"Nothing has been found out about you"

Until now. London Jihad Update: "Andrews dishes dirt on Haneef," by Matthew Franklin and Bruce Loudon in The Australian (thanks to PRCS):

FREED terror suspect Mohamed Haneef was warned by his brother last month to use the birth of his daughter in India as a pretext to flee Australian authorities investigating bombing attacks in London and Glasgow, according to chatroom messages intercepted by investigators.

After Dr Haneef was told "nothing has been found out about you", he moved quickly, booking a one-way ticket to India and organising leave from his job at the Gold Coast Hospital.

Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews released the chatroom messages last night in an attempt to defuse criticism over his decision to strip the 27-year-old Dr Haneef of his work visa, despite a charge of recklessly assisting terrorists being withdrawn on Friday in the Federal Magistrates Court.

[...]

The exchange was revealed against a background of strident denials of any knowledge of terrorism by Dr Haneef, and his claim that he had tried repeatedly to contact Scotland Yard after hearing of the British bombing attempts. He had hoped to explain that he had left a mobile phone SIM card with a relative implicated in the attacks.

But the British authorities failed to return his calls.

In Bangalore, Dr Haneef's lawyer, Peter Russo, said the information revealed by Mr Andrews had been dealt with in a police interview. "It is more smoke and mirrors from the minister," Mr Russo told Southern Cross Broadcasting. "(Mr Andrews) has led the Australian public to believe that this is the secret information. It is hardly secret information if it was put to my client in the second record of interview ... the Director of Public Prosecutions would have had access to that when they were making their judgment call (to drop the case)."

Mr Andrews said the intercepts showed the brother of Dr Haneef saying, "Nothing has been found out about you", and asking him when he could leave Australia. "Today," Dr Haneef had replied.

Mr Andrews said the brother had then asked whether Dr Haneef had permission to take leave and that Dr Haneef had told his employer that his daughter, Haniya, had been born in India by emergency caesarian.

The brother had then advised: "Tell them that you have to as you have a daughter born, do not tell them anything else."

Mr Andrews said the brother also ordered Dr Haneef not to give his contact details to anyone and added that "Auntie told him that brother Kafeel used it in some sort of protest over there", in a reference to accused British bombing suspect Kafeel Ahmed.

Mr Andrews said Australian Federal Police had cited the exchange as possible evidence of Dr Haneef's "awareness of the conspiracy to plan and prepare the acts of terrorism in London and Glasgow".

"The AFP consider Dr Haneef's attempted urgent departure from Australia on a one-way ticket for a purpose which appears to be a false pretext to be highly suspicious," Mr Andrews said.

[...]

Earlier, Dr Haneef demanded the Australian Government apologise "to my peace-loving country and citizens". "Islam means love and peace," he said. "I do not want anybody to be victimised in the name of terrorism."

Yes and some gullible Australians are writing to the newspapers saying what a lovely man this doctor is and how ashamed they are of our government. One person said they wept when they saw the interview with him. How could Australia be so cruel to such a gentle man, one person said. That "gentle" man is a liar!

We don't want you back Doctor!

Q.E.D.

this dr death is practically a hero to the left. did you see the mass demos calling for his release? all those guilty white socialists proclaiming his innocence. guess what Brits. those socialists run the UK. we have effectively turned back a thousand years of british security, non invasion within 60 years. those white socialists want you dead my friends. it is more convenient that way, then you will not get in the way of their master plan of social compliance.

I was disappointed when I found out the charges were dropped, but then I realized that Australia wasn't allowing him to return. At least Australia has a strong enough government to stand up to the blind left wingers and terrorists/muslims. He was a threat to national security, just like the rest. Now they just need to kick the rest out. Islam is a terrorist organization, the faster people realize this the better.

I am glad that the Australian government has stated that he is not going to get an apology. It's nauseating seeing how obsessed both the Indian government and the Indian media is over this case. The fact that their myth about Indian Muslims not being Jihadis has been busted doesn't seem to bother them one bit.

Besides, as an Aussie minister points out, he may not be as innocent as he's being made out to be. The least the Aussies can do is ban him from returning to Australia: let the Indians suck up to him in Bangalore.

The Civilized world has to become anti-magnetic to Muslims.

They're beliefs are repulsive.

Time to let them be repelled.

By our common sense and common decency revolting against their vicious calls to intolerance and terror and domination and destruction.

When he was asked on television if he was a terrorist, instead of saying "no", he said "who me?"

Why didn't he just say no if he wasn't a terrorist.

PorkyPig
A lot of Aussies haven't fallen for this. I am just one of them.

