The Brussels mayor, the Socialist Freddy Thielemans, has, a short time ago, sent out a press release in which he has banned the demonstration on the 11th sept.The reason for the prohibition is that he says he cannot guarantee public safety and that he won’t disturb the Islamic section of the population in Brussels.
By invoking the lack of public safety, he is precisely highlighting SIOE’s demonstration title:
Stop the Islamisation of Europe.
SIOE’s message through the 4 slogans is exactly to warn against conditions such as these, where people no longer can use their freedom of expression and feel secure, but the shocking facts are that these conditions already reign at the heart of the EU.
SIOE’s demonstration will of course happen, as a peaceful utterance of opinion, an utterance of opinion for which Moslems have countless times received permission to demonstrate in Brussels.
Therefore it is, of course, completely absurd to ban a peaceful demonstration because they are afraid of violent muslim counter-demonstrators!
The mayor in Brussels is not fully aware of his responsibility, for as a mayor at EU’s capital you cannot simply forbid ordinary European citizens to express their constitutional freedoms....

I have witnessed halal slaughter and the animal really is down pretty fast. It's ugly but so is any method of slaughter. Halal is similar to sh'chitah, or kosher slaughter, which is banned in many European countries.
Norway has had problems with the illegal sale of halal chickens being sold out of trash bags from the back of cars in impromptu meat markets in urban centers.
About the demonstration. I bet the good mayor wouldn't ban a demonstration calling FOR sharia law.
Protest anyway. Always bring multiple video cameras and have confederates document the whole thing from a place where the police can not confiscate the video. Post the video as quickly as possible.
Be very polite to the police, but don't stop your protest. Have one leader and have only them talk to the police. Tell the police everything you are going to do, even if it is to disobey them. The police are the good guys and will generally act civilly is you don't surprise them. Don't block traffic or the sidewalk or anything like that. Be very civil but don't respect the injunction not to protest.
The Anti-Sharia Movement must learn from the ecology fight and start staging interesting and peaceful actions. Someone should unfurl a banner like they did in China.
All it takes to lose freedoms is not to fight for them. I fear Europe will die with a whimper unless courageous people step up to the plate.
Now don't rile up the Mohammedan thugs by calling them thugs, people. Don't say Islam is not a religion peace just because angry Mohammedans shoot nuns in the back, stab artists, behead reporters and school children, bomb hospitals, blow up restaurants, shops and hotels, teach their children to hate Jews, Christians, Hindus, Blacks, women, homosexuals, atheists, and the rest of the non-Muslim population on the planet. What a despicable coward. In the US Nazis, Muslims and KKK members march in the streets under police protection if necessary in order to protect these groups right to "free speech".The principle of "free speech" is suppose to be more important then whether any groups is "disturbed". Europeans walk a fine line between defense of free speech and curtailing of free speech. Unlike the US, you see books banned, speech banned, etc. in many European countries. It's usually hateful things, like Mein Kampf, but lately it's been used to ban other things like some of the late Oriana Fallaci's books that do not advocate genocide. I think maybe they should just not try to ban anything at all, even hateful things, as it is in the US. Although, even in the US, we know that flushing Korans down the toilet is a hate crime, while putting a crucifix in urine is art.
Certainly, though, the internal contradictions are reaching a boiling point. On a day when one Dutch politician calls for banning the Koran, something that would never stand a chance in hell of being banned, an anti-sharia rally is banned. If anti-sharia rallies can be banned, and if Mein Kampf is banned, then why not the Koran? It's pretty selective application of anti-hate speech/writing laws. Either ban everything that can reasonably be construed as hate-filled by a large group of people or don't try to ban anything, and let all ideas out, so that people can make up their mind.
But Europe is paternalistic and hypocritical and pro-Islam in many ways, which is the kind of thing CAIR is trying to bring to the US as step one in sharia-fication of America. Within Enlightenment culture, freedom of speech and freedom of religion imply freedom to criticise and question all belief systems and freedom to change one's religion or to practise no religion. Islam violates both by its religious law which forbids all criticism or questioning of EVERYTHING Islamic (Mohammed, sharia, the Quran, the dark deeds of Muslim history), punishing same by death; and also by forbidding apostasy and punishing it by death - not in some dim dark past, but here and now.

Not so. Apparently this Mayor Thielemans, and some other Belgians, have no spine. But many Belgians have spines of steel. Don't write them off. Don't insult them. Some of them are allies, yet you spit on them, and thus shoot yourself in the foot. I've noticed at demonstrations over the last few years that many protesters wear a badge saying how many people they are representing. Would you please represent me as well as yourself and wear a badge with the numeral '2' on it. Please, because I can't be there.
If enough people show up, how could they stop the demonstration? If they allow muslims to march, protest, carry insulting, threatening placards, and scream "allahu akbar", how can they stop indigenous Europeans from having a peaceful rally to express their grievances?! There is power and safety in numbers. If ten thousand people took to the streets of Brussels, the police and the stupid mayor would be helpless. If this situation is mishandled by the so-called "authorities", they might find themselves dealing with civil war instead.

