The jetsetting jihadist was about to hop onto another plane, this time to go to Singapore. "Bomb plot suspect arrested in Brisbane," from Australia's ABC News (thanks to JE):
A 27-year-old man has been arrested in Brisbane in connection with the attempted car bombings in London and Glasgow.Queensland Premier Peter Beattie confirmed the man had been arrested at Brisbane International Airport last night and a number of search warrants were being executed across south-east Queensland.
Reports said the man had been arrested as he tried to board a flight to Singapore.
Mr Beattie said Attorney-General Philip Ruddock had decided against upgrading Australia's level of terrorist threat, which remains at medium.
Earlier British police confirmed that an eighth suspect had been arrested but would only say the person was detained at an "undisclosed location."
Water-board the punk.
We need to profile the active jetsetters now.
Many can be stopped before they can continue or begin killing infidels.
Why do you think this is not being done?
OT
But I just watched Michelle Malkin sitting in for Bill O'Reilly. She had Steve Emerson on. It was really good. This show will be repeated in Oz later today, and also at 6pm AEST as far as I know.
@ Mick
Good to hear. We are all sick of this.It is a global 'sicknes'.
That fellow wasn't very bright flying to Australia first of all places.
Foe
he was already working here as far as I can tell. He was on his way out. Possibly not a citizen either.
Foe,
More here, and more details will no doubt come.

Hey...that's MY part of the world!
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Time for ALL hospitals in non-Muslim countries to stop hiring Muslim doctors, no matter what. We just cannot afford the risk. Some of them might be OK...but there is just NO way to tell the difference between the alright ones, and the ones that just might start murdering their kuffar patients or, heaven forbid, sloshing bioweapons around, let alone cooking up a common or garden bomb plot like this one was.
There's just one mosque in the Gold Coast, where this guy was working. I hope the Federal Police, the Queensland Police Force and ASIO are putting the imam and the congregation through the wringer - and checking the mosque library and the literature that the imam has in his bookshelf at home. Might be worth looking for Ibn Kathir and Mr Qutb, eh?
If I'd been one of his patients I'd be seriously worried.
Let me guess - this suspect's first name is "Mohammed."
How'd I do? A good guess?
The Australian dude is also a doctor.
Mark Steyn suggests a revised Hippocratic oath for jihadists: "First, do harm." And here's a potentially important insight. A couple of the doctors came to the West as soon as they could:
"In other words, although both doctors trained in their home countries, neither of them practised there. As soon as they qualified, they left for the west, whose government health services have a chronic shortage of medical personnel that can only be filled by fast-track immigration from almost anywhere on the planet. If that's a strategic decision to exploit a vulnerable express check-in to the western world (as they did with Britain's fast-track imam immigration program of the Nineties), it's an extremely canny one."

Naming of the 12 most radical imams in Australia
The cancer is everywhere.
Why don't we simply have the courage to deport them?
StillBreathing As I have pointed out elswhere the number of medical graduates in Australia is held in check by two groups:
1) the politicians who dislike to waste money unless it is on their salaries;
2) the specialist medical colleges who do NOT want too many specialists out there so as to maintain the sellers' market which sees almost NONE of them bulkbilling aged pensioners.
This is why we have so few doctors and why we must steal them from developing countries and it is DISGUSTING!!
I know of five australian teenagers who would be GOOD doctors and who would go for general practice but who cannot get into the quotas because of the bias, the cronyism and the nepotism behind the selection process at some Australian medical faculties.
Universities get a bonus for each disabled or female or ethnic graduate so guess which groups get priority?
It puts your average nonethnic australian behind the eight ball unless he has relatives or family friends on the selection committee.
dumbledoresarmy
They have permission to build a mosque in Cairns.
This has been extensively covered by Sheik Yer'Mami at considerable risk to him and his family. (don't have the link handy).
Catering for all the tourists flying "Emirates", who needs them?
I will most definitely be very careful of the doctors, should I ever have to go to emergency health care.
We must do without these doctors somehow. Look what happened with Jayat Patel. How many people did he kill in Bundaberg? Thankfully they are going to extradite him from North America.
Happy Birthday America!!!!!!!!
Now get out of Iraq, Afganistan, Kuwait, Qatar, Palestine, Lebanon....
According to LGF, this fellow is also a 'youthful' physician.
So it's 6 muslim physicians and counting so far. Looking at the Drudge headline
One can't help but recall the medical/emergency response community breaches reported as long as a couple of years ago . . .
Consider if any of the attempted jihad attacks this week did succeed.
Given the corruption in ME countries a university diploma in most cases is not even worth the paper it is written on.
If we hold the standards high for our own people and then we allow some jihad freaks with some doctored papers into the country we are beyond help.

