Fitzgerald: Defend the West by educating it

"The memo's writer, Mohamed Akram, wrote that members of the Brotherhood 'must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within.'" -- from this article

Cut-and-paste. Print as many copies as you wish. Email others.

Home: Refrigerator (that magnet again). Wallet. Glove compartment.

Outside: Distribute to friends, family, colleagues at work, that person in the check-out line at the supermarket or the dry-cleaners or the Post Office with whom you deliberately strike up a conversation about Islam.

Keep it up. Don't stop.

And there is more to do with this. Much more. Don't merely put that up on your refrigerator door or bulletin-board. Don't merely have it at hand when you are engaging others in conversation, or to give out to acquaintances and colleagues, always as evidentiary accompaniment to, and not in lieu of, coherent argument.

Do something else. Take this remark and a half-dozen or dozen just like it, and put them on big boards. And then the next time you have to counter-picket some anti-American or anti-Israel or anti-Infidel demonstration, make sure you appear with those signboards, with those quotations in very big letters. And make sure the cameras get a view, and the inquiring reporters can't avoid seeing them.

And what's more, perhaps a permanent picketing of the White House and Congress, in which Infidel citizens, will take turns -- a number signing up who will, from the Washington area (or from out of town) to picket for one full day, outside either various Congressional office buildings, or outside the White House itself. Make it a permanent thing, with a dozen or so picketers, of the "from-all-walks-of-life" school. And be sure to include, symbolically, all non-Muslim faiths and also those of no faith at all, and of various ages, races, and so on.

This should be repeated and repeated, endlessly, at every opportunity, in every conceivable place. It should become and remain a permanent reminder of the nature of the menace. And perhaps a few of those picketers can also have relevant passages from the Qur'an inscribed. You can find on-line exactly which ones make the greatest impression, or perhaps just some phrases -- "Banu Qurayza," "Khaybar Oasis," "Asma bint Marwan," "Abu Afak," "Aisha" -- listed, so that those who pass by, and those who report as well, will have to ask what they mean. And then they will have to listen to the reply as each otherwise unfamiliar detail from the Life of Muhammad, uswa hasana, al-insan al-kamil, is patiently and concisely explained.

Up to now, demonstrators have been remarkably limited and unimaginative. How many counter-PLO demonstrators have you seen wearing signs or chanting slogans such as "Israel will live" or "down with terrorism" or "Israel wants peace" or similarly utterly pointless, utterly unconvincing, utterly boring slogans that mean nothing? And they likewise do nothing to bring to any would-be audience's attention the nature of the menace that Israel faces. Such demonstrations are a useless exercise.

But "Stop the Jizyah" then requires people to find out about the "Jizyah," what it was and what it is and what it could be again. "No to the Lesser Jihad Against Israel" allows people to reinterpret the endless siege of Israel correctly, and not as this phony "nationalist" revolt of the "Palestinians." A sign saying "Stop the Campaigns of Da'wa" or "Stop Demographic Conquest" or "Isn't Ten Trillion Dollars Quite Enough?" will raise other issues -- the issue of what constitutes Jihad and the instruments of Jihad, so that those who apparently believe that "Jihadists" (a word to be used sparingly) are limited solely to those Muslims who use violence, who engage in qitaal or combat, will be disabused of the limited nature of their understanding, and will see that the global Jihad is advancing in many, many other ways quite aside from armed combat, or qitaal.

That's a start. That's a way of forcing the introduction of needed concepts. Begin with that of the "Dhimmi" and that of "Jihad." And go from there.

Keep it up. Don't stop.

There is a great deal of work to be done, a great many people who need to be educated.

And thanks to Mr. Spencer and Mr. Fitzgerald we can get educated daily via their websites.

I try to get people to read the archives and other daily articles since they keep us apprised of events around this globe.

ISLAM: the only religion that kills you if you leave.

(A pithy post-it to leave everywhere.)

Slogans are ammo.

Spread the dread.

I just thought of something. I am about into the 4th chapter of Mr. Spencer's book and am finding it a very good reference for how to articulate how the Left, and secularism, supports the muslim's jihad.

It is incidious and being educated takes on greater importance!

I encourage all to read the full article.

This info was dug up in the yard where one of these operatives had lived. "...the organizations' memberships overlapped." Yes, and they were all muslims, and that membership says it all.

I must say this site is unparalleled in providing a crucial education for all citizens of this planet.

The current system of defense, importing more muslims and putting them in first responder /policy making positions and redefining jihad has been funded imperpituity.

