The popular Islamist-jihadist forum www.alhesbah.org, hosted by RealWebHost in Texas, U.S., recently posted an anonymously written document from 2003 titled "The Excellent Summary of the Rules of the Art of Kidnapping Americans." The 60-page guide describes each stage of the kidnapping, explaining how to select the target and then how to follow him, seize him, transport him to a safe location, and hold him there, as well as how to conduct negotiations. The guide also explains how to execute the hostage should negotiations fail.The following are the details:
The guide begins by enumerating goals that a kidnapping can achieve, including the release of prisoners, extraction of information from the hostage, weakening the enemy's morale and creating deterrence, raising international awareness of conflicts in which the kidnappers' organization is involved, blackmailing the enemy for money, and generating anti-government sentiment in the hostage's country of origin.
In the section dealing with selecting a target, the guide recommends choosing someone of importance to the enemy (such as a high-ranking military officer or a prominent businessman). However, he should not be a physically strong person who can put up significant resistance. In order to ensure that the operation goes smoothly, it is recommended that he be knocked out with tranquilizers.

The last section of the guide deals with the demands stage, and states that after stipulating their demands and setting a deadline, the kidnappers must conduct negotiations using a mobile phone registered under a false name, or else a pay phone (a different one for each call). The guide also explains that if it becomes necessary to execute the hostage, this is best done by hanging or poisoning rather than by shooting. This is because soldiers regard death by shooting as an honorable death, and because shooting leaves considerable bloodstains at the scene.
Hmmm...if it's in Dallas, it wouldn't surprise me at all.
That aside...makes ya wonder if they have in mind to try and kidnap Americans in our own country some day? Wouldn't surprise me either.

My rules for anti hostage action, hit hard hit early get out of the area. Don’t let their plan as is said begin to come together make them fear taking hostages and maybe some of them will be scared off. You can go down fighting or you can go down sitting, it is up to you but make up your mind now.

During the Indian mutiny in the 19th century, rumors that muskets were greased with cow and pig fat was one of the principle triggers of that revolt. Even though greasing of weapons is out of vogue now, maybe a new range of bullets should be introduced that are 'Haram certified', and are greased, or include pork in some other way (even pigskin coated bullets would do). If possible, make them in all types to fit all guns, and then provide them. One can be almost sure that Muslims won't use it, while those arming themselves against Muslims most definitely will.

This has great possibilities. Perhaps a bullet with a small latex bauble of non-spoiling extract of pig's blood at the tip. (Maybe inside a hollow point, if structurally necessary.) This foils jihadis' entire incentive structure, of course.
The key is their foreknowledge of it (widespread ads, leaflets). I feel like marketing them prominently. How about the name "Ameribullets"? by the Infidel Pride Munitions Corp.?

I grew up around it...the best thing about it?

Yes I agree, you are talking to a guy who spent many a summer day in Dodge city, boot hill was one of my favorite places to spend free time and daydream. I wouldn’t want to live there though, boot hill that is. We were pre civil war wagon trainers as well, sort of, we didn’t exactly have a train, a couple of wagons describes it best. You cant make much of a circle with a couple of wagons, maybe that’s why they stopped in Kansas. Oh and John Wayne is da man!