..just for Pez..sometimes a man can be a shmuck
..but that doesnt define him..Pez..i have to agree in the instance of which you spoke,,thats shmuck..
progresive
These guys are innocent? Has your brain been fried?
Islam doesn't teach violence, really?
Get yourself a map of the world and study every country that exhibits muslim violence. Open your eyes. Where is this violence coming from then?
These jihadis admit they do it in the name of allah. Get real and stop being in denial.
Ok,,make a deal with you. Westerners get out of muslim countries and ALL muslims out of any western lands, and add India and Thailand to that also.
Sheik, thanks for that:)
progresive,
In my view, no Muslims are 'innocent', for Islam itself is evil.

AN Indian-trained doctor living on the Gold Coast has been detained and a second doctor is being questioned by police in Brisbane in relation to the UK terror plots.
A 27-year-old doctor was arrested by counter-terrorism police at Brisbane International Airport just before midnight yesterday after a tip-off from British police.
It is understood the doctor was headed for India via the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, on a one-way air ticket, but had not resigned from his job at the Gold Coast Hospital.
We all have our schmuck moments Madduck. I'm well above my quota. Hackworth was well under his, given his service to the Country. Passions can run high in patriots.
Perhaps 'progressive' was being sarcastic!
Of course, perhaps I am being obscurantist and sarcastic - who knows!
I don't want to be confused for "progresive". From now on, I will "sign my comments.
It might be just as well, whilst we're at it, to remember Peter Beattie's credentials, for he is not a man whom we might wish to trust -
"A determined advocate of international trade as a means of increasing employment, Mr Beattie led trade and investment missions to many countries, including ... Malaysia ... and the United Arab Emirates. He also believes that Queensland’s multiculturalism is a great strength, with people from many different backgrounds being great ambassadors for the State in their former home countries."
Really!
(The above quote from
http://www.thepremier.qld.gov.au/about/bio.shtm
Which says it all, really.)
I don't want to be confused for "progresive". From now on, I will "sign my comments.
Ex-lover of Jesus.
My apologies.
Could you close the quotes. It would make understanding so musch easier!
I don't want to be confused for "progresive"(the bastard stole my name),from now on I will end my comments with this: ex-lover of jesus.
I don't want to be confused for "progresive"(the bastard stole my name),from now on I will end my comments with this: ex-lover of jesus. For all of you christian brothers, don't stone me!!!!!!!!!!!!
"...musch..."/
Apologies. One too many pilgrimages (Scotch and Diet Coke - drink one, you'll know why it's called a 'pilgrimage'!).
Heavens above, will you two sort this out, please! You're just re-inforcing my schizophrenia, and that's not a good thing!
Some one, or two unknowns can't spell "progressive" correctly, and now confusion and lunacy reigns.
I didn't think fiction was generally posted here.
Surely, Gramfan, lunacy will always reign when the moon god is the subject of discussion?
Ok I need some advice here. Maybe I'm just over reacting but my boss is an Iranian woman and for the first time I am being sent out of town on business. She has asked me to take something to a friend of hers. The items are an Iranian magazine and a tube of hair gel. Of course I told her I would but now I'm feeling freaked about the whole thing. What do you think?
Jack
"Of course I told her I would but now I'm feeling freaked about the whole thing. What do you think?"
Jack, it should be ok.
Just don't expose the hair gel to naked flame ;)
>>Surely, Gramfan, lunacy will always reign when the moon god is the subject of discussion?

