BAGHDAD (AFP) - The US military on Monday accused Iranian special forces of orchestrating an attack that killed five US soldiers in Iraq and of using its Lebanese Hezbollah proxy to help train Iraqi fighters.Brigadier General Kevin Bergner told reporters that captured militants accused of ordering the January attack on a US compound in Karbala admitted that senior leaders from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards' unit supported the strike.
The accusations appear to be part of a mounting campaign by US officials to prove alleged links between Iran and the violence in Iraq.
The militants "said that senior leadership leading the Quds Force knew of and supported planning for the eventual Karbala attack that killed five coalition soldiers," Bergner said.
How sad, how utterly pathetic, that America is now a country that permits others -- like Iran -- to commit repeated acts of war against us without consequence.
Where is the moral courage that allowed us to crush the Nazis and smash the Japanese Imperialists? It is gone, long dissipated by decades of education under leftist intellectuals dedicated to the notion that western civilization is responsible for all of mankind's problems.

What a circle. Since US won't get the right tools to do this probably we need to pull out! I hate to say that! We need more than this to fight! Using our bodies and not out minds and tools. IRAN GETS AWAY WITH MURDER
President Bush said after 9/11 that any nation that harbors terrorists or provides material aid to terrorist he will consider a terrorist nation and a military enemy of the United States.
Everybody, except dishonest Lefties, KNOWS that Iran is fueling the violent resistence to establishing a strong democratic government in Iraq. We have read report after report about Iranian machinery and weaponry being confiscated from the militant terrorists attacking US and Coalition peace-keeping troops in Iraq.
Yet the US has taken no serious action against Iran for their funding of attacks against our soldiers!
Iran knows that the US is internally weakened by the anti-American Democratic party in whom the terrorists all put their hope and trust for an Islamic victory. Thus, they don't take our threats seriously when we warn them to stop making nuclear bombs and stop attacking our troops in Iraq. THEY OPENLY DEFY THE US AND THE UN AND OPENLY CONTINUE TO DEVELOP NUCLEAR WEAPONS.
There is NO BETTER time to wipe out Iran's military and nuclear facilities than NOW, before they have functioning nuclear weapons. Of course, if we do that, domestic terrorism will increase, but that will help us WEED OUT ALL THE CRICKETS chirping in the shadows of our great nation and put up a wall of separation bw the West and Islam, as there should be.
Let's wipe out Iran's military and nuclear facilities like they're begging us to, and let's do it now.
Since we have a trump card in place, there's an advantage to restraint, at least for the moment... we have all the reason we need to counterattack them, but...if the west if attacked in some "spectacular" fashion this soon after we have irrefutable proof of irans involvement, it would have far greater impact and influence, not only on us here, but the entire world-and they won't have a damned thing to say about it either (unless they wish to come off as the aiders, abettors, and total kooks they really are).
Restraint for the moment is the wise move...
