She said it would be easy for human smugglers to do well in the community.
"There's a lot of empty houses and land everywhere," she said.
Gardea said the possibility that some undocumented immigrants might be from Iraq is unsettling.
"It makes me think of terrorism," she said. "They're so close. Anything can happen. It's very scary."
ABC News reported that the FBI was investigating the possibility that Iraqi and other Middle Eastern immigrants might have been entering the country illegally through a smuggling operation based in Chaparral for more than a year.
Empty houses, lots of land, undeveloped desert for miles....what a perfect place for all those "OTM" to go to. People, our southern borders are being invaded! The smugglers have found that "OTM" pay a LOT more to cross the border than the regular "Illegals" with prices as high as $25,000. So if poverty is a reason for terrorism I see a dichotomy here. More border security: troops, dogs, towers every 100 yards with a no-mans land 100 yards wide filled with maines and sand, surrounded with razor wire we need NOW!

Having received my early education in Catholic schools, I am not opposed to "collective" punishment on occaision.
It amazes me that, with all the media reporting on illegal immigration, there has been no serious discussion of cutting off all immigration from Mexico until the border is secured. Similarly, the money transfers from this country to Mexico should be suspended.
That's the message Mexico needs to get.
Who really cares? The federal and state governments are not doing anything about it so why should I waste my time and anxiety on it. I have campaigned for a border fence for years to no avail. I could care less now what comes across the border. I have my life to live. If this country goes down a rat hole--so what, no one here wants it anyway. Just look at congress.

For what it's worth, during a press conference this week Ms. Townsend of Homeland Security flatly stated that US resources should be used to track terrorists within our borders and not to hamper "illegal aliens" seeking "economic opportunity". I remember reading a story about a military guy who decided not to use a realtor when selling his house back at the beginning of the housing boom in 2000. He thought he was really smart because he saved some money and made an extra $5000 more than he'd expected. But the real estate agent who brought the buyer was even smarter because he realized the seller had listed the house for $25,000 less than it was worth. The seller didn't know this though and went off with his extra $5000 and a smile on his face. So the seller was happy, the buyer was ecstatic and at the end of the day everybody got what they wanted.

Just this week...news about two missing Virginia teenagers, hmmm. Well they were found in Georgia and (was arrested?...two illegal aliens from Mexico. )Now these teenagers got missing at Herndon, Virginia. Isn't this place a Islamic hordes area and also MS-13 gang?

As regards the Latino community, both those who are longterm residents in the USA, those who are coming in, and the Spanish-speakers of central and southern America - is anybody, ANYBODY, translating Robert's books into Spanish? If it hasn't happened yet, surely there is someone lurking here who has fluent Spanish and could do a nice translation for Robert, for free, as a public service...? Are there any good, solid, attractively presented anti-jihad websites or blogs run by Spanish speakers?

How 'bout a graphic novel/ manga-style comic book street-Spanish version of the PIG to Islam? With a special extra chapter devoted just to Spain - the Muslim invasion, the Muslim occupation, and ...the Reconquista by generations of heroic Spanish people.
The New World Hispanics need to be reminded of the heroes in their past who booted the Moors out of Spain after EIGHT HUNDRED YEARS of Muslim tyranny. Let them know that the modern day jihadists have followed them to the New World and have precisely the same intentions as they had when they invaded Spain in the 8th century.
