When the going gets tough, Allah’s brave soldiers hide behind women and children.
"Pakistan Says Militants Prevent Surrender by Students," by Khalid Qayum and Khaleeq Ahmed for Bloomberg:
July 5 (Bloomberg) -- Thirty ''hardcore'' militants are preventing students at the Red Mosque in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, from surrendering amid a siege of the mosque by security forces, the government said. The militants ''are using women and children as shields,'' Javed Iqbal Cheema, a spokesman for the Interior Ministry, told reporters in Islamabad today. A total of 1,146 students have surrendered since yesterday, he said. At least 16 people have been killed in gun battles between students and police.
Despicable.

...it says something about Islam when you have to have "armed Militants" holding hostages and brandishing automatic weapons in your place of worship.....just what is in the mosques that the "armed militants" do not want you to see or hear about?.....Muslims are afraid the Infidels will discover the truth about Islam.....
These muslims continue to amaze me with their careful use of words. Seems to be a very thin gray line between "armed militants" and "students" when it comes to islam.
Assalamau Laikum all,
I have been out to Karachi helping Anwer’s auntie recover from the terrible floods that they have had out there.
I was going to put out a request to you for financial help for the Karachi peoples…but having just read about the awful drama in London/Glasgow..and now the Lal Masjid…somehow I just think you peoples will not be much receptive.
As to the on goings at Lal Masjid, while it is amusing that we have had “Auntie Aziz” on the TV…Pak has become the laughing stock of the world.
We are supposed to be the pure…and there is no getting away from that…and that means sharia….how can we be pure without it. I think it is shameful that even after 60 years we are not shariat compliant.
Jinnah didn’t put in the frame and Zia-ul-Haq did a botch job too…”we must get closer to our religion” he said.
Through the ISI he asked for the formation of the Taliban …as long as they spread their “message” outside of Pak…like Afganistan or Azad Kashmir.
Maddrassas were build in the hundreds …and a more militant tone taken in there….what astounding shame we should feel for some to twist the peaceful message of our prophet PBUH into hate for our fellow man.
Ofcourse, it was always only going to be a matter of time before these peoples realised….”Hang on…we are becoming martyers fighting over here and the peoples of the pure are abusing the laws of Allah SWT”….so they have decided to do something about it for they “know better”.
Whatever has happened, whatever the reason behind this drama, whatever was his game, I am absolutely seething (just like muslims/wuslims all over), why did that lund use a burqa (and a ladies handbag) as a shield, why did he have to humiliate the sacred cloth of womens past, present (and kaffur future).
He was a religious scholar (so-called), why then , for Allah’s sake, …WHY!… why did he try to escape leaving girls inside the madrasa, he is a ridicule for islam, he is another fitna, who makes our religion a laughing stock…he must not be forgiven, (but no violence) na is jahan mein na aglay mein.
If he wants his peoples to go beating around these other people with their dandas and kashnakovs, then be ready to be also beaten up and then don’t run in Burqas and then release video cassettes from cave hideouts.
Students of Lal Masjid cannot be held to account alone….previous government policy has led us to this shameful yet comical point….and still no sharia. We seriously need to address this point….we are allah’s SWT peoples …and must live by his laws of peace.
After seeing those women in action this week, it's not fair to call them 'human shields' anymore. 'Militants' would be more apt.
Naseem
I have sympathy for the people affected by the floods. Its a shame that Westerners are not so well disposed now to the plight of Muslims, but there it is.
Why dont you try Saudi Arabia or Kuwait. They have plenty of money, and I'm sure they will respond generously.

That would include the idiots who tried their best to terrorize Britain recently and of course every woman (or man) who trundles about with a black sack over their head. LOL
Islamic Rage Boy is also a pathetic figure.....as are those clerics who continually call for martyrs in the name of that pisspoor excuse for a religion, but never heed the call themselves.
Islam is without doubt a cause for alarm but lets be honest folks it's a joke, albeit a sick joke.
Jihadtobejoking posted: as are those clerics who continually call for martyrs in the name of that pisspoor excuse for a religion, but never heed the call themselves.
Maybe the imams hate Islam, and are trying to get rid of as many fanatic Muslims (martyrs) as they can. The same can be said for Osama.