The left is doing its darndest to boot the current government out and this is just another weapon.

What also annoys me is the fact that the local "60 Minutes" paid him $150K for an interview which made him look angelic.

The legal fraternity is claiming civil liberties are being eroded. This isn't good either as the govt is democratically elected so lawyers should put up and shut up, in this case.
This is a legacy of the WoT.

He gave his SIM card to a cousin. It was found in Liverpool. Why would anyone do that? I don't know.

islamists and their help, hired or otherwise:

a bunch of lying liars.

Ya gotta love it when these lying bastards are exposed.

What else is old and unchanged about islam ?

Yes, as usual the foolish indian dhimmis are practlly kissing his ass as they welcome and honor him on his return to India. If i were in charge of Banglore this muslim dr death would be sent one way ticket to jail until the investigation into his involvnment in terrorisim was through. but no, the MP of this state has instead welcomed him and even offered him a job in the government.

dgene,

Yeah, you gotta love it when they are exposed, and I do. But then I wake up the next morning and find that it's all been forgotten-- unless, of course, it involves a Qur'an and a commode.

I know everyone here has probably said this, in one form, or another, but I've just gotta get it off my chest:

Qur'an in the toilet--huge issue.

21 (remaining) Korean hostages to the Taliban--barely a squeak.

What's wrong with this picture?

i have heard it said so many times....not all muslims are terrorists. i now have a stock reply that not all nazis were bad.

islam is every bit as vile as nazism... how the hell can we get the message across that inviting muslims into our country is like a jew inviting a nazi home for dinner..... sooner or later your gonna regret it.

proud to be an aussie but frustrated that my people are waking up so slowly

My response to the insanity of those who support Haneef is "Taqqiya, Taqqiya" which is Ozzie slang for BS.

The day after the 60 Minutes interview, Channel 9 got in their panel of experts who look for things such as body language. The expert opinion was interesting because more than one of them suggested that Haneef was a liar. For instance he was seen to take a gulp before he gave a particular response, which is one of the things the experts look for when a person is lying.

I suspect, but have no proof that Haneef was in the habit of using a slight variation of his name in a jihadi chat room. It is really weird that someone with a very similar name proclaimed that London was to be bombed prior to the incident.

lol @ this haneef clown

He has no clue who ratted on him, if at all...or how anyone could've found out their OWN "secret"s, and he's become paranoid...typical narcissist who cannot fathom that they're not as important or smart as their self-important charade in their own mind hoped to be...the paranoia is eating him alive.

10 to 1, effective counterintelligence/counterterror played to his own weaknesses (which really aren't hard to find once ya know thine enemy) it's rather easy to turn it into a distinct advantage...and now we see the impending payoff starting to come to fruition.

Just more proof Sun Tzu was right...
"know thine enemy"

One seriously wonders whether this "lovely young man" would have actually returned to India for the birth of something as insignificant as a daughter. I doubt it very much.

Nope...it's long been established that was a lame ass-covering excuse to conceal his terrorist activities.

>> Dr Haneef demanded the Australian Government apologise "to my peace-loving country and citizens". "Islam means love and peace," he said. "I do not want anybody to be victimised in the name of terrorism."

"Islam means love and peace". Really??? Come on mate - pull the other leg, it's got bells on!

Didn't anybody know enough to come back with, "No: we happen to know that the word 'Islam' means 'submission'."

And then they could have quoted the Ninth Surah and asked whether he agreed with it, yes or no?

And the verses that forbid Muslims to make friends with non-Muslims - does he believe those are authoritative, yes or no?

Bearing in mind, of course, that Islam teaches him to lie through his teeth if he thinks the Ummah is threatened.

On further reflection: perhaps Dr Haneef did mean what he said, about ‘peace and love’ – only those words don’t mean the same thing for him, as for us.

I wonder whether, when Muslims talk about Islam being ‘peace’ and ‘love’, they are not talking in objective moral terms, that is, describing relationships between people, but rather, describing their subjective experience of what it is like to be ‘submitted’ to, controlled by, ‘allah’. It may be, for some devout or susceptible individuals, very real – even pleasant. Hypnotic, perhaps a trance state of some kind. And dangerous, because it suppresses the capacity and desire for independent judgement.

I am reminded of Rowlings’ description of Harry’s initial experience under the Imperius Curse - though of course, Harry resists and is able to break free.

In ‘Goblet of Fire’ the man impersonating Mad-Eye Moody puts the curse on a spider and tells the class that the curse (effected with the word ‘Imperio!’, i.e. “I command!/ I rule!”) gives him “total control…I could make it jump out of the window, drown itself, throw itself down one of your throats”.

