An 18th century Sikh temple at Naulakha Bazaar in Lahore has been taken over by a Muslim group, which has replaced the gurdwara's religious symbols with Islamic slogans, a Pakistani daily reported Tuesday."They have taken over our temple, claiming it as their own. They have stopped us from entering the premises for the past two months," the Daily Times quoted Dr Mampal Singh, a representative of the Sikh community, as saying.
He also claimed that the Evacuee Trust Property Board -- which controls the Bhai Taro Singh Jee gurdwara -- was supporting the intruders on their claim and not taking any action against them.
"We have written to ETPB on July 8 for the restoration of the temple to us and the officials told us they would act on the application within a month. But they haven't done anything yet and the intruders are tightening their grip on our worship place," Dr Singh said.

Nothing surprising here. This has been happening for centuries. This and MUCH worse.
Oh yeah, the Sikhs have always been a thorn in the flesh for Islamic radicals. Heck more than that. If there's any ethnic group in the world that can make Muslims piss in their pants, it is the Sikhs. While Muslim fanatics dont fear even death by flying in a plane and crashing into a building, a determined Sikh community can cause absolute mayhem.
You should read about Maharaja Ranjit Singh (SHER-E-PUNJAB)'s exploits to know about the Sikhs' heroism. He was the guy who kicked the uncultured, uncivilized, barbaric, bearded Afghans out of the Punjab and made sure they would never come back into India. Thank God for that! The region has enough fanatics. It can do without Afghans!
Another important thing about the Sher was the secular nature of his empire. Though he was the custodian of the Sikh faith, he never forced it on his subjects. He abolished the jizya tax. He'll forever be remembered as one of the greatest sons India ever produced.
The most interesting thing, however, was that a majorty of the population in his empire were Muslims! And he never treated them like the Paki fanatics are treating the Sikhs today. The Muslims are never known for gratitude to infidels anyway.

This is such a classic case of failed Multiculturalism in Canada because it was just this past weekend that the East-Indian section of Toronto held their Street Festival to display the Food/Dress/Dance aspect of their Culture .
The Radio coverage boasted about the mixed Faiths among the people and that the central Cultural unified them , alas.....this now appears short-lived since the Muslims back home have now pissed-off the Sikh's in this Model community of Tolerance and Pluralism.
It was 22 years ago that Sikh's in Canada put bombs on Planes and managed to slaughter 240 Canadian civilians in a 747 over the Atlantic because of hurt feelings over a Religous issue back home.
This year there were about 3 Memorials built in Major Cities in canada and in order to not offend Sikhs the Plaques were purged of any reference to the relegion of the Terrorists in B.C. Canada .
The CBC ( State propaganda Ministry ) even purged their archive for 9/11 and no longer call the 19 Muslims 'Muslims' , the slaughter of 3000 civilians is now a 'Tragic event' where several Planes were overtaken and collided with Office Towers or crashed.
I guess that the CBC archives will now list Hitler as a Vegetarian and dog lover who misplaced 12 million civilians during a Housing/Work program.
The good news is that the Jihadists will go after the weak and stupid leftists who are sleep-walking towards the slaughter House , once the gene-pool is purged of the yahoos the Jihadists will see a real War and Hooper will see real Backlash for his Islamic crusade to claim America for Allah and Muhammed.

The event you are referring to 22 years ago was a Sikh separatist group taking out an Air India plane over the Atlantic, in which several Canadians of Indian origin were taken out.
I don't condone it, but it wasn't a terrorist act against Canada, even though Canada rightly treats it as such. It was a terror act against India in response to a string of events in India. Given how the Sikh community outside India is split between the separatist Khalistani movement (which I referenced above) and those content with co-existing with Hindus, I think the memorial would have done fine to qualify the terrorists as Sikh separatists, instead of dropping all references altogether. It was ridiculous to delete references to avoid offending Sikhs, since unlike Muslims, at least 50% of Sikhs don't have a desire to religiously remove non-Sikhs from Punjab (let alone conquer the world).
What I do wish is that militant Sikh separatists target Pakistan and Afghanistan for treating Sikhs like dirt - something that they to date, and to the best of my knowledge - have never done.

I've read this story about how Guru Nanak managed to make it into Mecca - he probably told them in Arabic that he was a man of God, and they admitted him in, thinking that he was Muslim. At any rate, he slept with his feet facing the Ka'aba, and an irate Muslim woke him up and demanded to know what he was doing. He responded by telling him that Allah is everywhere, and challenged him to turn his feet where Allah doesn't exist.
Nonetheless, it's a wonder that he made it out alive. At any rate, Sikhs should consider themselves blessed to be banned from Saudi Arabia. They should add all Islamic countries to that list, including Pakistan and Afghanistan (they happen to be the largest religious minority in the latter). Unless they manage to conquer Pakistan and make it their new Khalistan. Repossess Peshawar and Jamrud, where Hari Singh Nalwa made his last stand.