I seem to remember that in elections this year the governing parties in Belgium or only prevented the election of members of their own Muslim resisting party (Valmens Blanks? Or something like it) by granting voting rights to anyone, i.e. mostly Muslims, who been in Belgium two years. This is how they came to have Muslims on their city and town councils who had never stood for Office before and had no political experience whatever.
The Belgians need help.

Sad to say, but you need to do something that captures the imagination, that gets on TV. The Ukrainian Orange Revolution got our attention and sympathy. That is what you need to do. Americans for the most part do not even know how deep the Islamic Trojan House has already penetrated our own house.

I have seen halal slaughter and force feeding of geese for foie gras on video, and both are obviously cruel. Undercover activists have discovered that some cows take up to eight minutes to die from halal throat cutting, and also that geese who have metal tubes forced down their throats for force feeding have very damaged throats sometimes punctured so that the tubes exit through the throat. Obviously causing a liver to swell up to 10 times its normal size is painful. This is not a vegan panic. I know meat eaters who would not eat pate foie gras.

What a sense of relief! Those hours spent researching, reading and writing up on the European Union and it’s dastardly plans for it’s “community” of citizens were not in vain. Could those scarcely believable tales, spun across the “right wing” web sites, making outrageous claims that the EU wanted to incorporate old Christian Europe into a new Islamic entity called Eurabia possibly be true?
And if that is the case, what of the threat of arrest by Europol, (whose headquarters is rather fittingly the ex-Gestapo headquarters) followed by transportation and trial before Eurojust, with both organisations taking precedence over and above the judicial and police departments of national countries. Can it really be the case that such an arrest can take place for mere criticism of an EU institution, a criticism subsequently identified as a criminal act of xenophobic hatred?
These must just be rumours; it is too Orwellian, too Big Brotherish to possibly be true. But these plans are already in the EU pipeline, waiting for the day to come, and come it will before the next two years are out, after which the EU will have total control of it’s subject peoples. No more elections, no more sovereignty, no nation states, no freedom, just an imminent minority status of jizyah paying Dhimmitude.
Will you be able to leave the EU? I doubt it. A gigantic experiment in “social justice” coupled with an ageing population will require an ever-increasing tax burden on its working population. If you think you will be able to jump ship and leg it to Australia then think again buddy boy; without the taxpayer the EU will implode. They need your tax euros’ and you ain’t going nowhere.
As is often the case in history, world-changing events spring from nowhere. If the mayor of Brussels had given his approval to the 11th September demonstration, it is likely that a few thousand would have turned up, waved a few flags and gone home again. The media would have ignored it and the EU would continue on its merry way to full totalitarian rule.
But now the gloves are off. By showing his totalitarian hand before the EU has total power, mayor Thielemans has allowed us a vision of our future, and that vision is of jackboots, flags, gulags, servitude, secret police, religious police, and “mental institutions” for those not toeing the political/religious line.
We may be unable to stop the EU doing anything it wishes to do in a couple of years time - the internet will be blocked, dissidents imprisoned and telephones tapped - but we can do something about it now.
And that something is to be in Brussels on Sep 11th. This may be your one and only chance to make an impression on our EU masters before they make your protest impossible.
By outlawing a democratic demonstration, mayor Thielemans has laid down a marker that will be studied closely by the Brussels politicians. He has slapped our face with his glove, issued a challenge, fired the FIRST shot in a new war. If you run away and hide after the opening salvo then we are finished as a people, a culture, a race and a civilisation.
Don’t let Thielemans and his EU cronies’ notch up a victory after just one act of aggression. Do your duty. Book that ticket for Brussels. In years to come we may well look back and note that 10th August 2007 saw the beginnings of resistance or the beginning of the end.

I have been in involved in the organising of this march and it was obvious from the begining that the authorities i.e. the Socialists would kill it any way they could - they need their voter base i.e. the muslims to maintain power in Belgium as the Native population is deserting them fast - this is all about power - national and supranational - the EU - it will have to be brought down as they are the enemies of freedom .

Please don't get your facts about WWII from Saving Private Ryan. We are indebted to the USA for helping us during the war, but plenty of European serviceman fought and died too.
We in Europe should not need American assistance to deal with our Islamic problem because Muslims are still only a small minority. But we cannot expect America's leaders to offer help to Europe's leaders to fight against Islamification because both sets of leaders seem perfectly happy for it to happen.

Our leaders have deserted us in Europe and American leaders appear to be following the example of their European counterparts. I certainly do not expect Americans to come to our rescue but it is vital that people come together and support each other. Our struggle is one that affects Europe and North America, as well as other regions across the world.

