Suicide attackers in Pakistan stopped three times by police, but allowed through

On Muhammad's birthday last year. Is this a Keystone Kops Alert, or a Complicity Alert? In Pakistan, you never know. "Alleged Nishtar Park bomber was thrice stopped by police on the way," by Faraz Khan in the Daily Times:

KARACHI: According to police interrogations into the Nishtar Park bomb blast, the men who went on the mission allegedly with a loaded suicide bomber's jacket were in a taxi that was reportedly stopped thrice by the police on the way but was allowed through.

Eight men have been nominated by the police in the case, including alleged suicide bomber Mohammad Siddique. The other accused men are Mufti Zakir Hussain Siddiqui, Sultan alias Mehmood, Mohammad Amin alias Khalid Shaheen and Rehmatullah alias Rehmat. The absconding accused are Amanullah alias Mufti Ilyas alias Jamal, Qari Abi and Khalid alias Abrar Darey Wala. The police believe that three of the main accused are absconding in a "no-go" area in the NWFP which is why they have yet to be arrested.

The alleged suicide attack took place on April 11, 2006, on Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) in which 54 people, including the top leadership of the Sunni Tehrik were killed and hundreds were injured at Nishtar Park in Karachi.

Muhammed has a birthday? I thought he was Spawn of Satan, and who knows when Satan was "born."

Behold the Tolerance & Peace of Islam...Looks like 'Mushie' is walking a dangerous tightrope in
Crapistan-keeping Jizya money from U.S ally to pay his soldiers [not that he can be sure of their loyalty] whilst making concessions to Jihadis.
In other words he 'hunts with the hounds and runs with the hares' playing a double game which
can only result in his assasination from Muslims on both sides. If it wasn't for nukes would we care?
Just to add to West's woes see Turkish army is massing on Iraq frontier-which ding dongs wanted to admit them to E.U!!

I'm pleased, in a way, that an example of police negligence has been reported on this site because I was wondering how I might bring to the attention of this site's readership a situation of a similar nature much closer to home.

This incident occurred in San Francisco, California.

At around 3:45 pm on Saturday July 7, I entered the BART concourse at Powell Street, which was very busy, it being the entry and exit point from the underground platforms as well as being a location where large department stores provide exits as shortcuts to the BART service.

I noticed that a person had set up a table within the concourse with a large sign on it, displaying copies of Islamic books, directly in front of an informational display and in a position which impeded access to the ticket dispensers. I have a disability, and find it difficult to negotiate busy or crowded areas safely, so I was surprised that anyone should be permitted to further congest an enclosed and restricted area such as this, particularly on the busiest shopping day of the week.

I asked a passing BART police officer if the person standing behind the display table had been granted a permit to display there, and she was not able to confirm that, but did confirm that a permit would be required. She referred me to her sergeant, and so I explained to him that I suspected that the person with the display did not have a permit, and that as a fare-paying BART passenger I objected to the display taking place there, in apparent breach of BART regulations. I showed the officer my ticket to confirm that my presence there was lawful and that my concern was legitimate.

The police sergeant told me that he did not know whether a permit had been issued, but told me that he was not willing to take action because in his view, the person with the display was exercising his right of freedom of expression. This of course was preposterous, since if it were true, then it would mean that anyone could do the same, and I gained the distinct impression that the officer simply could not be bothered to do anything in spite of being presented with a likely breach of the law, and thought that I was easier to 'get rid of' than the person with the unauthorized display.

Upon returning home I wrote a complaint about this on the BART website's comment page, http://www.bart.gov/guide/overview/contactBART.asp, but have not yet received any response.

Although it is a serious matter, the irony and humor of the situation did not escape me - I would invite you to acquaint yourself with something along the same lines which took place over a century ago, not far from the present-day location of the Powell Street BART station.

It could be that the cops were merely too lazy (err...busy) to pursue the matter, but it is also very possible that they have been mau-mau'ed into being fearful of challenging a "minority" businessman selling islamic books. One wonders if the same slack would be offered to a white Christian fundamentalist. San Francisco, with its large gay population and colorful mayor must be an interesting place to be a muslim.

That a nuclear nation armed with the best our best military technology allows a no-go zone is, well, disturbing.

It's even more disturbing that the guys from the “no go” zone have anti-aircraft guns outside of Islamabad military bases and are able to get off clear shots at the President’s plane during takeoff. This incident happened on Friday:

The shooters ‘got away’.

Let's hope Mushy doesn't go wobbly.

(Our Special Forces teams better be sitting on the tarmac waiting to head in and secure the Paki nukes should a jihadist coup succeed.)

Just wait until some "good Muslims" finally get their grubbies on nuclear weapons. The mere threat of such terror will cow all of Europe into appeasing Islam at a rate that will make the past few years look like a snail race uphill by comparison.
