NEW YORK -- An American credited with playing a key part in a probe of an Oregon terror training camp pleaded guilty to terrorism charges Monday, admitting his role after his violation of a plea agreement let the government bring more serious charges against him.
James Ujaama, a Muslim convert from Seattle, said he tried to set up the camp in Bly, Ore., in 1999 and notified a radical Islamic cleric in Britain that he and others were stockpiling weapons and ammunition in the United States.
He also admitted that between June 2000 and Dec. 19, 2001, he tried to raise money and provide other help to terrorists in Afghanistan.
Ujaama's lawyer, Peter Offenbecher, declined to comment.
The plea in U.S. District Court in Manhattan to conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists and providing material support or resources to terrorists exposed Ujaama, 41, to a potential prison sentence of up to 30 years.
U.S. District Judge John F. Keenan set sentencing for Dec. 12.
Ujaama was once a prized government cooperator. He pleaded guilty in April 2003 in Seattle to lesser charges of conspiring to provide cash, computers and fighters to the Taliban. He served two years in prison and agreed to cooperate with terrorism investigations until 2013.
Federal officials have called Ujaama's help crucial in the 2004 indictment of Muslim cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri on charges of trying to establish the training camp and providing aid to al-Qaida.
Al-Masri was arrested in England on a U.S. extradition warrant but has since been sentenced to seven years in jail there for inciting followers to kill non-Muslims. Also charged in the terror-camp case are Haroon Rashid Aswat, who is being held in England, and Oussama Kassir, who is being held in the Czech Republic.
Ujaama was returned to prison in February for violating parole by traveling to Belize with a fake Mexican passport.
Ujaama said Monday he fled because he did not want to testify in a case in federal court in Manhattan pending against al-Masri.
On Friday, U.S. District Judge Barbara Jacobs Rothstein in Seattle found he had violated his 2003 plea agreement, an action that permitted the federal government to restore terrorism charges against him.
The indictment said that while in Bly, Kassir and others discussed a plan to kill truck drivers traveling through Oregon and then steal their cargo for money and goods to support the training camp. It said Kassir and Aswat tried to train others on how to make bombs and poisons.
Oregon authorities have said the Bly camp never materialized beyond a dozen people taking target practice.
Enough with this waste of money on prison for terrorists.

You are correct "profitsbeard"..as always you have the right notion. These inhuman people need to be shown the inhuman bayonet...the only thing these animals fear is fire and steel...the noose is a good start, but I would like to see them terrified, like Jose Padilla is of his "Navy Brig" cell, like the Guantanamo prisoner is afraid of being returned to his home country. Grapeshot in our cannons, flame throwers on our tanks, and fixed bayonets is the only remedy for psychos...just like Iwo Jima.

.......once again we see a mosque as the center for military operations....all mosques should be closely monitored to see who comes and goes...undercover videos taken inside of several mosques have proven that violent teachings occur..the Islamic clerics call for infidel death cannot be ignored....I think it would be worth the effort to research the past to get the names of all those who were affiliated with this now defunct mosque...some interesting identities might be uncovered....and where are these individuals now?....
.......and once again we see a Muslim convert as being just as violent as any Muslim terrorist thug found anywhere....
...it is know that Muslims are trying very hard to convert black prison inmates to Islam....the ones that are being converted tend to be violent and under educated.....these black prison Muslim converts have no objection to killing whitey or those who have captured and convicted and sentenced him to prison....just the type of person the Peaceful Religion of Islam adores and welcomes.....

While it does warrant death (treason in wartime),
and the fact that this judge is one who managed to get put in by Renaldus Magnus (despite the courts anti-execution attitudes), I highly doubt he'll get death...but considering the mentalities in the court system, I'd be happy with life-no parole.

My first contact with any Muslims was when I was in Prison for a short time many years ago. The Islamic "church" met in a large room with their own guards posted at the doors. No prison guards were present except in the hallway outside the room as they were going to another wing of the prison. This particular prison did not have a large gang population as so many do today. The Muslims (all black) WERE the only gang this prison had. Their "Imam" commited more crimes in there than anyone else. The black on black recruitment was intense! The state officals felt constrained by the Federal regs and, for fear of lawsuits, had adopted a strict "hands off" policy. In some prisons today, the Bloods,Cripts, Mexican Mafia, MS 13, and the Arian Brotherhood all vie for new arrivals along with the Muslims. A Muslim could be in any gang also and rather relished by the Muslims as a spy. The "Genesis" of a lot of this was the Nation of Islam under Louis F. back in the 70's.
The Muslims raped when they felt like it. All of the whites banded together for protection except for the known homosexuals. All this under the watchful eyes of the administration who couldnt, and wouldnt, do anything about it.
As part of the Christian community we had our open meetings with a few Muslim spys in attendance to see that nothing negative was said about their group.
My wife and I have done prison ministry for many years now and have witnessed the growth of Islam in our nations prisons. The racial AND religious anger combined, make for a toxic atmosphere of fear in many of our prisons today.
Monitor every mosque.
Recall the grad ceremony at a U recently.
There was a Saudi grad in engineering.
Likely sponsored and paid for by the toxic royals.
Felt like rising and protesting.