Islam is a war crime
So, Naseem, I frankly am all out of sympathy...I gave at the office.
You cannot come onto this board, advising us to convert, blah blah blah...then ask for a hand-out. We may be Westerners, but we're not Liberals.
3 items for you to try & get sometime in the future (take your time):
1) If you are get closer to your religion, is that with your eyes closed to keep from scrutinizing it?
2) The burqa-wearing, run-and-hide scholar you mentioned did so because he's a wuss-bag. I'll leave out my choicer words for the guy.
3) I will always be Kuffar (with a Capital K). No burqa in my future - EVER. So please shut up about it.
Islam is a war crime
Agreed.
Islam is crime against humanity.
...American has historically be a gracious and charitable country, often helping people of foreign countries recover from natural disasters...but when the only thanks we get are chants of "death to America" or dead journalists, dead photographers, dead travelors, dead Christians, dead soldiers, and other deaths all attributable to the same people we help, then it becomes very difficult to justify sending any aid at all...Judging by the way we are treated, I vote for no more aid to Muslim countries....
"No burqa in my future - EVER."
Miss Anthrope, right on!! If they get the chance to take us over they will bury me in my cute capris with my sandals and my toes done! Hefty Bags are for trash, not for girls.
Naseem, you're starting to worry me girlfriend.
You can't see the slightest relation between Sharia and the act of the cowards in your religion that you call "men"? Puleeeeeeezzze. These guys are all powerful while they're chopping off parts and raping your kids, but the second the shoe is on the other foot they turn into whining wimps.
Here are two movies that you have to see so you can start getting your mind out of your butt:
1) Dirty Harry with Clint Eastwood, 1971
2) Death Wish with Charles Bronson, 1974
This will accomplish two things. First, you'll get to see what real men look and act like, reserved and compassionate, but when you push them too far, they will take care of business. Neither of these two guys would be caught dead in a stupid, embarassing burqa.
Secondly, it will show you how tyrants act when they are in power and then when they are not. Notice the viciousness the bad guys use when dealing with other human beings. (They'll be easy to spot, they're the ones that act like Muslim men.) Then, compare and contrast their behavior, once they are caught and no longer in power. Embarassing, isn't it? More Sharia means more cowardly men taking their frustration out on the rest of mankind. That's not a good plan Nasseem, not even in your world.
Naseem, you have a hell of a nerve even thinking of asking us for aid to muslims !
DP111 suggests calling your buddies in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. I agree. No more aid to muslims anywhere, anytime, for all the reasons given by exsgtbrown.
My country lost six more of our brave soldiers yesterday, in the desert hellhole of Afghanistan. That's what we get for trying to help muslims.
I recall reading (not that long ago) about Western aid workers attempting to help victims in Pakistan (I don't recall if it was flooding, an earthquake, mudslides, whatever, in Pakistan). Anyway, the relief workers were appalled by the fact that the elderly (who were attempting to line up to receive food), the women and the children were all pushed aside as the men rushed forward. it was the men who demanded to receive the aid first (the women, the children, the elderly, the feeble, all the weaker ones) were shoved aside. It just reflects a wholly different set of values -- akin to "survival of the fittest".
hmmm...And I also recall those photos out of Iraq -- those orphan children chained to beds -- emaciated, starved, neglected...while the American soldiers who rescued them said that the people running the "orphanage" had plenty of food and supplies on hand. I guess "that's Islam."
Isabellathecrusader: "Hefty Bags are for trash, not for girls."
ROFLMAO! I LOVE that one...hope you don't me plagiarizing it!
I remember hearing people call them BMOs - Black Moving Objects. After seeing the video of the Lal Masjid surge, I said to the hubby: "Look! BMOs!"
On a serious note: I recall seeing NUMEROUS stories about men, or men from certain tribes or families, being able to push their way to the front of lines throughout the muzlim world.
It's disgusting to witness displays of such cruelty and disdain by those who claim to be the "better" half in muzlim societies.
When I know our aid will NEVER reach those I'd like it to, I wonder what the point of it all is, other than to pay our jizyah.
I currently donate ALOT, but not if I can't determines its PROPER use.