He adds - “The Imperius Curse can be fought, and I’ll be teaching you how, but it takes real strength of character and not everyone’s got it. Better avoid being hit with it if you can. CONSTANT VIGILANCE!” he barked, and everyone jumped.’ (Is Rowlings alluding, with Moody’s catchphrase ‘constant vigilance!’, to the well-known line that ‘the price of liberty is eternal vigilance’?).

When Moody puts the curse upon Harry, this is what happens: “It was the most wonderful feeling. Harry felt a floating sensation, as every thought and worry in his head was wiped away, leaving nothing but a vague untraceable happiness”. [Is something like THIS what some Muslims mean, when they talk of the ‘peace’ of Islam – the spiritual/ religious equivalent of a heroin hit?].

‘He stood there, feeling immensely relaxed, only dimly aware of everyone watching him.

And then he heard Mad-Eye Moody’s voice echoing in some distant chamber of his empty brain. ‘Jump onto the desk’. Jump onto the desk.
Harry bent his knees obediently, preparing to spring.
‘Why, though?’ Another voice had awoken in the back of his brain: ‘Stupid thing to do, really’, said the voice.
‘Jump onto the desk.’
‘No, I don’t think I will, thanks’, said the other voice, a little more firmly. ‘No, I don’t really want to’.
‘Jump! NOW!’
The next thing he felt was considerable pain. He had both jumped and tried to prevent himself from jumping – the result was that he’d smashed headlong into the desk, knocking it over and, by the feeling in his legs, smashed both kneecaps.
‘Now that’s more like it,’ growled Moody’s voice; and suddenly he felt the empty, echoing feeling in his head disappear. He remembered exactly what was happening, and the pain in his knees seemed to double.”

Then, toward the end of the book Voldemort, having tortured Harry, wants to force him to beg for mercy by answering ‘No!’ when asked if he wants to be tortured again, and uses the Imperius curse.

“’Answer me. IMPERIO!’
And Harry felt…the sensation that his mind had been wiped clean of all thought, ah, it was BLISS not to think, it was as though he was floating, dreaming. [“It was bliss not to think” – yeah – that sounds exactly like what Islam offers, doesn’t it? They just can’t understand that lots of us non-Muslims find bliss in thinking, not in not-thinking!].
‘Just answer, No. Say, No. Just answer No.’
‘I won’t do it. I won’t say it.’
‘Just answer no.’
‘I WON’T’.
And these words burst from Harry’s mouth; they echoed through the graveyard and the dream state was lifted, as suddenly as though cold water had been thrown over him – back rushed the aches the Cruciatus curse had left, all over his body, back rushed the realization of where he was and what he was facing.
‘You won’t?’ said Voldemort. ‘You won’t say, ‘No!’. Harry, obedience is a virtue I need to teach you before you die…perhaps another little dose of pain…”. And so on.

Now, allowing for the fact that a Muslim - born or reverted - ‘chooses’ their submission, I do wonder whether the effects of Muslim devotional practice, upon some, may not be similar to the effect of the fictional Imperius curse. What if the psychological effects Rowlings imagines here, for a victim of the Curse, are, shall we say, …analogous to the experience of some devout Muslims? Mind-wipe. Bliss; dream state. Floating. No more thinking for oneself, no more choosing…inshallah. ‘Peace’… and ‘love’…sure.

And…doing whatever is commanded, even unto destroying oneself and others. In Rowlings’ story, people under the Imperius curse, controlled by Death Eaters, murder their nearest and dearest, and are talked of by Death Eaters as having been ‘converted’. Think of the Muslim story about a man who, after becoming a Muslim, had killed his non-Muslim benefactor, at Mohammed’s command. A non-Muslim, observing this, asks – HOW could someone do that? Answer: he was ‘mainlining’ Islam.

But, then, also, the description of what is required to resist the curse and ‘wake up’, the little voice that hears the things being commanded and says to itself in the depths of the soul - ‘Stupid thing to do, really. No, I don’t think I will, thanks’, ‘I WON’T!’ – reminded me very much of Ms Hirsi Ali. Only those graced with exceptional strength of will and conscience can free themselves, by themselves, of the mind-numbing blanket of Islam; conversely, in the West, it is the damaged souls, those weak in will or conscience, who succumb most readily.

In dealing with Islam we need people with clear, hard heads, who know that ‘spiritual’ does not necessarily mean ‘good’. People who in interrogating a Mr Haneef will not be bamboozled by smiles and talk of ‘peace’ and ‘love’, but will tread warily, as with any member of a classic closed cult.
