Most of those charges were later dropped, and one was pending when he died.
More recently, Bey's son and some other young men were identified as the young toughs who bashed liquor bottles in Oakland corner stores and berated the owners for selling alcohol in the community.
Also, longtime Oakland journalist Chauncey Bailey was reportedly researching an investigative piece into Your Black Muslim Bakery before he was shot and killed just yesterday morning.
It remains unclear whether that killing is connected to today's heavy police activity at the bakery.

Believe it or not, I work in Oakland and 3 blocks from all of what happened. I used to go to that bakery - before 9/11. It is like I posted previously that I would have been fat, dumb and happy to live next to muslims. No doubt the PC community of Oakland will soon be making all the sounds usually associated with eating a half dozen shabazz bean pies. Also, cold blooded murder will be transformed into a 'tragedy'.
This shop is two doors down from one of Oakland's medical cannibus store and those patrons have complained how they were getting bad stares and basic attitudes thrown at them from the new owner of the bakery, the son of Bey. THe other activity of busting up liquer stores also rilled up other locals. The reaction of some of the locals caused them to be more careful in there pro sharia activities. Unfortunatly Oakland is a violent place and murder is a common "solution" to problems there. Hopefully Bailey's work will be picked up because those guys at the bakery give me the creeps.

I have worked here for more than 18 years and am not afraid. I look these guys in the eyes and absolutely no one has bothered me. I just have not ever let myself be ruled by fear - and don't think that I don't have it. I just don't get stopped by it. Now, other women that I know behave as if every other black man is going to rape them, or do something to them, and gee they are the ones who have had purses stolen, had a knife blade shown to them, etc. I have not.
I live next to some Mexico Mexicans right now and they thought they were going to bring their ghetto life next to me. They started the 'I don't speak English' crud on me and believe me - I didn't buy it and guess what?! They figured out how to speak English. Gee, I wonder how that happened?! I let them know they will not work on their vehicles in front of my house, play their rap crap, congregate dozens of them in my drive way, or anything disgusting like that around me - I just won't put up with it. And it has stopped.
Don't live your life in fear. Don't be stupid, but don't think you have to appease people - we all have a right to peace and security - and sometimes we have to insist on that. I am not nasty once - twice - three times. If I have to 'ask' a third time they are given a warning that the next time I won't take it anymore and the cops will be involved. I work for a Mennonite-owned bakery, and I can tell you with certainty that we beat our eggs senseless every day...and I personally do a smear job on the sticky buns that would make a hardened criminal blush. And the end product? To DIE for of course....but it'll cost ya...There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.

R_not, it isn't just being in the midst of a left-wing looney bin where you can't say these things out loud. I live in a very conservative place and am surrounded by conservative-minded folks...and THEY are afraid to say things about islam and muslims, too. PC Thought Patrols are in our heads.
The story reminds me of the Jonestown massacre in 79. It seems there was an investigation by a reporter which led to the death of a congressman investigating allegations of abuse at Jonestown.
Shot on the tarmac, and then the mass suicides. I think if the screws are tightened as tight as they can get, members of the Religion of Peace™ will off themselves in a massive Kool-Aid drinking frenzy.

I've read a lot about Jonestown and its beginnings.
The people were isolated in Guyana with little to no contact with the outside world, so they believed Jim Jones's paranoid ravings. As far as they knew, the world was about to come storming in to kill them all.