Judging by the way we are treated, I vote for no more aid to Muslim countries....
by exsgtbrown
Amen. After five years of jihad I actually passed up aiding the tsunami victims. American soldiers were among the first ones there helping them but their only response two years later is: what have you done for me lately?
I used to immediately donate to the Red Cross but now anytime I hear of a natural disaster in a Muslim country I go ho-hum, it's Allah's will, and go on about my business. Compassion is wasted. In any case, we should not have to buy civilized behavior from people. That Osama is still worshipped in those countries (what did al qaeda do for them?) says more about them than it does about us.
Naseem, I suggest you call Saudi Arabia or one of the many Islamic "charities".
Naseem
If Karachi is flooded, it's the will of Allah. How dare you question his will?
I've heard that Hamas and Hizbullah are charitable organizations - can you get them to send their volunteers down to Karachi? Incidentally, isn't the same true about Lashkar e Toiba, Jaish e Muhammad, Sipah e Sahaba, MQM, MMA, Lal Masjid gang, et al? All of the above are well funded from Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states: let them fund this effort now.
Naseem,
Since you have the most powerful god in all creation on your side, why are you asking for handouts?
Ask the lord of all worlds, all powerful, all knowing Allah to help you.
Likewise, I wonder why Allahs soldiers need human shields?
After all, the extremists get 72 celestial whores if they die and since Allah is all powerful and should theoretically be able to stop bullets, there should be no need for human shields.
Right? Or is Allah just a myth?
Quantum I, Islam's "Allah" is not a Deity who is "imminent". (Recall those theological debates about imminent versus transcendent?) In the religion of Islam, Allah is entirely transcendent. so to ask about Allah being a "shield" or somehow "intervening" is to misunderstand the nature of the "deity." (in the islamic world, you'd be succumbing to a pagan conception).
I expect Islamics to ask for welfare/jizya payment's. It's part of the game.
Naseem: I am absolutely seething (just like muslims/wuslims all over), why did that lund use a burqa (and a ladies handbag) as a shield, why did he have to humiliate the sacred cloth of womens past, present (and kaffur future).
Sacred cloth? Traditional maybe, historic maybe, but sacred??? Where in the Quran doe's it call a burka, 'sacred cloth'?
Naseem he did this because he is evil like all other Islamofascists all over the world. No reason to over complicate this. Nothing new here.

Miss Anthrope,
Plagiarize away, baby! I would be honored.
Uh-oh, where Naseem go?
Why dont you try Saudi Arabia or Kuwait. They have plenty of money, and I'm sure they will respond generously.

alla willing, of course :-)
Allahfanculo,
I was working my way through "Leaving Islam" by Ibn Warraq and read a story about a guy who knew another guy in his village who was a minor sort of preacher. The preacher was very devout and prayed to Allah constantly, but could not support his family, and he eventually died of starvation. This had a profound effect on the first guy and caused him to question Islam because if Allah is all powerful and all merciful, why did this guy who spent his entire life teaching about him and worshipping him die such a horrible death? How many prayers can you say to a moon god or a rock god before you realize there is nothing there?
Isabellathecrusader, the example you provide doesn't "invalidate" Islam. It's a problem (called "theodicy") present in all 3 monotheistic faiths -- that's how does one account for evil or why do the innocent suffer? (Each religion offers different "explanations" -- which I have zero intentions of going into). Anyway, the point is is that one could say precisely the same of any Christian (or Jewish) martyr. (The Hindus, of course, have an answer -- that's the invalidation of monotheism -- or that there are many gods, some good, some evil....that is the Hindu solution to the problem of "explaining" why evil things can be done to innocents. The problem is more complicated for the monotheistic religions.)
"...how does one account for evil or why do the innocent suffer?"
Well, evil came into the world in the form of pride and also disobedience. God offered everything to Lucifer and to Adam, and in the end they both rejected God's gifts in the quest to be God. That wasn't an option and God who is just, couldn't simply look the other way, so the sin of disobedience was punished and the gifts were lost. But because God loved his creatures He promised a future Reedemer to make up for those sins, which is pretty cool if you ask me.
