Faisalabad (AsiaNews) – It is dangerous to say that Christ is the son of God because this declaration “hurts the feelings of many Pakistani Muslims” who “do not want to hear such things, even in Christian Churches”. This warning was delivered by some residents of Punjab to local Christian congregations who “should immediately stop their prayers to the supposed son of God”.It was Charles Hamilton, a Christian from Faisalabad, who told AsiaNews about this: “We believe in Jesus, son of God. How can we renounce this belief? What’s more, if we bow to this request, not only will we go against our religious values, we will pave the way for more conditions to be imposed on us, which would destroy us.”

I am reminded of the Book of Daniel 3:1-18, where everyone has to prostrate themselves before the golden image of King Nebuchadnezzar, on pain of death, and three Jewish boys refuse; and they tell the King flatly that even if their God does NOT rescue them from the burning fiery furnace, they will not bow down.

NOTE: This is another news item that should be in every Christian diocesan newspaper and parish newsletter in the world, and which should be put under the nose of any Christian, clergy or lay, who plans to attend an 'interfaith' gathering or is talking nonsense about Muslim 'peacefulness' and 'tolerance' and how we are brothers with Muslims because they belong to 'an Abrahamic faith'.
What he means is when Muslims get their feelings hurt, they get violent and kill and destroy. It's a veiled threat to renounce Christianity or die.
These stories about Muslim "sensitivity" are legion. Muslims must explain why their feeling are more important than others. Muslim's are among the worst human rights abusers in the world. They must explain why this is the case! In the West, Muslims enjoy many many rights, however a Christian is not allowed to even live. If we can not publicly worship the Holy Trinity ... including Jesus as the Son, then this is genocide of Christians. Is Islam genocidal of Christians and other religious people by not allowing them full rights for worship?

So, it is more important to witness the plight of Christians in Faisalabad, great though it is, than it is to witness the plight of Christians in many of the Western countries to which we all belong.

And they are supported by a renegade, leftist and ignorant government the members of which are traitorous to their own kind and intent upon only one thing - winning the next election! Sometimes, democracy sucks!
Just to make it clear, this is West Punjab, that achieved "independence" from Infidel India in 1947. Now it is a part of the land of the pure (pakistan).

DIRECT Democracy RULES.. see Switzerland.. they are putting a ban on minaret-building [prayer rockets] on a PUBLIC BALLOT and NOTHING their POLOticians can do about it!!
Democracy needs more tools for the PEOPLE and it WILL WORK JUST FINE!
I just hope they don't have some weird Court/judges to strike down the People's verdict, the outcome of which is clear to all! See Prop. 187 in California which was sued against by special interest groups and subsequently struck down by leftist activist judges.

The muslim in Europe and North America have nothing to do with Christian not being allow to practice they religion belief. First the Hight Court ruleing that ended school prayer in school was than good ruleing. First too many school make it manority to prayer even if you donot believe in Allah. In my early school day the ast schoolmaster would prayer to Allah to murber all the Roman Cathor and the next day the School Master would pray to Allah to murber all Protants Christian is this what you mean by christian prayer in public, I once told this story to than Jewich Religious Leader and he was shock by some manority school prayer offer by lay member and the impact on children mind. I never hear a muslim praying to Allah to murber christian yet.

He alone is called "Isa", which means Savior (3:45). Further, the Koran declares Muhammad was a sinner (9:42;40:55;47:19;48:2;294:1-3 etc) while Jesus was sinless (19:17-19)."

You need to be corrected. The truth is that as many posted video and audio tapes online can attest, there are a lot of Friday prayers and sermons that do preach violence against Jews and Christians. So please do not deny the truth.

Well, somehow I don't think Jesus being address as the Son of God isn't going to stop in Christian churches. More likely Christian martyrdom (and not the "martyrdom" of a suicide bomber either) from Islamic persecutions will happen instead.
I don't recall Jesus 'fornicating' with anyone.

it is unfortunate that the muslims were offended by god having a son. jesus listed unbelief in himself as the only sin of the world that disqualifies anyone from eternal life.
jesus' birth was a virgin birth, so no sex was involved. maybe the muslims thought sex was involved and were insulted by this.
hopefully that was the misunderstanding. god did not have sex with Mary, but the holy spirit overshadowed her causing the pregnancy and that's what makes jesus' blood so powerful, because it is supernatural blood.
the only sin that god has to count against man is the rejection of jesus, because that is the only place where life is found. because we are all born dead spiritually, unbelief is the only sin that can't be forgiven but has to be changed within each individual. all other sins were and are continually taken away by christ's cross.
jesus' cross cleansed the world of it's sins, from creation through eternity, so god is not dealing with humanity on the basis of sin, death and punishment, but on the basis of faith in his son. those who refuse christ unfortunately remain spiritually dead.
after taking away the world's sins, christ rose from the dead, and now we can receive his life living in us through faith alone. there is no performance required or jumping through hoops to receive christ. christ is received entirely and only through the spiritual realm.
hopefully some of the muslims experienced the freeing power of god's love that casts away all fear. that is what it means to be born again of the spirit. love, joy, peace, patience, kindness. against such things there is no law. christ sets people free, and the eternal life, once received, cannot be lost or taken away by any future sins committed or the punishments of men.