Hello everyone I just would like to tell everyone a story from earlier this evening. I had a couple of friends over for dinner, one of my friends brought her 29 year old nephew who is visiting from Denmark.
I told him that I bought as many Danish goods as I possibly could last year in support of his people during the cartoon fiasco.
He was very surprised to hear that I knew about this, then I asked him what they thought about all the violence that came from this? He asked me what violence?
I was stunned, I said people died all over the world in mass riots that never seem to end, nuns and priests shot in the back etc. He looked at me with amazement and said "How ironic". I thought the exact same thing, for different reasons.
By what I heard tonight most Danes were unaware of the scope of this whole event, if this is so what the hell is going on there?
I'm wondering does anyone in Europe know if this is common for keeping these types of events from the public? If it is this is another major concern for Europe's well being.
Look up Bat Ye'or and find out what dhimmis were forbidden to do in public. Publicly and obviously violate as many of these prohibitions as possible
For example: in many Islamised lands, green was the Islamic colour and non-Muslims were forbidden to wear green. So: if you're Irish, wear your national colour and carry your flag and know that just by doing that, you are defying Islam. Same for Italians, since you have green on your flag. Wear lots of green.
Bring your pet dog - your pet pig, if you have one! Unfortunately, in modern Brussels it would be a bit difficult for the average citizen to ride a horse down the main street, thus violating the rule which forbade dhimmis to ride a horse.
It would also not be possible to bear arms - unless, perhaps, a dress sword forms part of a historic military costume which you have the right to wear ? Or if you are a Sikh? Or a Scotsman, entitled to wear a skean dhu along with your kilt and sporran? If so - do it!
If you are a practising member of any non-Muslim religion, prominently display the symbols of your faith - e.g. a Bible and cross for Christians (which is visible in many European flags, too, for example the Scottish, English, Swiss and Danish flags, so if you carry your flag, you're already breaking the 'no crosses' rule for dhimmis). If Orthodox, maybe your priest will let you carry an icon (I don't know what the rules are about that). Jews - star of David, Torah scroll, kippa, tzitzis, prayer shawl. Whatever other faith you are, carry your banner.
Ladies: show that hair, bare those arms and ankles. Lovers and married couples - appropriately modest but PUBLIC displays of affection.
Visibly display bottles of top quality wine, beer, etc and publicly share same with friends at the end of the 'demonstration'.
The powers that be can prevent a formal march down the streets. But who's to prevent some thousands of people from converging on the town centre/ city park/ cathedral square (whatever is Brussels' symbolic focus), just oh so casually sauntering in, mingling, meeting, some here, some there, and finally all sitting down in the park together for a huge picnic? Mobile phones would allow for loose organisation.

This is untrue. I'm Danish, too, and I tell you this was all over the media, all the time. Top stories on TV news, front pages of all newspapers.
Anyone not noticing the anger and the violence, both symbolic and physical, must voluntarily have avoided seeing any news media.
BTW, the Buy Danish campaigns were most appreciated! While the economic impact may have been limited, the moral boost from seeing so many web sites running 'Buy Danish' banners was important, and gave us hope that standing firm would get us out of the crisis with our liberties intact.

How is it possible to guarantee the safety of islamists demonstrating outside the Danish Embassy and calling for terrorists attacks on Europe but NOT to gurantee the protection of their own people demonstrating against sharia? Maybe we should look long and hard at the background and connections of this particular mayor.
And here we see for ourselves hard proof that the EU's leaders do NOT much value democracy.
Even if Europeans DO manage to find a way to demonstrate against Europe's Islamization publicly (which they SHOULD and I wholeheartedly support their doing so) this time out, the EU's bureaucracy will probably find a way to quell it and continue with its current disastrous political policies.

I think there is a thoroughly embedded and unshakable fallacy accepted by multicultural, Western elites that all religions and cultures are equal, all people are basically the same, and political correctness is more important than national security and the future of Western Civilization. Some Western leaders are well aware of the incongruity of islam and muslim populations in the West, but muslims are here and they believe we are obligated to accept their presence in the name of diversity, freedom of religion, multiculturalism, moral relativism, and political correctness. To protest their presence and the problems they have created would be racist. Muslims refuse to assimilate and accept our culture, so it is our duty to accept them as they are and change our ways to accomodate them. When this outrageous prospect hits home with the broader population, pandemonium will ensue. God forbid that any prominent politician be called a racist, even if he must forsake his oath of office, heritage, culture, and constituency to appease a fifth column, trojan horse, bellicose minority group.
If our elected representatives refuse to uphold and defend our Constitution, protect the citizens from hostile immigrants, and permit our avowed enemies to migrate to our country and wreak havoc upon arrival, they must be removed from office at the earliest opportunity! We don't have to put up with this crap.