The question of why the innocent suffer has a pretty simplistic answer, although to many people it is infuriating. God gave us a freewill and the freedom to choose as we may. When humans reject His gift of grace to live a life that edifys themselves and those around them, sin comes into play and causes pain and destruction for other people. While freewill ensures that man may choose to be good and loving, it also gives him the freedom to choose to be cruel and hateful. If man continually chooses his will over that of God's he becomes desensitized to other peoples' pain and will live only to please himself, regardless of the effects on other people. And because people have the right to choose and there will always be people who make the wrong choice, there will always be innocent people who suffer from the effects of evil in our society.
The teachings of Christ edify the soul. The teachings of loving your neighbor as your self, doing good to your enemies, forgiving your brother 70 x 7 times, going and making your piece with your brother before you worship God at the altar will always trump killing the Jews where you find them, smiting the necks of the unbelievers and killing those who apostasize from Islam. There is just no comparison. And since we all have that freewill to do as we like, sometimes you will have Christians who don't act very Christian towards there neighbors Muslims who do. But the big thing here is that Christians are obligated to be loving and deny themselves in favor of their neighbor, (and indeed, that is why so many anti-Christians hate Christianity, because they do not want to carry the yoke of that obligation,) but Muslims are obligated to hate anyone not Muslim and to seek the subjugation of those non-Muslims, and are given license to do whatever they may to force those people to be like them or eliminate them if they will not.
It is curious that anyone would consider God the Father and Allah to be one in the same when God the Father teaches charity, sacrifice for the good of one's neighbor, patience and forgiveness and when Allah teaches are exactly the reverse, no mercy for the infidel, (whoever that is,) revenge against one's neighbor as long as they are not a Muslim, vile punishments for minot infractions, and absolute obedience to the cause.
There's another example right there: God the Father wants obedience but he doesn't force it. Allah demands obedience and is willing to destroy anyone who will not obey. Is one system better for man than another? I think clearly there is.
But as far as my example above, the Muslim preacher who prayed all his life did not have his prayers answered. I can honestly tell you that mine are always answered by a God Who never lies and always, always helps me, and others, if I ask Him to.
Hmmm..Let me just say that there's another problem here...and this does not involve free will (or humans choosing to do evil). It's that of a child who contracts an incurable disease and suffers and dies. it's a baby animal who is born only to be hunted by a predator and torn to shreds. a rose is blighted. All of this is outside (beyond the ken) of mere humans.
I think that with Islam, the Allah god is aloof, austere, always pure. Never sullied by earthly matters. (I think there's a gnostic element to islam.) And I think to counter Islam, this aspect of the religion needs to be understood. (ie., it's attractive).
Well, there is the argument that disobedience leads to the common welfare being damaged, which would affect the child, the baby animal and the blighted rose that you cited above. We've seen how disobedience lost Lucifer his place in heaven and created eternal enmity between him and God, and all of God's creation, and we've seen that committing the original sin lost our first parents their place in the Garden of Eden which brought suffering into the world, not just for them but also for their children and all their posterity. Wow, that doesn't seem fair, but it is what it is.
The Blessed Mother has made many appearances throughout the last almost 200 years, always imploring her children to turn back to God and away from the thinking that brings them destruction and always warning about the consequences if we do not. She appeared to St. Catherine Laboure in France in 1830, at La Salette, France in 1846, at Lourdes, France in 1858 and at Fatima, Portugal in 1917. Perhaps the appearance at Fatima six months before the Russian Revolution is the most important apparition, because it was there that she told the three little children to whom she appeared that WWI would end but that if people didn't turn back to God an even worse war would come upon the world. She said that people would know it had arrived by lights appearing in the evening sky. There was an Aurora Borealis in Western Europe that appeared a month before Hitler invaded Austria.
The Blessed Mother warned that Russia would spread her errors throughout the world and that many nations would be annihilated. The Cold War certainly saw Russia spread her errors throughout the world. The enslavement of Russians and the Chinese, Eastern Europe after WWII, North Korea, Cuba, Vietnam and Cambodia all point to this having come true.
The Blessed Mother asked at Fatima that the Pope and all the bishops on one day consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart, and that if and when they did, there would be a period of peace throughout the whole world. While Pope John Paul consecrated the world to her Immaculate Heart, the consecration of Russia has not taken place. And now we see the rise of totalitarian Islam, Ahmadinejad is in bed with Hugo Chavez (now there's a pair), Castro is still alive and oppressing his people in Cuba, who knows what is going on with Putin over in Russia as he makes deals with Iran and claims the North Pole for his country. This place is a mess.