I agree with the author of the main article, a great deal of education needs to be undertaken, particularly here in the UK where I live. I ended up getting in a conversation down the pub with one of my friends concerning Islam and I said I didn't like Muslims because of what they did on 7/7 in London. Now he knows I'm not racist, but he was quick to say all religions should be banned, as he thought they were all just as bad as one another. However, it should be noted my friend is fairly ignorant of Islam and its teachings, as we were both taught Christianity almost exclusively at school, and neither of knew anything about Islam (or even cared for it) prior to 9/11, and I only started learning about it post 7/7. And even though he is a smart chap, he has no inclination to teach himself about Islam, and is in fact unaware that its message differs to Christianity. Instead he has bought into the multi-culturism ethos, and he is a prime example of someone who needs educating, without immediately deciding those trying to teach him the truth are bigots or racists. Many of my friends are in fact like this (or certainly in public).

It's difficult to educate people without them immediately thinking you a bigot or racist. Somehow we need to figure out how to break that barrier down, and persuade people what we say is simply the truth.

"ISLAM: the only religion that kills you if you leave.

....Islam is also the only religion that kills you if you do not join....

@poirot123

Not sure if this will work because the current PC thinking is that the Crusades were a Christian problem, but in fact the Crusades were because the spread of Islam. Tell your friends at the pub to reconsider their ancestors had no problem understanding who the enemy was and went off to war to stop them.

The only problem I understand about the Crusades is that they also thought they would help God out and speed up the return of Jesus if the got the holy land back from the Muslims. Big mistake! There were also a bunch of egos (kings) messing things up as will.

Hmmm..."destroying western civilization from within"?
We know this already...

These are all brilliant ideas that counterjihadists should consider using. Subverting the use of placards by the left and the RoP is one of many ideas that hopefully will spread like Israeli cluster bombs over a Hizbollah stronghold as counterjihadism gains momentum.

However, actually mingling with the islamo-leftist crowd should not be done without careful consideration of personal security. It takes little imagination to realize that personifying the 'Zionist'/'right-wing' enemy may trigger the ugliest of mob reactions. Last year a Danish gentleman was beaten up when he waved an Israeli flag at a Hizbollah Nuremberg rally in Copenhagen (2nd picture from the top):

He was lucky, I guess, but things could have turned out quite nasty. More pictures from this Day of Shame for Denmark:

The picture at the top shows then leader of the Socialist People's Party Holger K. Nielsen addressing the anti-Israeli crowd, Hizbollah flags prominent in the foreground. This party is seen as moderate left, only slightly to the left of the Social Democrats (and the party I used to vote for, I'm embarrassed to admit).

On the topic of defending the West - I think it was jb who posted this link yesterday on another thread, and it bears repeating over and over:

http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2007/08/the-history-of-.html

Watch, listen and learn how cultural Marxists have been using the media and academia to undermine and overthrow Western civilization; David Horowitz's "Unholy Warriors" explains the alliance between the communists and the jihadists.

How to save Western civilization? First we must know what that is. I suggest reading the Bible, John Locke, Adam Smith, Edmund Burke, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution (and its amendments), the Federalist Papers, and the Gettysburg Address for starters.

exsgtbrown-

The general public will have to learn Part One ("Islam sentences anyone to death if they dare try to leave it") before they'd ever believe Part Two ("Islam demands that all must convert, submit to serfdom, or die").

First the anti-Easter Bunny, then anti-Santa.

Surak-

Don't forget Tom Paine's "The Crisis".

Funny you talk about this. Some pro-Israel friends and I were recently brainstorming slogans to put on signboards at an upcoming demo.

We all agreed that the Islamic character of the war against Israel needs to be publicly highlighted. Here are a few of our ideas.

- Stop the persecution of Christians and Jews in Muslim countries

- Bin Laden = Palestinian idol

- Al Qaeda = Hamas = Islamic Jihad

- Islamic terror: First Israel, then the world

- United against Islamic terror

- Defeat jihad

- Treatment of women under Islam: No thanks!

Any favorites? Other ideas? Everyone's comments and suggestions are welcome.

And yes, Mr. Fitzgerald, we also have many of those wishy-washy "Israel wants peace" type of slogans. Par for the course, I guess.

Make sure you use the words "Jihad" and "Jizyah" and "Dhimmi" frequently. It will force them into the public's consciousness, and others will have to ask, for example, what "Stop the Jizyah!" means, and even those indifferent to Israel will agree that the rich Arab nations with their "ten trillion dollars" since 1973 ought to be supporting, if there is to be any outside support, for the "Palestinian" people. Make sure those quotation marks, by the way, are always present around the word "Palestinian." Don't give an inch.

"Stop the Lesser Jihad" (what's that, passers-by will ask) and "Stop the Jizyah" and "No More Al-Hudaibiyyah" and "War Is Deception" (Muhammad) and "Today Israel, Tomorrow Spain" and "Today Israel, Tomorrow Sicily" and "Today Israel, Tomorrow Western Europe" and "No, The World Does Not Belong To Allah" and so on. You might go back to the original posting and see if it prompts other possibilities.

Like two suggestions here:

islam - the only religion that tries to kill you for leaving,
- that tries to kill you for not joining,

(screw the libs and enjoy life - sorry, wrong demonstration (lol))

Islam - you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave.
