A message from the America's Truth Forum

Friends:

America’s Truth Forum intends to host its third in a national series of educational symposiums October 26 through 28 in the Midwest. The event, by design, will not only prove to be intellectually controversial, but should serve as a catalyst to awaken our citizenry and generate much-needed media coverage. Due to security protocol, the exact location of the venue will not be disclosed for several more weeks.

As you know, America’s Truth Forum, in conjunction with Basics Project, is engaged in the production of a first-of-its-kind national educational symposium series that addresses the threat of global terrorism. This series provides attendees with the opportunity to gather first-hand, fact-based knowledge from internationally renowned counter-terrorism experts, researchers, authors and operatives. This national symposium series provides in-depth examination of the ideological and theoretical aspects of this most critical issue, as well as real-time, intellectual, non-political information on current events and strategies used in the battle against an advancing Islamofascist agenda.

In 2006, America’s Truth Forum and Basics Project produced two critically acclaimed symposiums on the underlying roots of the current terrorist threat to the United States, specifically, the threat posed by radical Islamists utilizing terrorism as their weapon of choice. Those attending these two ground-breaking events heard from among seventeen speakers, including: former CIA Director James Woolsey, David Horowitz, Robert Spencer, Dr. Harvey Kushner, Dr. Paul Williams, Wafa Sultan, Dr. Whalid Phares, former PLO operative Whalid Shoebat, Kenneth Timmerman (Nobel Prize nominee), Dr. Bruce Tefft, Joe Kaufman, Laura Mansfield, and Jim Gilchrist, to name but a few.

These events were attended by representatives from government agencies, the military, law enforcement, the counter-terrorism community, the first responder community and the general public. The critique from everyone who attended was overwhelmingly positive.

We have assembled many of the same panel of globally recognized, counter-terrorism experts, and have added a few more. Many have appeared as counter-terrorism experts on a variety of news channel talk shows and each is published on the subject, some numerous times. Their areas of expertise range from having provided counter-terrorism training to those in our government to having seen the horrors of radical Islamist terror first hand.

Apathy and political correctness have proven to be our worst enemies. Few of our fellow citizens realize what is at stake. Clearly, the freedoms that we all hold as sacrosanct are threatened and our country -- as well as the legacy we will leave our children and our children’s children -- is under siege. We simply cannot afford to turn a blind eye to this looming danger. If we fail to take the appropriate actions now, the next generations -- our children -- will be left to carry on the battle against and even stronger and more dedicated foe, an evil whose flame we failed to extinguish. Our legacy should be one of bravely confronting our adversaries, of diligently defending what is rightfully ours. Our actions need to serve as motivating examples for future generations, instilling in them the proclivity to stand resolute in the face of evil.

The national symposium series produced by America’s Truth Forum and Basics Project facilitates not only the education of the public and the private sectors, but it also affords a forum in which the participating counter-terrorism experts can exchange ideas, develop theories and formulate solutions they can then advance to our government and the defenders of freedom throughout the world.

In order to facilitate these advancements we need your financial support in underwriting the October event. Your continued support of our initiative will enable us to facilitate fact-based and realistic solutions over rhetoric.

Let us not forget, the onus of responsibility for the dissemination of accurate and truthful information regarding this looming danger has fallen on our shoulders. It has become the civic responsibility of We the People. It has become a duty of vigilance, demanded by the spirit of our Founders, in defense of our nation. We owe it to the millions of brave souls that made the ultimate sacrifice on our behalf -- our Nation’s finest who paid with their lives so we could live free.

We simply cannot afford to turn a blind eye to this looming danger. . . Our legacy should be one of bravely confronting our adversaries, of diligently defending what is rightfully ours. Our actions need to serve as motivating examples for future generations, instilling in them the proclivity to stand resolute in the face of evil.

AMEN

BTW, I notice that it takes much longer for comments to post. . .causing several duplicate postings. This afternoon, I got a pop-up stating that I could opt out of posting on an insecure website. Interesting.

duplicates are caused by impatience, here's how...
typekey has something going on, it's very slow, and posters often think it's stalled or not going to get through, so they click their mouse again, sometimes more than once, resulting in repeated posts of the same thing.
that's all.

Even on the faster computers it will still take upwards of 15-30 seconds...just click once, it WILL post...just takes a little longer than expected.
patience.

It's hard to escape the impression that the forces behind shutting up the anti-Islam forces are the same corporate forces behind globalization. Those corporate forces are also behind multiculturalism - break down culture, erase all nationalistic boundaries - and you have a global market for your goods.

Then other opportunistic forces with their own global, anti-nationalist agendas latch onto that - namely Islam and socialism. Nationalism (and the trade and immigration controls that follows from it) is a barrier to all three of those forces.