There is also the enmity between the Blessed Mother and Satan to consider. St. John talks about it in the Apocalypse, or Revelations for Protestant readers, that the two would be enemies and fight each other over us, but the Blessed Mother said at Fatima that in the end, her Immaculate Heart would triumph. It is interesting to note that the picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe that was miraculously impressed on Juan Diego's tilma back in the early 1500's, on a fabric that should have disintegrated long ago but which still exists today in Mexico, is of the Blessed Virgin standing on a crescent, an indication that she will bring it into submission. And the fact that she appeared at Fatima, a city in Portugal named for Mohammad's daughter, should not be lost on us.
As a believer, I have a different take on the child who suffers and dies young. Yesterday I was able to spend some time with my elderly father, my sister and her grand daughter's nine month old baby. This little boy is the sweetest thing. He entertained us the whole time we were together and I kept thinking what a little blessing he was and how he gave my dad such pleasure as he is getting ready to depart this world and doesn't feel well most of the time. But my dad forgot about his suffering for a while in the presence of this little boy. I think God sends children not only to perpetuate the human race but also to remind us how to behave and what is important in life. Sometimes they are only here for a little while and we feel a great loss when they die young, but what a gift they are for the little time we have them here. I believe God knows what he's doing, and He can give and He can take away without checking in with me on the subject.
This also makes me think of something else; what a tragedy abortion is because someone is conceived but not allowed to be born. But then, that is another example of someone exercising their freewill to the detriment of another.
As far as Allah being pure, I think you've got that right. Allah, by his supposed teachings and the acts he demands of his followers, is purely evil. But then I believe Allah to be Satan and through Islam he demands worship, which is manifested in continual human sacrifice, in the destruction of his followers, and in the enslavement of millions of people across the world. And wouldn't it be ironic if those who reject God and His teachings and accept only reason and freethinking as their creed, were enslaved by an ideology, like Islam, that allows no free thought whatsoever? That occurrence would certainly be in keeping with the Blessed Mother's warnings to turn away from evil and turn back to God or dire consequences would befall us.
Yes, the beautiful but fleeting moments. The other day we drove to the Rocky Mountains. It's breathtaking scenery. On the way back, on the side of the rode, there was a deer. The male deer are just getting their antlers (there's that fuzz on them still). this beautiful deer was grazing on the side of the road. It looked up (I thought how beautiful it was). Then as our car passed, I watched from the rear-view mirror -- suddenly, the deer spooked (the remind me of horses -- a noise startles them). For some unknown reason, the deer leaped up and darted across the road -- directly, head first, into the side of a speeding camper vehicle -- i just saw these parts of the deer flying off, like an explosion, and the deer's body hitting the pavement. Why? (I could see the accident coming -- why did the deer do this??) I'm assuming (hope?) the deer died instantly. So yes, fleeting...(and yet moments earlier I watched in amazement as a wolf darted out onto the road -- right in front of an on-coming car -- I was certain the wolf would be run over, become road kill -- but, no, the car violently slowed down, enabling the wolf to run back into the bush (from where it had come) and it was safe. Then this wolf (panting) paused to look back (I took some photos.)
Forgot to add -- about Islam. Which is better to be the pursuer or the pursued? to be the predator or the prey? I think of Islam as the pursuer and the predator...(the ravenous wolf).
Interesting analogy. First, the deer. I don't know why certain animals are killed and others aren't although I believe in the animal kingdom there is the law of survival of the fittest. That deer was just no match for that speeding camper. And I'd love to know why they jump in front of cars. I live in an area where there are a lot of deer and about five years ago I was on my way to work when I was driving through an area with a lot of forest. All of a sudden I looked to the right ahead of me and this deer came running out of the woods. He was so pretty and he turned and ran back and I thought to myself, oh good, he's not going to run in front of my car. Then just as quickly he turned back and ran into the back of my car and then ran back into the woods. I was stunned. What the heck? When I got to the office I checked the back and there was a big line of white something, I don't know what it was, but I definitely felt the impact so it came from the deer. Luckily my car wasn't damaged, but a few months later a girlfriend of mine hit a deer in her van when it ran out unexpectedly in front of her and it totaled her car. Go figure.
