I think the author of that post is of a very young age given his choices (Bin Laden and Saddam Hussien, both villains of the West and therefore showing that he well and truely sides with them rather than the west, as he thinks it's 'rebellious') and language used (and the fact he has listed six when he meant to list five).

Interestingly he choices Zinedine Zidane, a French footballer (now retired) of Algerian descent, who, "is said to be very proud of his family and his ancestry, identifying himself as "first, a Kabyle from La Castellane, then an Algerian from Marseille, and then a Frenchman" (Wikipedia entry for Zidane). So I'm not entirely sure he is actually a Muslim, if he doesn't at first identify himself as one.

As for naming a Muslim who ever invented anything of note, I'm also non-plussed. Maybe we're not alone?

This list should be an embarassment, and I don't mean the author's difficulty with numbers. The other four just aren't in the same league as Hussein and bin Laden on an all-time recognition list. Mohummad Ali might be close, but that could be my American-centrism showing. Was he as famous elsewhere? As for the footballer (soccer for us Americans, I presume?) and cricket player, uh, sorry, but I bet Khomeini and Atta have far more name and face recognition across the world.

A few years ago USA Today published a "best athlete of the century story" and named Muhammad Ali. A day later someone wrote a long article in rebuttal. Lacking a photographic memory like Hugh Fitzgerald, I don't remember all the details. But what I remember distinctly is that I was convinced that Muhammad Ali was not the greatest athlete of the century (not even close)and that the greatest athlete of the past century was:

This is not a native English speaker and definitely not Hugh. Why was that last paragraph included? The guy sounds like he's 12. The only time Muslims appear to show any intelligence is when they are manipulating and brainwashing.

Take thirty minutes. And write down, for each of the other "two abrahamic faiths," a list of one hundred people who now are part of the history of art, literature, science, philosophy. You may include names of those who, while they may be atheists, certainly came out of, were formed by, a civilization that can reasonably have been called Judeo-Christian and is now called, possibly a bit too optimistically, "Western civilization")

In one minute flat you should be able to write Newton and Locke and St. Augustiine and Shakespeare and Dante and Leonardo and Michelangelo and Einstein and Spinoza and Maimon...oops, time's up for me.

Now, when you have completed those lists, try to do the same for Islam. Remember, you are not writing a list of "famous Muslims" but of Muslims who have contributed significantly to the art and science and thought of the Western world or even to the world. Go ahead. Great list. I would suggest we drop Peace, since it contributes nothing to human knowledge. The Muslims lose more than half their Nobels (5) without it, while the Jews lose a mere five percent. Add up the numbers and the contrast between Jews and Muslims is even more stark:

Tupac was not a mohammedan. Listen to his rap "I Ain't Mad Atcha." In that song, he's addressing a friend with whom he used to run the trails. Tupac reminds him how they bedded women together; then, mocking his friend's hypocrisy, Tupac tells him, "so you a Muslim now...; i hope your wife knows, she got a playa for life."

The sense of it is that the man has changed superficially, and claimed he's accepted the islamic religion as a consequence of his stint in jail, or something like that. I remember seeing on Malaysian television a Muslim scholar claim that Islam was ultimately the source of all of modern computer technology because, after all, it was Muslims who invented the concept of zero. And we all know that binary coding relies on just 0's and 1's. Apparently, no one had pointed out to him that our so-called Arab numerals actually originated from India, and that "cypher" or zero was decidedly a Hindu concept.

Speaking of Malaysia, today is the 50th anniversary of that country's independence from Britain. In "modern" Malaysia you can be imprisoned for converting from Islam to another religion or, of course, for becoming a Muslim apostate. And if you are a young bright Chinese or Tamil non-Muslim Malaysian you may be denied access to university because of a racial quota system that favours Muslims over Non-muslims (thousands are denied access, and are forced to study overseas). Young Muslim teenagers, especially non-religious ones (and there are many) can also be arrested by Malaysia's cretinous religious police if they found in the proximity of someone of the opposite sex who is not a relative.

Arabism most definitely is a "racist-supremacist ideology" and islam is a supremacist ideology, albeit not racist because islam is not a race. People who hate islam, like me, are not racists. Muslims who hate everyone but other muslims are intolerant megalomaniacs but not racists. Arabs are the most egregious racists in the world. Doctrinal hatred and supremacy, as espoused by islam's canonical texts, are so vile and evil that they are simply incomprehensible to most civilized people.

"Discrediting value" sounds oxymoronic to me. I don't get what you are saying. Everyone here knows that islam was borne of Arab cultural imperialism and that the Qur'an and other islamic canonical texts are political weapons used to enslave non-Arab cultures. Everywhere Arab muslims spread their vile creed they imposed, or tried to impose, their language, moral codes, and culture. Muslims are expected to have Arab names and wear Arab garb whether they live in Pakistan, New Jersey, or Iraq. Even the spawning ground of islam, Arabia, is a sacred place, especially Mecca and the pagan ka'bah, a heathen shrine. Islam is little more than Arab paganism elevated to divine stature, and Arab cultural imperialism imposed on vanquished people. It got really bad when people began to actually believe and practice the eschatological perversions of islam.

Perhaps you would come to a different conclusion if you merely googled the phrase "vehicle of Arab supremacism.” That will be enough. And for a bit more, you might find more by googling, along with "Jihad Watch" and "Posted by Hugh" such phrases as "non-Arab Muslims" or "Kurds" or "Berbers" or "black Africans" or "Ahiara Declaration" or "Col. Ojukwu" or "Biafra" or "Ethiopia" or The Hideous Trade" or "castrated" or "Sudan" or "seizing the southern Sudan," for a start, a very small start.

Once you have done that, performed that little exercise, I suspect you will cease to presume that I “don’t seem to be able to grasp” this matter, and cease to complacently assume that I need to take tuition from you.