The problem, dear Gramfan, is that so many of our politicians have taken Virgil literally - at least in this context - and truly believe the moon god belief is both friendly and soundless. Poor deluded fools! Poor us!
Tacitae per amica silentia lunae
seems to be their watchword when it comes to the "strange, and strangely behaving, mahommetan" (Chaucer).
ex lover of Jesus
Have you found a better one to love?
If so please share it with us.
If not then please say so as there are many atheists and agnostics here most of whom see no
point in placing saliva on Islam's backside.
In reply to yr above:
Happy Birthday Muhammad/ Abdul/ etc!!
Please get out of ALL western countries before you are made to do so without your assets.
Peter Beattie's explicit role in the gaoling of Pauline Hanson shows his true dirty colours for all to see.
He is another dangerous Labor fool.
Strangely enough, until then I thought him to be the best of a bad bunch.
Jonathan Ralbrooke
Yes, true!
MisIslamist
I can see the day when Pauline Hanson is going to say, "I told you so", if she hasn't already.
Trouble is back then she had the wrong ethnic group, but not now.
Imagine her and Fred Nile being the only ones game enough to tell the truth.
Beattie is a worry. Wall to wall Labor is a BIG worry!
I think it is long past due that Western governments hold a summit to discuss "the Islamic threat" to civilization -- not the "extremist threat," not the hyjackers of Islam threat," not the Islamo-Facist threat," not the "al Qaeda" threat," not the "hamas or Hezbolla" threats," but the "Islamic threat."
It's time we drop all the euphemisms to describe something that can be packaged into one name, Islam.
Whenever we use euphamisms to describe the root cause of all the terrorism in ther world, we are telling the Islamic world that there's nothing inherently wrong with their religion, that it is a highly moral and peaceful belief system, and there is no evidence to suggest otherwise.
All the evidence necessary to convict Islam in a court of law is present in it's sacred and God-given scriptures.
Unless we confront them with the evidence, and demand answers to some tough questions, we're going to be plauged by their muderous beliefs for a long time to come.
Western governments -- along with other governments representing people victimized by Muslims -- have a responsibility and duty to force the Islamic world to listen to the truth -- like it or not.
Rational..totally agreed!! And this site is the first step in such a direction.
The problem is that doing so lumps the "good Muslims" with the bad but my my logic there isn't much difference bewteen those doing now what their prophet says and those waiting until they have a majority to do it.
Gramfan I like neither party but I am on the side of that one which is most aware of the islamic threat and that means the liberals unless we can find a new party which does so.
Guys, "progressive" is a muslim TROLL. DON'T FEED IT.

CGW...it is more fun pulling its posts apart and chopping up its logic. Have you noticed just how anaemic it has become in its posts? Nothing like trapping a liar with their own lies. You will note that it totally refuses to debate but snipes from afar. So typical. At least it will receive no death threats from us fro so doing.
Progressive you stupid shi'ite, you are a day off. It is the third here, not the 4th. Send all the Muslims in the states back where they came from and we'll talk. Don't worry, we'll get out of Muslim countries just before we drop our nukes. Wouldn't want our troops to get any fallout. Have fun when all our carrier strike groups get to the Persian gulf. That reminds me, we need to think of a suitable new name for it after we take it over. How about Crusaders Gulf? Has a nice ring to it, don't you think?
I've got a name for it:
Kul Khara We Moot
or
Yahreq Neenak
"Progressive" "Ex-Lover of Jesus" (whatever),
Care to translate for us?
:)
Crusaders Gulf?
No, that can be turned around when THEY launch the next battle in the ongoing Muslim crusade.
How about the Gulf of Christ?