As far as Islam being predatory, I absolutely agree with you. Case in point, about ten years ago I dated a Muslim man who I did a lot of work with. Being a Catholic, I couldn't live with myself and told him I needed to stop dating him and asked if he would help me, and his words to me were these, "No, because I'm a predator." I promise you that's what he said to me. In my desperation to get out of that situation, which was really a form of enslavement, I turned to God and He rescued me.
Thinking back over that relationship I so clearly see now the problems with the Muslim mentality. This guy was the eldest brother and head of his family. In his family his word was law. He had brothers who were just a smart as he was but what he said went. He used to tell me all the time that I should become a Muslim but he only practiced the parts he liked. He would never engage me in discussions about politics which used to piss me off something terrible. I come from a very political family where it was the discussion du jour every night at the dinner table, but I guess he thought since I was a woman that I wouldn't be able to keep up.
This man could be unbelievably gracious and if I ever needed help he was right there. But I also remember one night going to a night club and when I clapped for a man that was in a group of dancers that were putting on a show in front of us, he looked like he was going to kill me. I was scared, but then I was mad. I remember thinking to myself, what just happened? How did this evening just end so abruptly? I watched for an opportunity, grabbed my stuff and bolted out of there. I was furious but I'll never forget that look in his eyes. I'm sure if we had been in his country, Iran, I wouldn't have made it out of there alive. The following week I went to talk to him and he gave me the best compliment I've ever had from a man. He said, this cannot work out because you cannot be controlled, and I said, I know, and he said, no, I really mean, you can't be controlled.
I guess if you've ever put up with B.S. in your life and then stopped putting up with it, it's almost impossible to do so again once you find out you can make it on your own. That's part of why I fight Islam so vehemently. Those jackasses aren't going to tell me how to live. And they are not going to force my kids and grandkids to not be Christians. That choice is for the kids and grandkids to make.
Thanks J.S., for being so civil here. I've enjoyed communicating with you.
I've also enjoyed these notes. I am very glad you got away from that relationship (it sounded like a potentially very dangerous one).
What day and what time will the parade be thrown in honor of these "heroes, lions and mighty ones?"
The halls of the "martyrs" needs another wing.
J.S.,
It was more dangerous to my soul than anything else. My Catholic conscience will not allow me to marry again and really, I have no desire to, but back then I hadn't made my peace with the single life yet. There's no way I would have brought another man into my kids lives, (an act for which they are eternally grateful,) but I was still trying to make bargains with myself on the subject. I made it through to the other side and have been able to help a lot of women friends do the same, which is very gratifying. And my daughters are pretty level headed about it, too. I think when life gets hard, people sometimes try and take a little shortcut and then they end up in the soup worse than when they started. Because of the Catholic thing I didn't have that option for anything permanent and I wasn't willing to ruin someone else's life by making a temporary commitment. In the end I was the one who suffered the most but I finally got tired of do that and over time things turned around in a wonderful way.
What gets me though is while I thought from knowing this guy and learning more about his life that Islam wasn't anything I'd ever be interested in, I didn't realize just how bad it was at the time. But coming to JW for the past three years and then remembering back to that relationship has helped me to be able to say that, yes, Islam does behave the way Robert says it does. And it is because of that behavior that I am vehemently opposed to it.
Naseem i have to say you are one devout and serious polisher of that tightly coiled pile on the neighbors lawn,no offence of course as i am sure what you say has no offence intended.
Your whole post was disturbing.
You have the guts to ask us for help because you had a flood as you talk of our erasure.Thats all the jizya in your book is for isn't it? so your hoity toities can have the worlds booty and the rest of you lower class fodder can go door to door to every dhimmi in your village and get yours.
I am sure my gov. gave more than it's share to our "ally" because of this flood.
My question is why ask the infedels for the money? Why can't your kings and grand poobahs fork over the dough?
Why is it you never ask your gov. for aid?
They have at least 10 years of guaranteed aid from the west. One of the biggest.
Why don't the taliban help you out?Give you some money, food and blankets.Medicine.
I have nothing further to add except keep polishing naseem you never know it just might be that it is a diamond in the ruffage (mis spelling was purposeful you figure it out)
