic state. Much of the contribution to its progress was due to the fact that the British left behind a secular constitution and a large non-Malay Muslim population. Islamization on began in the early 80s when the Prime Minister decided to play the Islam drawcard. Here's an article by a Malaysian Muslim wondering if Malaysia is going down the path of Pakistan.

This fact and ethnic discrimination led to the large minority population leaving in droves over the last 30 years, which has also coincided with a slowdown in the growth rate of the country. I expect more and more minority Malaysians to leave soon.

If you think that a non-Muslim can be a commander-in-chief of ANY Muslim majority country, then, my friend, you don't know Islam at all. He was just a lowly soldier who was part of the expedition to climb Mount Everest. Unfortunately for them, only 2 Malaysians of ethnic Indian descent managed to reach the peak while the rest of the team failed. So, no great reward for them since they were only non-Muslims.

Unfortunately, he became paralysed soon after. Not sure what made him convert but probably due to some promise of financial assistance for his paralysis. This is a common modus operandi in the Malaysian Armed Forces. Non-Muslims are usually stopped from promotion at the ranks of Major or Lt. Col. and are promised a promotion if they are willing to convert. As it was, he converted secretly without telling his wife but he continued living as a Hindu. So, when he died, his wife tried to claim the body but the Islamic authorities seized it and forced him to be buried under Islamic rites. Too bad, as he was conned and received no financial aid before he died.

Let's see. This statement comes from the same place that claimed the economic meltdown in Eeast Asia in the late 90's was the fault of the JoooooooooooooooooooZ.
