when that group of "islamophobes", which also account for 81% of the population, vote on it, with their guns in close proximity as a backup message.
Politicians get that message really quick when people are ready to lock `n load...it takes a lot for us to get there, but that threshold has just about been reached.

The Christian Dems are actively campaigning to halt muslim immigration:

The Christian Democrats are well aware of the problems that unassimilated muslims can bring with them - I've attended meetings with them about just this issue.

The problem is that for now they are a small group. The last state election in NSW did see them gain a larger share of the votes, and this is considered to be due to their stance on muslim immigration.

A search on JW for "Fred Nile" will bring up a few articles on the Rev Fred Nile and the policies of the CDP.

Well, Pauline Hanson has definitely got it right this time; Islam really is a threat.

Many of us had a gut feeling that all might not be rosy with our multicultural immigration policies, but we were accused of being racist.
Well, it seems Islam will likely prove to be the threat we were wary about naively inviting into our communities.

Pauline Hanson was previously severely treated by our media for her racist statements, and she did make racists remarks, warning that Australians of the future will all have slanty eyes for example.
But she might well have had a point as our previous Prime Minister, Paul Keating had a dream of an Asian Australia, and between 1984 and 1995 40 per cent of all migrants into this country were of Asian origin.
She was vilified by our media, as if we Australians have no right to decide for ourselves whether we wanted the realization of Paul Keating's dream of an Asian Australia.

Pauline Hanson definitely has it right this time with Islam, though I wonder if she has much credibility left with the Australian public, who have been heavily PC indoctrinated by our leftist media.

Here, in the US, it tends to mean Chinese, Korean, Taiwanese, Filipino and other South East Asian, but somehow excludes Japanese and Indian, whereas, in Britain, it is an euphemism for Muslims. Does it have either of these meanings in Australia or a different one?

Based on that, Paul Keatings sentiments may or may not have been anti-Australian, depending on whether Muslims were involved. If Australia took in a lot of people from South Vietnam for instance, that wouldn't have been a problem. But from Indonesia or Lebanon, it would have been.

Incidentally, how much does Australia's immigration need to improve (other than ending Muslim immigration)? They did the right thing by canceling the visa of that Indian Jihadi Mohammed Hanif - even though he's a media celebrity now in India, he was by no means innocent, and Australia is now rid of him?

Some delicacy in Mr. Spencer's rhetoric has obscured the logical conclusion of his reasonable proposal. He says: 1) stop giving visas to residents of Muslim-majority countries, except for Christians and other minority religions; and 2) stop giving visas (at least without some questions) to Muslim residents of countries that are not Muslim-majority. But in fact, the character of the visa applicant's country of origin is irrelevant in clauses 1 and 2 above. The two statements can be combined into one by saying: do not grant visas to Muslims - period - or at least until the jihad is concluded. Infidel Pride, the Australian meaning of 'Asian' pretty much conforms to the U.S. meaning, except we include Japan and India.
I don't know the exact country of origin percentage breakdown of Australia's Asian immigrants in the 1984 to 1995 period; however, I can tell you that most of those Asian immigrants have become splendid citizens and hardworking assets to Australia.
We have had very little trouble from the majority with the exception of some Vietnamese and Chinese drug dealers; and of course the Lebanese Muslim crime gangs.
Keating's sentiments weren't exactly anti-Australian, or at least not consciously on his part, although his policies were definitely against what the majority of Australians wanted.
Rather, he was just very arrogant about implementing his vision of Australia's ethnicity reflecting our geographical location, ie. Asian.
He has some very odd ideas.
Keating is a typical self-loathing, leftist, white Australian.
As far as I know, he had no intention of flooding Australia with Muslims; that honor belongs to a previous Prime Minister, Malcolm Fraser, who out of a misplaced sentimentalism, allowed many Lebanese Muslims into Australia during the 1983 Lebanese civil war.
As far as I know, Australia has never had many Pakistani immigrants.

In NZ we have a similar definition of 'Asian' - it wouldn't include middle eastern people. Most of the fairly large influx of mainly Chinese and Korean Asians here are hardworking, incredibly high achieving and definitely outshining caucasian Kiwis in many fields. They are usually Christian or Buddhist and pro-democratic.

So Australia and NZ might have an Asian-trending ethnic mix in the long term, but only racists worry about that.

I just wish people would wake up to islamism instead. Unfortunately Hanson is so tainted that she'll probably put people off learning about the threat of jihad and islamism.