So it seems that all of them work together in tandem to some extent, each of them imagining that they will somehow turn around and defeat one another after they have succeeded in defeating nationalism, in order to prevail globally in the long run, after opportunistically using eachother, in order to advance their quite separate and incompatible global agendas.

And against those three forces all aligned for expedient (or merely misguided idealistic) ends, stands the individual, wanting no part of any of them and seeing all three of them as evil to one degree or another, and not willing to enter into a temporary devil's bargain with any of them.

No wonder it seems so hard and impossible at times to stand against the tide, or perhaps more accurately - against the tsunami.

Sorry - that was probably a bit off topic. It was just a general reflection on all of it - the uphill battle to deal simultaneously with the prevailing media bias, the "hate-crime" and "Islamophobia" charges against the anti-jihad forces, the legal intimidation, the seeming loss of control over immigration policy, the mayor in Brussels cancelling the peaceful protest - just all of it together. It was an overall reflection but really quite OT for this particular thread. Sorry. Forgot myself for a moment...

As to the double or even triple posting, just wait. I've walked away for up to 3 minutes while the little hour glass goes on. It eventually "takes". If it turns out that I've simply timed out, which happens sometimes too, then I copy the post which is still in the comments box over to wordperfect, then sign out and back in and then copy and paste the comment back. I don't think I've ever double posted. Patience is the key!

DOUBLE POSTING

I have once or twice to use the STOP button in an effort to fix a typo before it was posted. The blue status bar had hardly moved so I thought it would not post. To my surprise it was posted. It may take a long time for your screen to refresh, but it seems that the actual post is almost instantaneous.

I wonder what those corporate forces are that are attempting to quash anti-Islam sentiments. Globalization is about opening markets and increasing profits and shareholder wealth. The problem for some it seems is that you cannot get the microwave without the culture. The French have a problem with the influx of American culture that comes with increased trade – see EuroDisney and McDonalds as examples. Their dislike for American culture and its influence is nothing compared to the hatred and distrust of Western culture that comes with trade.

Globalization breaks down borders in that trade is facilitated. The very same things that facilitate trade facilitates the movement of people and material across borders. We have seen that can mean an influx of drugs, illegal immigrants and terrorists. Additionally, one of the real issues with globalization is the friction created by Western culture rubbing against non-Western culture. Globalization and its inherent western bias are seen as a threat to the culture of the Arab-Muslim world. Whereas western ideals are enshrined in the concept of liberal democracy this is not the case in the Middle East. This is not a culture that holds equality, pluralism, property rights and religious freedom as important and fundamental rights. Arab-Muslims, both those who favor and those who oppose globalization, see it as a threat to their culture. With the rejection of modernity comes an increase in fanaticism/fundamentalism. Islamic fundamentalists have called for a return to a strict adherence to the fundamental Muslim texts and an implementation of sharia law in a strictly Islamic state.

But is it the corporations that trade with the Middle East or is it the mass media and/or special interest groups that are the problem? While you are correct, globalization does break down borders however, I don’t think they are responsible for multiculturalism. That is the product of the politically correct left, not corporate America.

Matt.

I would love to attend this conference. Any chance of it (or one like it) being held in Toronto, I hope this will be posted here.

In reference to the double postings and typekey problems, I have found a simple solution. If a posting seems to be taking too long to appear, simply hit the refresh button at the top of the screen and voila your post will appear and no double! Seems to work for me every time. Hope this helps.

Matt: "While you are correct, globalization does break down borders however, I don’t think they are responsible for multiculturalism. That is the product of the politically correct left, not corporate America."

Matt - I'm not so sure. Especially after the recent open borders battle, in which corporate forces were allied with the far left, albeit for different reasons. But if you think about it, wouldn't global corporations have a stake in mainstreaming an idea like multiculturalism in order to set the ground for breaking down borders across which people and goods and services could move?

You say, "But is it the corporations that trade with the Middle East or is it the mass media and/or special interest groups that are the problem?"

But who controls the media? Lots of people on the left claim that corporations ultimately control the media. So to the extent that the media seems to push a multicultural agenda, I could see such an agenda being driven by global corporations as much as by the left. Both would have a stake in fighting against "xenophobic" forces.

You are right that of course Muslims resent the intrusion of western culture into Muslim lands, but naturally they would have no such qualms about the intrusion of Muslim culture into western lands - that's their goal. So it would make sense for them to align with whatever forces are pushing towards multiculturalism and open borders in the west.

That's why I was speculating on the weight of forces opportunistically piggy-backing onto eachother, even though they all have different ultimate agendas.
