KAMPUNG JIAS, Malaysia (Reuters) - Deep in the heart of a Malaysian jungle, a preacher holds a meeting under the scorching midday sun, urging followers not to lose faith after their church was demolished by the government.The razing of their simple brick church, among a spate of demolitions of non-Muslim places of worship in Malaysia, has heightened fears that the rights of minority faiths are being eroded despite provisions in Malaysian law guaranteeing every person the freedom to profess his own religion.
"Why did the government tear down our church when they say we are free to choose our religion?" asked preacher Sazali Pengsang.
"This incident will not stop me from practicing my faith," Sazali said, as he watched children in ragged clothes playing catch in a poor village populated by indigenous tribespeople who recently converted to Christianity from their tribal faith.
The church in northeastern Kelantan state bordering Thailand is one of several non-Muslim places of worship recently pulled down by the authorities, a trend that's fuelling concern about a rise in hardline Islam in this moderate Muslim country.

Not off topic at all, Sir Henry Morgan. If you look at that map of what used to be "Great" Britain, it is obvious that the Muslim INFESTATION is growing, like CANCER. A similar map of Malaysia would show the few Christian areas shrinking into extinction.
A gay friend of mine recently visited KL and loved it, began talking about living in Malaysia for a while. When I pointed out tha homosexuality is severely punishable, that the corrupt legal system does not even allow for proper defence, and that increasing islam in Malaysia can only be a threat to gay men, he nodded, knew all that but still thought if one didn't associate with the wrong people the risk was slim...
I'm tearing my hair out by the deliberate blindness of most people to the danger of islamism. Even when they see it they don't see it!!!

Malaysia is the Pakistan of S.E Asia and the main fomenting ground for Islamic Terrorism in the region. Its madrassas are the training schools for Jihadis and also staging posts on the route to Iraq and Afghanistan for all wannabe jihadis in the region. Jemiah Islamia the Terrorist organisation behind the two Bali bombings and the Mariott Hotle and Australian Embassy bombings in Jakarta is LEGAL in Malaysia. Two of Malaysia's States enforce strict Sharia Law and the state which borders Thailand provides safe haven and support for Muslim Separatists to enter and leave Thailand on their murderous business. JI is also deeply involved in the Philippine terrorist war and supports the Moro Front and Abu Sayf there.
The Bumiputera Law in Malaysia gives Malay MUSLIMS unfair business and educational advantage over other ethnic Malay groups such as the Chinese,Indian and Europeans and enforces the entry of under educated,lazy , corrupt Malays in to ALL businesses.
In light of what's happening in Malaysia, I hope the Singaporeans are keeping their powder dry. If I were in Singapore I'd be feeling very very worried - squeezed in between a rapidly Islamising Malaysia and a rapidly Islamising indonesia.
I have dear friends in Singapore - Chinese Christians, a Singaporean girl and her Malaysian Chinese husband (who has, I think, committed to becoming a Singapore citizen, but whose family live in Sabah - as Christian Chinese his folks are right in the crosshairs of the jihadists). I think I need to find out if they - and their home church! - know about Spencer's books, and other books, and if they don't, to bring them up to speed.
Time for Australia to get a lot closer, fast, with the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and Papua-New Guinea and to get out of our dangerous and unhealthy relationships with Malaysia and indonesia. Indians - I'm not forgetting you, I'm just thinking in terms of the people who are closest at hand.
